September Diva Dare ~ Final Day!

Hi everyone!  It's Jackie here and thanks to a major mix up on my part I am bringing you the final day of the September Diva Dare!  You see, I confused my post day and completely missed it so I am the cabooose on the September Diva Dare train!

This month, we've come up with a fun challenge, we DARE you to Case-a-Diva!  With nineteen Divas (see the photos and links on the right sidebar), the inspiration is vast!  For those of you that are wondering...CASE means to copy and share everything.  And that is just fancy talk for copying!  What you copy is up to you!  It can be a layout, color scheme, or even something more subtle like a certain embellishment cluster!

You will find the links to all the Diva's blogs on the right sidebar, or you can visit their individual Verve galleries!

I had the PLEASURE of CASEing my friend, Charmie, or Charmaine to all of you!  Charmaine has such a fun style, always using fun colors and layouts!  It was a toughie trying to choose a card, but I finally settled on this card.  I just loved the layout and all the pink she used!  Hope I did Charmie proud!

So I followed the sketch almost exactly!  LOVE how Charmaine overlapped two of the Tagged Rectangles!  I kept my overall color pink, but added in some of my fave Chocolate Brown.  I also changed up the image, using my favorite flower and sentiment from Sunny Days.  I stamped the flower twice, cutting out a portion of the second and popping it up for dimension.  An ivory linen thread tied button tops the flower.  I used some chocolate crinkled seam binding for my bow.  Some machine stitching and some scallops finish the card!

Well, that's all from me today!  I hope I've inspired you to play along!  There's still time!

Here are the details:

  1. Play along with us and link up your new Case-a-Diva creation (posted September 16 or later) to the linky widget below before 9pm Mountain on Sunday,October 2nd. One lucky stamper will win a $30.00 gift certificate to the Verve Store. Verve Stamps are not required, but if you've got 'em we would LOVE to see ‘em!
  2. For another chance to win, be sure to give the Divas a little shout-out in the comments section as we share our Case-a-Diva creations. One lucky commenter will win the Verve stamp set of his or her choosing! Winners will be announced on Monday,October 3rd right here on the Verve blog.

Now it's YOUR turn! We DARE you to show us your creations!

August Diva Dare ~ Day 8

Hi everyone!  It's Jackie here and today is my day to answer this month's Diva Dare!  But before I get to my card, haven't the projects from the Diva's been amazing?  I tell you, these are a talented bunch of ladies!  They make me want to do my best everytime I sit at my craft table!!  They are an uplifting and encouraging bunch of ladies, just as all of you are!  But I digress.....

For those of you that are new to this challenge, here is how it works...following each release, we will post a theme that we dare you with, and you'll have two weeks to complete the challenge. During those two weeks, the release team will post their creations and tell you how they answered the dare!

This month's theme is Sending Some Sunshine!  If you all are anything like me, you have tons of cards sitting at home all piled up!  I thought it would be fun to make an uplifting & cheerful card and actually send it to someone!  There's nothing like opening your mailbox and seeing a handmade card...especially with some of Verve's encouraging sentiments on it!  :-)

So, we DARE you to make an uplifting and encouraging card AND send it to someone in need of a little pick-me-up!

Here is how I answered the dare:

I just loved the the last release and couldn't wait to get a couple of the sets inky again.  For my card I used the new Sunny Days and You and I along with the I Heart U die set.  The "U" was stamped in Riding Hood Red ink and was cut out with the coordinating die.  The flowers were stamped in Dark Chocolate, were cut out and finsihed with a wooden button, the center flower being tied with some thick linen thread.  The sentiment was cut out with Charming Banner die set.  The sketch is September's Sketch For You To Try from Jen del Muro.  I didn't round all corners as her sketch was, but rounded only one.....kind of my thing lately!  The card was finished with some machine stitching.

A detail shot....

July Diva Dare ~ Day 9

Hi there!  It's Jackie here with day 9 of the July Diva Dare.  Haven't all the girls projects been fantastic?  I tell you, I'm a lucky girl to be surrounded by such talent!

