ATC Calendar Tray with SRM Stickers

Hello friends!!  Do any of you ever buy something and then look at it and wonder what you are going to do with it?  Of course you don't.....well, I do and that is what happened when I bought this ATC Tray and didn't quite know how I wanted to use it.  I knew that I wanted something amazing to go into it, but I just didn't know what.

I had an assignment to make a calendar project for SRM Stickers and found that the 2016 Decorative Mini Calendar Stickers and cut with the new matching Wafer Thin Die fit in there perfectly.  Take a look.....

To be able to re-use this calendar again next year (with the 2017 stickers, of course), I used some mini clothes pins and covered them with different black and white washi tapes.  I then just used some hot glue to glue these onto the background paper.

I used the Times and Seasons papers from Echo Park for the background papers inside the tray.

At the top of the ATC Tray, I used a sticker from the 2016 Year of Memories Stickers on some vanilla colored cardstock, added some brads to the ends and glued it with a glue dot to the top of the frame.  To use it again next year, I will just have to peel this off and put on a new one...shouldn't be too hard.

To finish off my project, I added some black and white ribbons to the top handle.

So, what do you think of my new re-purposed ATC Tray?  I think that it would be a great gift idea.

This was posted over on the SRM Stickers blog today and I would love it if you would leave a comment on the blog post over there, too.

Hugs,
Amy

Make Life Beautiful Wall Decor

Hello friends!!  I know, I know.....it has been a while since I have posted and I feel really bad for neglecting my blog for so long, but I think that I just needed to take a much needed break from the digital world and even a bit of a break from scrapping.

I really want to get back into the swing of things and so, lets get started today with this lovely wall hanging that I created for The Twinery blog last week....

I started on this project by picking up this frame at a local 2nd hand store.  I altered it by painting, distressing, stamping, adding some Tattered Angels ink mists, and then adding a clear coat to it.  I added some lined paper to the inside of the frame, and then adhered the Make Life Beautiful, that I cut out with vinyl on my Silhouette, to the outside of the glass along with the crocheted flowers that I created with the lovely solid bakers twine from The Twinery

These flowers and leaves are crocheted up with these fabulous bakers twine colors....Solid Caribbean, Solid Strawberry, Solid Honeydew, and Solid Marigold.  I just sat down on the couch one evening with my bakers twine and a crochet hook and whipped up these fun little flowers. I don’t have a pattern, I just started with a magic ring and the Solid Marigold bakers twine and I crocheted 10 single crochets in the smaller flowers and 12 single crochets on the larger one.  From there, I just played around and came up with these flowers.  I added some little white pearl halves, too.

What do you think??  I really love the way it turned out and I am thinking that I will display it in my craft room....because isn't that what we really are doing is making life beautiful with each project that we create??

I am really hoping to get back into crafting and blogging over the next few weeks.  We are just wrapping up our homeschool year and we found out just a little bit ago that our landlords are going to be selling the house we moved into last year, so we will be moving again.  :(  Hopefully we can find a more permanent home and I can finally set up my craft room and have it stay put up. ::sigh::  I am just glad that summer is here and can't wait to go on a few new adventures with my family.

Hugs,
Amy

Peachy Keen Stamps and Miss Kate Cuttables Holiday Blog Hop {Day 2}

Hello and welcome to my stop on the Peachy Keen Stamps and Miss Kate Cuttables Holiday Blog Hop {Day 2}.

Today I am sharing a project that I created with the fabulous die cuts from Miss Kate Cuttables, combined with the awesome face stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps.  If you would like to join us on this super fun hop, click on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps blog for the details and to get started.
I decorated this tin with the Jolly Holiday SVG, that I cut on my Sillhouette, from Miss Kate Cuttables and combined it with the Everyday Character Face Parts from Peachy Keen Stamps.

I covered my tin with some embossed cardstock that I embossed with the Winter Flurry embossing folder from Taylored Expressions and what I have left of some Christmas papers from Imagenisce.  Here is a closer look at my cutie patootie reindeer.....

