a BIG Thank You & Farewell...

Hey!

It's another of those posts that I find hard to write and put all my feelings into. It is with sadness that  we at Uniko are saying farewell to another of our FABulous Design Team members Sarah Gray from Funky Fossil Designs.

Sarah has been a member of the Uniko DT since March 2015. For over 2 years I have had the honour and pleasure of having Sarah as part of the Uniko family. It seems longer than 2 years as before Sarah was a member of the DT, she was a regular customer too! Seeing the inspiration and creativity flow when Sarah works her magic with Uniko products is simply amazing.  

A BIG thank you will never be enough to resonate my gratitude for all that Sarah has done for me and Uniko, she has truly been an inspiration to me and I am sure to all the Uniko customers old and new alike.

I thought it would be nice to share a few of my favourite Sarah creations (choosing just a selection was SO hard)...

So, we couldn't let Sarah leave without giving her a little farewell send off, so the Design Team & I each made a card to share....

a HUGE thank you and Farewell...

It's another of those posts that I find hard to write and put all my feelings into. It is with sadness that  we at Uniko are saying farewell to our longest standing Design Team member Nicki Scheck from Creativity Lives Here.

Nicki has been a member of the Uniko DT since October 2012! For nearly 4 years I have had the honour and pleasure of having Nicki as part of the Uniko family. Seeing the inspiration and creativity flow when Nicki works her magic with Uniko products is simply amazing. Plus I have been able to see her beautiful twin boys grow, giving me confidence, support and courage that 'life' is possible with twins!  

A HUGE thank you will never be enough to resonate my gratitude for all that Nicki has done for me and Uniko, she has truly been an inspiration to me and I am sure to all the Uniko customers old and new alike. 

So, I couldn't let Nicki leave without giving her a little farewell send off and making a card. I love Nicki's card making style, stylish, colourful and CAS. Her eye for design and composition is impeccable and I especially love how Nicki combines florals and geometrics with ease. So with that in mind this is the card I came up with...

When I saw the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below, I immediately thought of a combination of geometrics and florals - a perfect 'Nicki' card so I gave it ago. 

I also gave my ink blending a little more practice, Nicki's use of colour and blending colours is always flawless and inspiring, I hope I have done it justice for Nicki. I kept the bloom from Beautiful Blooms II (back in stock soon) black and white in contrast to the colourful panel. I did add a little Wink Of Stella to the white parts of the bloom and leaves for an added oomph!

Thank you So Much

Hey!

Well, some of you have already rang in the New Year & I wish you all a Happy 2016. But first as it is still 2015 here in the UK for a few more hours I wanted to stop by to say THANK YOU for an amazing year here at Uniko HQ!

2015 has been a eventful year and a HUGE learning curve for me as a mum to my twin beans alongside keeping Uniko Ltd going! 

I am thankful for so many things and so many people that if I tried to list them all I would forget someone or something so tonight I have made a card to show my THANKS to you all...

I had a little creative time tonight and decided to play along with the new ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below. 

I also gave my new Heidi Swapp Mini Minc Machine a whirl and added some gold foil to heart from Always & Forever. LOVING this machine and can't wait to make full use of it in 2016! 

Anyway, I thought I would also share 12 of my favourite projects from 2015 and I put together this little collage of them...

Before I go there is a Uniko Design Team member to say THANK YOU and farewell to, Gillian has decided to step down from the Design Team. With becoming a mum this year to her gorgeous little boy, crafting time has become limited. Gillian has been a wonderful inspiration to me and the rest of the Uniko DT and I am sure to all of you wonderful Uniko fans. 

Thank you Gillian you WILL be truly missed.

My 'go to' flower seems to be Flower Power #5 at the moment as it matches one of the flowers from Background Builders: Vines.

I like tags, but they are not my 'go to' for project making, but as you may or may not know there is a new challenge blog coming called Tag You're It Challenge! It's a clean and simple (CAS) challenge blog and the focus is tags, may they be on their own or featured on a CAS card. So, anyway, I decided to create a matching tag to go with the card...