This month we dare you to make a card, project, layout, or whatever fits your stamping style using this month's theme - Sentimental About Paper!  It's time to dig into all that gorgeous patterned paper you've been hoarding saving (we know you have some!!)!  Showcase all those amazing sentiment stamps (no images) to create a new and never before seen project!  Paired with pretty patterned paper, Verve's famous sentiments will take center stage!  While it is not necessary to use Verve stamps to enter, we would love to see them if you've got 'em!  To sweeten up the challenge even more, stay tuned to learn how you could win some brand new Verve!

Here is how I answered the dare:

I used the gorgeous new set, New Mercies, combined with this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #201. I stamped Psalm 130:5 in Dark Chocolate ink, cut it out with a Labels 16 Nestability and sponged it with some Bermuda Bay ink before removing it from the die. The papers I used are from the new Authentique Splendid Collection. It's hard to tell from the picture, but I ran the yellow gingham layer through my paper crimper. It adds a lot of texture. I made a seam binding "double" bow and finished it with a small tag cut from the same patterned paper pad finished with some Kraft twine and a small butterfly diecut. A couple more beautiful butterflies, some buttons tied with twine and machine stitching finish the card.

Here is a close up of the details and the dimension that I love......

January Diva Dare ~ Day 2

Hi there!!  It's Jackie here and I'm excited to be here for day 2 of the Diva Dare!  I'll give you the details of the dare and I'll show you how I answered the dare!

We dare you to make a card, project, layout, or whatever fits your stamping style using this month's theme - Baby Love!  The baby part could be for a new little someone...or a special someone!  Be sure to look for the details on how you can win some new Verve goodies at the end of this post!

I have to say that this last release was probably my FAVORITE Verve release to date!  I am a SUCKER for a great baby set, even though my babies are not babies anymore, so I couldn't wait to get To the Moon a little more inky!  I can't get enough of these darling images that Julee designed!

But first, I couldn't get two things out of my head:

1)  The first Viva la Verve sketch of the year designed by Amber (LOVE this sketch)
and 2)  THIS adorable card made my our own Amy Sheffer.  I just love the frame and had to do the same technique (Thanks, Amy!)

I made a baby card using the Viva la Verve sketch and tried Amy's "window" technique on the frame.  So fun and so easy!!  I love inspiration from other stampers, especially when I'm in desperate need for it!  LOL

I used some new Making Memories Je t'adore patterned papers that I picked up at my LSS.  Some twill ribbon, a gem flourish some sewing and embellishments finish off the card.  I LOVE how it turned out!

So......will you answer the dare?  If so, here are some details:

1. Play along with us and link up your new Baby Love creation (posted January 14th or later) to the linky widget on the DAY ONE Diva Dare post before midnight MST on January 29th. One lucky stamper will win a $30.00 gift certificate to the Verve Store. Verve Stamps are not required, but if you've got 'em we would  LOVE to see ‘em!

2. For another chance to win, be sure to give the Divas a little shout-out in the comments section as we share our Baby Love creations. One lucky commenter will win the Verve stamp set of his or her choosing!  Winners will be announced on Monday, January 31st right here on the Verve blog.

So go ahead and show us your Baby Love creations...we DARE you!

Winter Project Parade ~ Day 11

Hi there everyone!  It's Jackie here and before I get to my Triple Play Project Parade post, I just wanted to let all of you in on some more Verve fun.....The new release hop starts today!  The new sets are amazing  and the Diva's have some wonderful samples to show you.  For a list of hoppers, just head on over to Julee's blog.....

I don't know about you, but I am in awe of all of the inspiring projects we've seen from the Diva's so far on this Triple Play Project Parade!  When Jen told us this month's theme was Triple Play, I immediately thought of a trio of gift card holders.  I know I am always looking for fun ways to package up (boring) gift cards and this year I've found my answer!  So let's get to it!

I purchased a few of these Altoid style tins online and they make PERFECT gift card holders!  I prettied them up with some gorgeous Echo Park Wintertime dp and three new release winter sets from Verve, Glad Tidings, Merry Wishes and Vintage Oval Frame.

