MEXIA, Texas (AP) - In the headline for a Nov. 3 story about the death of Adren Maurice Turner, 44, of Teague, Texas, The Associated Press erroneously reported he died from a Taser after a traffic stop. As explained in the story, police used a Taser to stun Turner when he struggled with them. He was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead. The cause of death has not been determined and an autopsy is pending.

CHICAGO (AP) - In the headline of an Oct. 19 story about a fatality during an arrest, The Associated Press referred to a Chicago police review board investigation into a "taser death." As noted in the story, an initial autopsy did not find a cause of death of a man who died after being stunned with a Taser.