I inked him up with some Colorbox fluid chalk and then stamped his face and added some pink chalk to the cheeks and white pen details for his eyes and cheeks.  Isn't he the cutest??  I don't know whether to fill him with cookies and give him away, or keep him for myself.  To finish off my tin I added some light green twill ribbon and added a button and Solid Natural bakers twine from The Twinery.

Now, what fun is a blog hop without a FABULOUS prize??

The Peachy Keen Stamps prize for one lucky blog hopper is a $25.00 Gift Certificate for each day of comments and then at the end of our event, ONE lucky blog hopper will win a $75.00 Gift Certificate from all the comments for the week.

How does that sound??  Well, you better leave a comment here and then hop on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps blog to leave a comment and also to find out where you can go to leave more comments for more chances to win.

Candy Corn Cones for Halloween with The Twinery

Hey friends!!  Today I get to share a new project over on The Twinery blog for the current challenge.  This week we are challenging you to use bakers twine and create something with a Halloween theme.  CLICK HERE for all the details and to get linked up.

Nothing reminds me more of Halloween than Candy Corn and today I am going to share a fun decorative project with you that uses foam cones, some clear drying tacky glue, and some yummy bakers twine from The Twinery.

For my project, I used some Aleene's Original Tacky Glue, 6 inch foam cones, and the Solid Natural bakers twine, Solid Mandarin bakers twine, and Solid Marigold bakers twine.

Starting at the top of the cone with the Solid Natural bakers twine, wind a spiral at the middle of the top of the cone and continue out and then down the cone about 1 1/4 inches.  Switch over to the Solid Mandarin bakers twine and continue to wrap down to about 2 inches up from the bottom (about 3 inches of the Solid Mandarin bakers twine).

Wrap the rest of the cone in the Solid Marigold bakers twine.  When making this project, you will want to start at the top because as you wind it, it will pull a little bit tight on the cone and when it does, it has a tendency to slide to the smaller area, but if you have the twine you already wrapped in the smaller area, it will just roll against that (I am speaking from experience here).

Now I need to find a place on my fireplace mantle for these cuties.  Hop on over and join us for this fun Halloween themed challenge.....click on the picture below to get linked up!!

Flower Topiary and a GIVEAWAY!!

Hey friends!!  Today is 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time and I have a fabulous project to share with you today along with a GIVEAWAY!!  Ever since Emma created the Rolled Flower Dies, I have been wanting to do a project just like this.  Check it out......

I had this old decorative flower pot that I thought of tossing, but it ended up making the move to our new home a few months ago.  I altered it a little bit by spray painting the base with a light coat of cream spray paint (it was a mossy green before).

I then rolled lots of flowers out of paper from Echo Park called Life Is Good with the Rolled Flower Dies and glued them onto this 6 inch foam ball and added a few pearl pins into the center of several of the flowers.  I then pushed the ball of flowers onto a stick that I had wrapped some green ribbon around and then finished it off with a bow and button.  Here is a closer look at the flowers.  Wouldn't this make a fab Mother's Day Present??

Alright!!  Who is ready for a giveaway?!?  I have three sets of Echo Park 6x6 papers to give away along with three spools of the new glimmer twine from The Twinery.

How to enter:
  • Leave a comment below with a guess as to how many rolled flowers I have glued onto this topiary.  I will randomly draw 3 winners from all comments.  If you are randomly drawn and have correctly guessed how many flowers there are, I will send you an extra spool of the glimmer twine.
Extra entries:
  • Follow my blog via Google Friend Connect, Google Reader, Network Blogs, or via Feedburner and leave a comment letting me know that you are a follower via one of the above (sign up on the right toolbar).
  • Like Scrapping Mommy on Facebook and leave a comment on my page and come back here and let me know that you did for another entry.
  • Follow me via Pinterest and pin an image of my project above onto one of your boards and then leave a comment with a link to your pin for another entry.
  • Share this post on Facebook, twitter, or on your blog and leave a comment below with a link below where you shared for another entry.
So, you have 5 possible entries into this giveaway.  So fun!! I will leave the giveaway open until the evening of May 19th and draw a winner via random.org.  I can't wait to see your guesses. Good Luck!!