I stamped the Vintage Oval Frame three times in Dark Chocolate on white cardstock.  Inside each frame I stamped three different sentiments in Not Quite Navy ink.  I then took the smallest snowflake from Glad Tidings, inked it in Dark Chocolate, stamped off once on scrap paper and then stamped it over the sentiment.  I LOVE the way this looks!  I then used my trusty Vintage Oval Frame Die (I heart my dies) and cut out all three frames.  Each tin was covered in coordinating patterns from Echo Park Wintertime.  I love the beautiful blues and browns in this paper.  Lastly I stamped and cut out six of the smallest snowflakes from Glad Tidings and added two to each tin.  A few adhesive rhinestones (which were colored with Copics) finish them off!

Here are all three......

The decorated inside without the gift card........Hey, I'm a last minute shopper!  LOL!

Now, it's your turn!

---- One lucky contestant who plays along with the Triple Play Challenge, will receive the entire January Release AND will be our Guest Diva for the month of January!!! WOOHOO!!!

---- As always, we've hidden a little prize along the parade. A lucky random commenter on one of the official Parade posts (11/17 through 12/7) will receive a $25 Verve gift certificate!!

--- View all the challenge and prize details and submit your Triple Play Challenge projects using the official Project Parade Entry Form and check out all the details of this month's project parade!!!!

August Release Project Parade ~ Day 7

Hi there!  It's Jackie here! I hope you're enjoying this month's Project Parade!  I am (again) totally blown away by the Diva's projects so far!  When I saw the theme for this month's parade, Something Old Something New, the "Old" (hate to call any of my Verve stamps Old) set I immediately knew I wanted to use was the first set I purchased from Verve, Fancy Florals.  I paired it with one of Verve's newest releases, Dream Big!  A match made in heaven!!  LOL!

I recently celebrated my birthday and was treated to a pedicure and lunch by one of my closest friends and was in need of a thank you card!  I started with Sweet Sunday Sketch #83 and reached for the new Cosmo Cricket Togetherness DP and got to work.  I stamped the two different outline flowers from Fancy Florals in Memento Tuxedo Black onto three different patterns.  I cut them out and attached them to the card with foam tape.  Some adhesive pearls finish them off nicely.  The sentiment and leaves are from Dream Big.  The leaves were stamped in Wild Wasabi ink and cut out.  Some machine stitching finishes it off!

Detail shot of the flowers.......

I hope I've inspired you to play along!!!  Here are the details:

1. Play along with us and link up your new SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW creation (posted August 25th or later) to the linky widget on the DAY 1 PARADE POST before midnight on Wednesday, September 15th. One lucky stamper will win a $30.00 gift certificate to the Verve Store.

July Project Parade ~ Day 6

Hi there!  It's Jackie here with another day from the My Hero Project Parade!  Haven't the Diva's done a fabulous job so far?  Oh my....such inspiration!

The project I have to show you today was not made for a hero of mine, but for my husband's cousin Cherie, whose Son-in-law is serving as a marine in Afghanistan.  Let me give you a little back story and it might give you a little insight as to how I came up with my project....I promise not to bore you!

My girls went to stay with their cousin for several days about a week or so ago. (what a glorious quiet and stamping filled time it was for me....but I digress...)  While there, they made cookies for Joe, the Son-in-law, along with some cheerful cards.  Cherie (hubby's cousin) sends him (her Son-in-law) care packages every few weeks while he serves our country in Afghanistan.  My girls have been talking about how fun it was to package up his cookies and include the pictures and cards they'd made for him, so when I sat down to make something for this project parade, I thought I'd make something for Cherie! Clear as mud?  Hope so.....so let's get to it!

I made a 3x3 box with some darling little 3x3 cards that could be tucked into the care packages that Cherie makes for her Son-in-law, Joe!

The new set American Hero was PERFECT for this!  I didn't want to use the traditional Red White and Blue, so I opted for a somewhat masculine color combo using navy, kraft and a little October Afternoon Report Card DP.  The main image sentiments were all cut out with Classic Circle Nestabilities and while still in the die, sponged with some Ranger Distress Ink in Peeled Paint.  They were all layered on a Big Scallop Square Die and all corners were rounded with my favorite tool in the world....the Corner Chomper!

