Best Thoughts Card

Hi, today's card is using a new hostess set called Best Thoughts and two of my favorite techniques. Heat Embossing and Water colouring.

You don't need to be an expert to get great results with water colouring this flower, it's super easy. But you do need to use Water Colour Paper.

Colours used are Watermelon Wonder, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Smoky Slate & Memento Black.

Isn't that new Watermelon Wonder Dotted Lace Trim just beautiful!

Other products used on this card are the Elegant Butterfly punch and pearls/rhinestones.

And here's the other card we made featuring the lovely flowers in the Hostess set Bloom with Hope, also in the new colours. This card was inspired by a card made by Claire Daly. The flowers are coloured with the Blendabilities (new alcohol markers.)

Favorites - Old & New.

Hi, today I have two similar cards to share, they both have the same colour combination and the same frame I've just used different flower stamps, one old about to be retired and one new coming in the new catalogue on 1st July. My old favorite hostess set and my new favorite hostess set.
Simply Sketched my old favorite, coloured with the new Rich Razzelberry and Old Olive blendabilities alcohol markers.
Bloom with Hope my new favorite hostess set, also coloured in Rich Razzelberry, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight blendabilities. I love how these alcohol markers blend so well on Whisper White card stock, no special card required. The ribbon is also  new, 3/8" (1cm) Stitched Satin ribbon in new In Colour Blackberry Bliss. The frame from On Film Framelits is cut out in the new In Colour Mossy Meadow.

Blendabilities can also be used for colouring rhinestones and pearls and ribbon. So cool, now I can have any colour rhinestone I want.
Other products used are Memento Black Ink, Spritzer.

Easy Scrap Page - Happy.

This Scrap Page was very easy to make and came together quite quickly. Just using scraps and bits & pieces.  We don't always need to use our fancy tools, I love the simplicity of this page.
I know it's not a great photo but it does looks fantastic. It's hard to go wrong with such a gorgeous little girl as the main focus.
Left over strips of Venetian Romance DSP placed under the photo. A cluster of odd flowers, left over Crochet Trim and twine, bits and pieces.
The greeting "You can never have too much Happy" from the Yippee-Skippy stamp set, is perfect for this page. Every time I look at this page I smile, it makes me happy.  A bit of spritzing and a scattering of sequin's and pearls helps to fill up the page with out  crowding.

Hope you all have a wonderful Mothers Day tomorrow.

And you know how I love the spritzing behind the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die making a fun background. The colours are Very Vanilla, Crisp Cantaloupe and Coastal Cabana. Cute Scrapbook Page.

Good Morning, today's project is a very cute Scrapbook Page. I love this photo of my daughter when she was two and so cute which is why I titled this page "cuteness".

Using the Gingham Garden DSP, it's so bright and fun and just right for this project.

With a cluster of hearts from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and a cluster of flowers with the "You make me Happy" sentiment from the Hello Lovely stamp set. Did you notice the Melon Mambo flowers? I used the Simply Pressed Clay and molds to make these, so fun. I'm really loving the Banner trend right now and using the Hearts a Flutter Frame Lits dies makes for a quick and easy banner. Added a bit of Washi Tape here and there just because it looks great, I am fast becoming addicted to Washi Tape.

Have a great day.

Secret Garden Easel Card.

I needed a very special card for a very special person, my sister, as I can't be with her to share her birthday this year. Using the beautiful Secret Garden stamp set and Frame Lit dies in an Easel Card made famous by the very talented  Bronwyn Easterly addINKtive designs. Thank you Bronwyn.

There is a lot going on with this card so I won't list it all, but the Strawberry Slush flowers were heat embossed with white embossing powder then coloured with a dauber. I love how this looks.

Wish you all a fabulous day.

Hello, Lovely.

Hi, today's card I made for a special person that I have been friends with for a long time, I'm not going to give away my age here, lets just say we have been friends since grade 8.

This was a Printrest  inspired card made by Natasha Schweche, which links back to Stampin Connection.  I am so hooked on Printrest. I water coloured the beautiful flower from the hostess set Simply Sketched straight onto the doily  being careful not to use too much water so I didn't tear the doily. Greeting is from the Hello, Lovely set.

JAI #166

Hi, the challenge over at Just Add Ink this week is a colour challenge using the colours Crumb Cake, Lucky Limeade and Midnight Muse.  I had never used this colour combination before and I quite like how it turned out. Head over to JAI to see what the design team came up with.

I've used the Vintage Verses stamp set with some scoring on the bottom using my Score Pal to a add a bit of extra dimension and of course a bit of spritzing on the flower and the background.

I'm so excited, I'll be at the Stampin' Up! convention for the next few days. It's in Brisbane this year, lucky for me I live in Brisbane.  I'll let you know all about it.

Have a great day.