Don't forget to hop on over to the My Creative Time blog when you are done to check out what fab creations my fellow design team members have to share.

ETA: I am adding this to the Moxie Fab World Cards and Gifts Week : The Gift Challenge

****WINNERS CHOSEN AND POSTED HERE****

There are a total of 217 flowers on this topiary.  I used almost 14 sheets of 12x12 cardstock to make this project.

Altered Notebook with Peachy Keen Stamps

Hi everyone!!  Today I have a sweet little notebook that I altered for this weeks Peachy Keen Stamps challenge.  We have a photo challenge up this week.....I am loving the colors with it.......I used some of the new April SOTM stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps to decorate this sweet little book.
I colored the flower images with my Copic markers and also created some grass.  I added a little white pen detail to the flowers.  Here is a closer look......
This sweet little book, that measures 4 1/2 x 3 1/4, fits perfectly into my purse......it is going to be great to take down some notes when I need to rather than trying to find a piece of scrap paper or the back of a receipt like I usually do.  My hubby likes it so much, he has asked me to alter a little notebook for him so he will be able to take notes, too......decorated more masculine, of course.  ;)

Hop on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps challenge blog and join us for this fun challenge.

Amy

Peachy Keen Stamps Fond Farewell Blog Hop

Today is the Fond Farewell Blog Hop with the Peachy Keen Stamps design team for 2012.  Thanks so much for joining us and hoping with us today!!   If you are coming from Amanda's blog, you are in the right place.  If you just happened to come upon this post and would like to join us for this farewell hop, head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps blog to start at the beginning and for all the details.

It is so sad to see this term come to an end....I have had so much fun creating with all the beautiful stamps that Kathy has created this last year.  I am truly going to miss the wonderful talented DT that I have had the opportunity to design with this last year.  Each and everyone of them are so special and caring....I couldn't ask for a better DT to be a part of.  I am excited to see the new team and also to see what new stamps are coming in the new year.

Today, we are going to be sharing our favorite projects from this past year.  Here are three of mine.......
This first one is one of the first projects I created as a member of the Peachy Keen Stamps design team.  I used the January 2012 KOTM along with the XOXO Background stamp.  This pretty little angel is colored with my Copic markers and I used my Cricut to cut the heart.  I added some yummy bakers twine from The Twinery.  You can see the original post HERE.

This second one is a BOO wooden plaque that I altered with the Happy Haunting Ghosts and the Spider Web sets from Peachy Keen Stamps.  You can find the original post HERE.

This final card I created last month with the November 2012 KOTMI colored this cute little elf with my Copic markers and added some white pen details.  You can find the original post HERE.

If you want a peek at all of my Peachy Creations, you can CLICK HERE to browse though them all.

For the blog hop, we get to give away our favorite stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.  It is sooooo hard to pick a favorite, but I think that my favorite will have to be The Cornies face assortment.......
You can enter to win this set by leaving a comment below....be sure to leave you contact information so that I can contact you if you are the winner and then come back to see if you are on Monday when I will announce the winner via random.org.

Now, it is time to hop on over to Cristina's blog.  Here is the full blog hop list in case you get lost along the way......

Have fun and good luck!!

Decorated Frame with Jinger Adam's Collection

Hi everyone!!  Today to share another fun project on Jinger Adam's blog that uses one of her new collection sets.  This frame is decorated with her Gypsy Queen papers and embellishments.  I really love how well they all pull together.

These papers are so pretty!!  I really LOVE the rich colors she used for them.  To cover my frame with the patterned paper, I measured this 12 x 12 frame and cut the papers so that they are slightly smaller than the frame and a little bigger at the opening for the picture.  I added some of the fun red fringe and then made a flower with this beautiful lace.  I added a punched piece from the paper line and then finished the lace flower off with a button.