Here are the three different cards I made.  I actually made two of each, but I couldn't fit them all in the picture!  All six easily fit in the box with the envelopes.  I kept the cards pretty flat, the only dimension is on the main image.  I popped it up with foam tape.

And here is the box by it's little ole' self!  There is a great tutorial for this box by our very own Laurie Schmidlin on Splitcoaststampers.  I used some wide twill around the box and finished it off with a button threaded with some twine.  I paper pieced one of the stars from American Hero with the same dp.

So what do you think?  I hope Cherie likes it!

New Release Spotlight - Day 3!

Let's hear it for the red, white, and blue! Today, we're looking at American Hero, a fabulous set for honoring all those who proudly serve the USA, for thanking everyday heroes, and for showing American pride! In true Verve style, you'll find the most meaningful, heartfelt sentiments, along with some patriotic imagery with a touch of delightful Verve whimsy. Let's get started!

From Diva Amber:

This month's releases are RIGHT up my alley, as you can probably see with the set we're peeking today! American Hero makes my heart go THUMP every time I see it! The sentiments are so sweet and meaningful, they bring a tear to my eye when I think of everyone deployed, protecting our country. I know the people out there. They are young, they are brave, they are willing, and they do it all for us. I just want to make a whole bunch of cards with this set and send them to every single soldier out there, but I don't have that kind of time, lol!

I think you're going to love this set because it's not only the PERFECT patriotic set, but it can be used for any hero in your life! I went the traditional route!

I stamped the stars in Cherry Cobbler and Night of Navy ink on Kraft cardstock and then added some Stardust Stickles. The sentiment is also stamped on Kraft and I used some Enchanted Evening ribbon and some random buttons! I love the rustic feel to this card, I wish I had left the Stickles off, but I really love the sparkle too!

From Diva Charmaine:

The American Hero set has such a whimsical feel to it. I just love that it can be used for a cute and fun card as well as something more vintage. As with all Verve sets, it contains wonderful sentiments. This is a great set to round out (and spice up) your collection of patriotic stamps. I used the Old Glory Collection from We R Memory Keepers for my card as well as the Stars Cuttlebug folder.

From Diva Jackie:

Hi there Verve fans! Are you ready for another great release? Just wait until you see these sets in full.....that's all I'm sayin'! I was thrilled to work with the new American Hero today! This set makes me proud to be an American!!! I can honestly say I will never need another Patriotic set in my stamping arsenal as American Hero covers it all! It's chock full of the most wonderful sentiments and some pretty fabulous images! I chose to work with just one sentiment for my card today, and believe me it was hard to choose! I finally settled on "Thanks For Protecting Our Freedom" I went the traditional red, white and blue route, with a pair of my old denim jeans acting as the blue. I used Star Nestabilities to cut the denim star, added some ruffled red and white gingham ribbon and a blue button. I used the Corner Chomper to round all the corners (a new favorite look of mine) and added some cross-hatch stitching and adhesive gems to finish it off!

From Diva Amy:

I am both honored and proud to show you a peek at American Hero. This set's fabulous mix of powerful sentiments and patriotic imagery had me choked up when I first saw it! Look no further for heartfelt ways to express both your gratitude and your American pride. And check out the super cool font - love it! I chose to feature the sentiment, "Humbled By Your Willingness To Serve," along with one of the three stars in this set. An assortment of Girls' Paperie On Holiday papers carries out a traditional red, white, and blue color combo in a fresh, fun way.

May Project Parade ~ Day Three

Hey There Verve fans!  It's Jackie here with day three on the Sizzlin' Summer Fun Project Parade!  When I sat down to figure out what to do for my project I couldn't come up with anything!  Stamper's block, I guess!  But just the other day I had a friend ask me to make a graduation card for a teen girl whose school colors were blue and gold.  I was stumped so I sat down and took out the new set Happy Days and knew exactly what to do!!

