Minnie Mouse Cake

I made this cake just for fun and practice this morning. I bought this Mickey Mouse edible image more than 2 weeks ago thought it would be time to use it before it turns bad. Furthermore, Pearl would like to have princesses cake instead of Minnie Mouse for her birthday next month, she also requested her birthday cake to be in purple, she love purple colour because her nick name is "Pearl Pearl" sounds like purple, that's why *_* !!

For a long time I haven't been cooking proper lunch on Saturday, since Clet has gone outstation, we will have to stay home probably till he comes back then we can go for BIL's birthday dinner tonite. I boiled a pot of peanuts with pork soup (peanuts soup is said to be good to boost the height of growing children, it would be good for Pearl, I want her to grow taller, :D), so we had our lunch with some fried fish and salted egg. Both of them also crazy over salted egg, they can eat the salted egg like normal chicken egg, *@*. They asked for more in their next meal, hmmm....

Stay at home Saturday

Many of you might have taken the opportunities to go holiday, a long distance drive to outstation or even hang out at the shopping malls with the children to mark the beginning of the long year end school holidays starting today till next year, 4th January.

But for me, I am longing to stay in the coziness of our little messy home with my 2 little princesses while Clet is outstation in Sarawak for the launching of eXfuze. Though our girls love going out so much they do like being at home at times. First thing in the morning, Pearl told me that she doesn't want to go to school just like to stay at home. Crystal has no objection.

Like usual they will find ideas in keeping themselves occupy, one of which was to find ice from the fridge to rub on the barbie mermaid's hair and body to discover the change of colours on them, so much of watching mermaid on Youtube that they wanted to bathe the barbie mermaid in water, I gave them a small basin and later Crystal complained it's too small for their barbie mermaids to swim, they have got 3 mermaids altogether, she needed the baby bath tub . They got themselves all wet, and finished the game off with bathe and shower with the barbie dolls .

Unable to post any photos here because I am having difficulties in getting my photos uploaded from my handphone. Clet has brought the camera along with him to outstation all the time that I find myself lacking in blogging without photos.

Saturday Meal at Sugar Bun

After the sunset mass last night, we were driving around wondering what to have for dinner. When driving along Jalan Pantai, we decided to try the chicken at Sugar Bun, I was told that the chicken taste better and healthier than KFC. Is an open air outlet, we sat down on a table started to pick our meal. After I have placed my order, I noticed that I had not ordered any chicken to what we originally came there for. What I ordered was a set meal for 2 persons, and a bowl of beef ball meehoon soup and french fries for Crystal.:(

We were having hard time to organise our food on the table when the food came. The table is too small even for a set meal, we kept arranging our plates and drinks for the whole of our dinner time.

Overall, we enjoyed the night in an relaxing open air environment with the live band, we will have to think twice for the food we are going to order if we were to have our meals there, not going to keep arranging the plates, glasses and everything else again.
Iced milk tea
Once tasted the milk tea, our girls love it
this chicken mushrooms claypot soup is not bad

plain tauke

deep fried fish, pickles and sauces

french fries, and deep fried potatoes (half had been eaten)

beef ball meehoon soup
relaxing at another table nearby belongs to other outlet after dinner

there were a lot of westerner around enjoying their drinks, the environment and the live band

live band started at 9pm

1/2 Price Dim Sum

After having our meehoon soup as breakfast this morning, we headed to the city centre to get few things done. Clet managed to take some photos of an apartment unit at Marina Resort Apartment which is to be auctioned this month and I supposed to go pay for my car instalment but the cheque deposit machine is out of order, what a lousy service this bank have knowing that the beginning of the month there would be plenty of customers who tend to use the machine for easy payment or depositing, the bank should ensure its one and only cheque deposit machine is up and running at all time, which bank? One of the bank in Api-Api Centre loh!

At about 10.30am, Crystal said she wanted to eat siu mai, this girl did not eat much meehoon soup in the morning that's why she felt hungry well before lunch time, since we are still around the city and the usual place that we had dim sum is quite a distance, in order not to waste petrol, we thought of take away siu mai for her at Four Seasons Steamboat Restaurant at Asia City. Clet went in to order the take away while we waited in the car. He headed back to the car no long after and told us that there is a 50% discount for eat in customer, and no discount for take way. That is not a bad deal, isn't it? So we decided to eat in. I thought all are 50% off but paying the bill than we realised it's only applicable to food not drinks, I would have ordered air suam only if I had known earlier. We ended up paying RM40.70 for our early dim sum lunch on Saturday.

Dim sum that we ordered

took a photo while eating half way through

Disappointed with this mushroom fritters, can't see any mushrooms hard as rock as well.

We had two sets of siu mai, the girls' favourite, that's what we ended here for..

I chose this for its vegetable, at least some vege rather than meaty all the way

One missing, it's with pearl already, she had 1.5 of this char siu pau

She hold the pau too tight that it felt off from her hand

This chicken feet is Crystal's favourite.
See, what I meant, bone only left. She had the whole serving by herself
We clean swept what we ordered on our table, no wastage.
After a meaty dim sum lunch, we walked around Asia City Complex and came to this miniture shop. All about movie characters. Be honest, I do not know most of them except superman, spiderman, and that's all.. all boy's stuff even Crystal feels the same.
second look, yes confirm, i only recognise Superman :-)