Under the picture area, I added this fun little die cut banner tag that is in with the Gypsy Queen paper pack.

I can't wait to store a beautiful picture in here.  I hope you have enjoyed my project today and I would love it if you would pop on over to Jinger's blog and leave a comment there for me, too.  Don't forget to check out what the other designers have been up to.

Here is a quick look at the papers in this beautiful Gypsy Queen paper pack:

A Halloween BOO! with Peachy Keen Stamps

Hey Friends!!  Today on the Peachy Keen Stamps blog I to share a cute Halloween project with you.  Did you enjoy the latest release this week on the blog??  I know I am full of inspiring ideas for the upcoming fall/Halloween season, so much so that I created this super fun plaque with the newest Happy Haunting Ghosts and Spider and Web sets from Peachy Keen Stamps......

I found this wooden plaque (it measures approx 9 1/2 inches by 6 3/4 inches) at one of the big craft stores and painted it black, the covered it with some green diamond paper with Mod Podge.  I cut out the BOO! on my Cricut three different times.....twice with chipboard and then once with the black cardstock.  Before adhering them all together, I stamped and embossed it in clear with the spider web stamp from the Spider Web set.  I then adhered these layers together and set it aside to dry.

I then stamped these three darling ghosts and their faces onto white cardstock and then cut them out.  I placed them where I wanted them onto my BOO! and then adhered it all down to the plaque.  I added some matching green ribbon to the plaque with a staple gun and then tied some little black bows where the ribbon meets the plaque.

There is a great sale going on with the new release sets this week.....you can check out all the details on the Peachy Keen Stamps website.  Thanks for stopping by!!

Amy

Scrapping The Little Things with My Creative Time - Smash Album

Hello and welcome back!!  I can't believe that it is already the first week of September.....where did the summer go??  I know that I didn't get near as many things accomplished this summer as I was wanting to, hopefully I can get some of them done in the coming weeks before it gets too cold outside.

Today is the first day of another new segment at My Creative Time.  Emma has put out a wonderful stamp set that goes PERFECTLY with Smash albums as well as Project Life.  She also has some other great sets that work well with these, too.  I have to admit that I picked up a couple of smash albums a year or so ago and haven't used them yet, but because of this fun new segment with My Creative Time called Scrapping the Little Things, I had to pull it out and give it a try, so here you go.....my very first pages in my smash album:

I had soooo much fun pulling this all together.  I used some scraps and a few other little items that I just had lying around for this album.  I also used the Just Simply Live and All Around Everything Accessories stamp sets from the My Creative Time Shop.  Check out these close ups:

I had fun misting with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and adding some fun Washi Tape and rub-ons that I just has lying around.  I also tied a little bit of Orchid bakers twine from The Twinery onto the paper clips.  I can't wait to get in and create some more pages......I think I am HOOKED!!

These pages show some shots of my scrapping space.......I have some larger ones that I will share with you later this week.  I really ♥ my craft room!!  Now, hop on over to the My Creative Time blog to see what other design team members have created, too.

Amy

Today is the last day and I am the very last stop.  If this is your first stopy toda, hop on back to the My Little Shoebox blog to get started and to check out all the details.  I really LOVE the My Little Shoebox papers that I received, I decided that I wanted to make a mini CD album with the Happy Go Lucky collection.

Here is the front cover:
I used the Pink Sorbet bakers twine from The Twinery on each page.....can you spot all the places I used it??  I was also able to use some of the fun Summer Sticker Sentiments from SRM Stickers throughout the album.
All of the rolled paper flowers you see in this album are from the 3D Roll-up Flower sheet in the Happy Go Lucky collection.
I left room in each area for pictures and a little journaling.  I thought this would be fun to give as a gift to a friend or even to put some of our fun summer pictures this year inside of it.
Here is the back cover.  I used The Cinch from We R Memory Keepers to bind these CD's together.  If you would like to see a mini tutorial on how I cover my CD's to make mini albums, CLICK HERE.