I about screamed when I saw there was a graduation sentiment in this set!  I pulled out my new FAVORITE dp from October Afternoon, Thrift Shop and found these perfect papers to use!  The "have a happy" is one stamp and I wanted each word to be a different color, so I simply masked the words with scotch tape and stamped them in the colors that I chose to coordinate with the patterned paper, Summer Sunrise (PTI) and Not Quite Navy (SU!).  They were stamped on a piece of patterned paper that I later cut out with Circle Nestabilities.  The large gorgeous flourish was stamped in Not Quite Navy, cut out with paper snips and popped up for some dimension.  I used my favorite technique on the ribbon by ruffling it. The Hibiscus flower is the new Hibiscus Plain Jane and was stamped onto patterned paper.   And lastly, I rounded all of the corners with my Corner Chomper.  I love the soft look it gives the card.  Don't you think this is perfect for a young high school grad?

So, now it's your turn!! As with all of our Project Parades, we’ve got prizes! There are two ways to win:

1. Play along with us and link up your new Sizzlin’ Summer Fun creation (posted May 17 or later) to the linky widget on the Day 1 parade post before midnight on June 7th. One lucky stamper will win a $30.00 gift certificate to the Verve Store. Verve Stamps are not required, but we LOVE to see ‘em!

2. For another chance to win, be sure to give the Divas a little shout-out in the comments section as we parade our Sizzlin’ Summer Fun creations. One lucky commenter during the course of the parade (May 17 ~ June 4) will win the Verve stamp set of their choosing!

March Project Parade ~ Day 4

Hi there! It's Jackie here with some more Fun With Flowers inspiration! Haven't the Diva's made some gorgeous stuff so far? When Jen presented us with this month's Project Parade theme, I was thrilled because I am a HUGE fan of Julee's flower designs as I'm sure you are! I knew it would be a cinch to come up with something creative!

I have always admired people who put together a matching gift bag with the cards they make! I tend to be a bit lazy and just make the card, but that has now changed! This was super fun and so easy to make! Once I had the design for the card, I coordinated the bag to match....that easy!

I used the new Verve set, Feel the Sun and paired it with the new Happy Birthday Plain Jane. I LOVE the font on this new Plain Jane. I also used some new goodies from Papertrey. The cardstock I used is Hawaiian Shores, New Leaf and White, the DP is the new Green Boutique. I paper pieced the flowers and embossed the Labels 10 Nestabilities with the Picnic Plaid Impression Plate (Papertrey). A little machine stitching, ribbon and adhesive gems and I called it done!

This is a close up of the gift bag. I purchased a set of ten of these Kraft gift bags on a recent trip to my local Michael's. They've been sitting here just waiting to be used! I'm sure whoever receives this will love it.....at least I hope so!!

We'd love for you to play along in the Fun With Flowers Project Parade this month! As with all of our Project Parades, we've got prizes! There are two ways to win:

1. Link up your new creation (posted March 22nd or later) to the Mr. Linky widget on this post before Midnight on April 8th. One lucky stamper will win a $25.00 gift certificate to the Verve Store

2. Be sure to leave the Diva's a little shout out in the comments section as we parade our creations using this month's theme. One lucky commenter during the course of the parade (March 22 ~ April 7) will win his/her choice of any Verve stamp set!

Spring Fling: Challenge 3

Hello fellow Verve lovers!!! It's Jackie here! Hasn't the Spring Fling been a blast so far? I am loving the challenges and the sneak peeks we've seen so far! I am here today to issue a COLOR challenge to you! As of late, I have been having a secret love affair with the Basic Grey Origins DP! I love the citrusy colors and used the dp as my inspiration for today's color challenge. Note: You DON'T have to use the Basic Grey Origins for your cards or project, just these colors!! And don't be afraid...these colors look BEEYOUTEEFUL together!

I am SO LUCKY to be joined today by one of my FAVORITE people, the UBER talented
Jodi Collins! We've each got a sample to share with you so let's get to it!

Here is my sample using the new STUNNING Verve set, Feel The Sun. I've said it before and I'll say it again.....NOBODY designs more beautiful flowers than Julee! I've used Amy's sketch for my card, VSMARSF2, and what a fabulous sketch it is!! I love cards with lots of layers! I've used several patterns from my beloved Basic Grey Origins DP and paired it with PTI's Dark Chocolate and White cardstock. The flower was colored with Copics and has three layers. The designer brad was a gift I received from Julee awhile ago....I've been hoarding them for just the right project! The border is a new border punch from SU! and the adhesive gems are KaiserCraft!

