Painted this one at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park today. Another hot one. Got eaten up with turkey mites also. If you've never had them, good on you. Hope you never do. It's like a combination chigger and no-see-um on steroids. UGH!

Crocus Creek in August

I started this one on location back in August and it has been staring at me ever since. I threw some paint at it over the last couple of days and have come to the conclusion that this is all I'm going to get out of it.

Slough Re-Do

Here's an updated version of the Slough with Trees painting that you can see a couple of posts back. I took the chainsaw out and got rid of the light valued tree. I like it much better now. Let me know what you think.

This was a quick commission I did for the owner of this cabin. Had a week to get something good down on the canvas. Worked on site for a few hours and finished up in the studio.

Dusting

Here's another snow painting from the southeastern part of Cumberland County, Kentucky, very close to Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park. The road that travels through this small valley is Davidson Road. Did this one from a photograph I took recently.

The Oceanaire

Here's a painting I finished tonight. It shows a building in Denver called The Oceanaire. I really liked the looks of the building along with the ability to bring prospective into play with this one.

Berkley Street Morning

Here's one I did from Street View. Well, I used a couple of buildings and trees and then changed the seasons, and time of day. Actually unless you look really hard you can't see any resemblance. I curved the road to add interest, left out the vehicles and telephone poles, and added a hint of a building toward the end of the road to draw the eye just a bit.

Don't know if it works. But I've got to tell you, I had a blast painting this one. I'm including the ref so you can see how far I strayed.