Isn't Jodi's sample ADORABLE? She used the Verve set Chocolate Bunnies and paired it with this week's sketch from Splitcoaststampers, SC270. The coloring is fab and I love all the stitching!!

So are you ready to have some more crafty fun? Just make a stamped card, project or scrapbook page using the colors provided and upload a photo to your blog or online gallery. Then click the image above to add your link using the Mr. Linky entry form. Entries are due by 11:59pm on Monday, March 8.

One lucky entry will win a $25 Verve Stamps gift certificate!

Have fun and good luck!

Tags, Tins & Treats ~ Day 15

Hi there! It's Jackie here with the next stop on the Tags, Tins & Treats Project Parade! Haven't the Diva's done a FABULOUS job so far? I'm in awe of all of their beautiful projects!! Now it's my turn so let's get started!

While walking to pick my girls up from school a few weeks ago, I passed a cute little kitchen store window that had these adorable packages filled with bubble gum. I knew in that moment that I had to buy a couple to use for this project parade! They had a tag and a prima wrapped around the top but I simply took them off so I could alter them!

And here's what I came up with! Aren't they cute? I simply wrapped them with a large circle of DP from Papertrey Ink called Simple Valentine. You can see I used a different pattern for each cone. I slipped the bubble gum inside the cone and wrapped the top of the bubble gum bag with some Pure Poppy Stitched Ribbon and finished it off with a bow. Then I went to work on the tag!

I used the new Verve set Heart's Desire for the tag. I stamped the round heart flourish in Pure Poppy on PTI White and cut it out with Classic Circle Nestabilities. It was layered on a Hibiscus Burst scallop circle and then adhered to the bottom portion of the tag with dimensionals. The sentiment tag was cut with the Modern Label punch. The heart is also from Heart's Desire and was layered over the sentiment with dimensionals and topped with a twine tied Pure Poppy button. The bottom portion of the tag was cut with Labels One Nestabilities. Finally, I attached the tag to the bubble gum cone with some twine. I just love the way they turned out!

Now for the important part: We want you to play along with us! Are you ready to show your Tags, Tins & Treats projects? I hope so! Verve stamps are not required, but if you've got 'em why not show 'em some love?

Hello stalkers! It's Amber here, bringing you the fabulous sneak peeks for the most Vervalicious set EVAH! I'm not lying when I say that this is my new favorite Verve stamp set! Love's Flower is filled with wonderful sentiments, fonts, and floral images. It's definately a set you NEED for the upcoming Valentine season!

Brace yourselves for the amazing creations the diva's came up with using Love's Flower!

From Diva Teresa Kline:
Hey gals it is Teresa, aren't you luvin the divas sneak peeks; haven't they been fabulous? I bet you are super excited about tonight, I know I am! For my sneak peek today I used the new Verve sets Love's Flower and Heart's Desire. The background designer paper is from the SEI Winter Song pack, it is so adorable with the red flowers. I adore this color combo, kraft, real red, and white; so clean and crisp. I added lots of texture and patterns to this card. I used the sentiment from the Love's Flower set and then added my chocolate hearts at the bottom for an extra yummy. The chocolate hearts are from the Heart's Desire set, as is the larger heart in the grouping of hearts. I added several extras in the way of stitching, bakers twine, embossing, layers, a sequin, and a gemstone. I hope you can make the party tonight, you wont want to miss it...enjoy!

From Diva Jackie Pedro:
Happy Friday my fellow Verve lovers! Haven't the Diva's sneak peeks been fantastic? I am super excited about today's set, Love's Flower, because the quote that I used on this card today was submitted by Little Ol' Me!! Love's Flower is a very versatile set, a perfect everyday set to show someone how much they mean to you! And I have to touch on the flowers...they are anything but ordinary! The flowers Julee creates for her sets are so unique and these flowers are no exception! With that said, I wanted to show you how you don't have to make your flowers ordinary everyday flowers! Have fun and use non-traditional colors like I did here! Have you ever seen a brown and green flower? LOL! I paper pieced my flowers to coordinate with the rest of my card using patterned paper from Papertrey. These colors are so soothing together! And of course I had to add some stitching! I know you're going to love this set!

From Guest Diva Rosie Hughes:
Wow, I can not believe what an amazing week this has been. I've had sooo much fun using these new stamps. I can't believe, here I am, showing you sneak peaks! I am greatfully thankful to Julee for giving me this chance. I am so honored, so thrilled, so....in love with these new stamps! My favorite....the lovely flower that can be so nicely layered and decorated to your taste. I stamped a few of them, cut them out and layered them with tulle in between two layers. I used distressed ink around the edges. The word love was lightly stamped on cardstock, then I crumpled the paper and tore the edges. The lace, rhinestones and ribbon added great touches. This set was just BEAUTIFUL! Awesome sets! Thanks again Julee and Verve Divas, for letting me part of your team.
From Diva Amber Hight:
I think I've already spoken to my great love for this set:) I can see so many fun uses for it! I thought it would be fun to use with this fun wooden "LOVE" thingy I've had for a few months! I don't do alot of altered art, but this idea hit me almost at the same time I saw the sets when Julee showed them to us for the first time! I am so thrilled when my ideas come to life like I envisioned:)
I finally cut into my Razzleberry Lemonade paper (I've been hoarding it, you know) and mod podged it to the wooden frame!
I randomly stamped some of the floral elements all over the frame in Pitch Black ink by Adirondack. I also used my Scalloped Edge punch by US! on some Lavender Moona nd Lemon Tart cardstock! I picked a couple of my favorite photos of DH and I and glued them to the back of the frame. The sentiment (which I LOVE!) was stamped and then cut out using a fun tag die by Spellbinders!
Here are a couple more shots of the stamped elements...

Blog PaRtY: Thankful Hearts Reveal

It's time for another set reveal! Thankful Hearts has 10 small sentiments with a thankful theme, all designed at about 1 1/8" wide, so they'll work perfectly with all sorts of punches and dies. I just love how easy it is to make quick little thank you cards with these sentiments!

{Note: You can give the image to the right a little clicksy to embiggen it and preview the whole set in all its glory.}

Hi everyone! It's Jackie here! Don't you think this blog party is a blast? I hope you've all recovered from your Thanksgiving feasts and are geared up for another fantastic Verve release! I'm thrilled, and oh so thankful, to be sharing a peek of the new set Thankful Hearts! Verve is known for fantastic sentiments and this set will definitely not dissapoint! It is chock full of different "Thankful" sentiments such as "Merci Beaucoup" and the sentiment I used today, "You Touched My Heart." This will definitely be a "go to" set for me! For my card I used this fun pink polka dot dp from October Afternoon and paired it with Kraft and Vintage Cream cardstock. I also decided to throw in a little So Saffron for a little punch of color. The sentiment was cut out with Heart Nestabilities and while the cardstock was still in the die, I sponged on some So Saffron ink with a sponge. The Vintage Cream panel and the Kraft strip across the front were both embossed with embossing folders (Swirl and Swiss Dot) using a Cuttlebug. Some beautiful satin ribbon and buttons and the card was complete!

Here is a peek using one of the newest Verve sets to be released, Thankful Hearts. It is no secret that I ADORE all of the sentiments that Julee creates for her sets. As a matter of fact, I know a lof of you feel the same way! They are always perfect and say exactly what I need to say. The fonts are always just gorgeous as well! I particularly LOVE the fonts Julee used in this set. They actually remind me of Julee's own handwriting. I would LOVE to have handwriting like her, but this set is the next best thing. . .well, other than having Julee make the card herself! :) I know you are going to love all of the sentiments in this set too!

Okay, are you ready for another giveaway? Just leave a comment on this post to be entered in a random drawing for a Thankful Hearts Prize Pack! The pack will include the Thankful Hearts set, {which we've revealed in this post}, as well as some luscious ribbons, papers and embellishments! Deadline to enter is Monday, 11/30 at midnight Mountain time.
