Day 13 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

If you follow me elsewhere (facebook, instagram, twitter...) you might know that I am learning French through Duolingo, and they often throw strange sentences at me to translate, which often lead to me drawing something silly. Day 13 found me translating this....

Day 12 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

On Day 12 I spent my last evening working a farmers' market for the summer. Iced coffee was my special treat to myself for working them, and this little bunny celebrates my love for them. ^.^

Day 10 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Day 8 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Day 7 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

On Day 7 we returned to church after a summer away to take part in the annual Ingathering Water Ceremony in which people in the congregation bring a small bit of water from (or to symbolize) a place visited over the summer. I kind of envisioned us all as water drops, coming from all over, with all our different experiences and beliefs, flowing into and through the Unitarian Universalist community, and back out into the world spreading the principles...

Day 5 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Day 5 was not the best. People were pretty stressed & crabby all the way around. My solution? A rainbow glittery rock!

I've decided to take part in Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days challenge and since today is going to be a busy day for us, I got started bright & early this morning with a quick little bunny...

Comet Mermaid

A few weeks ago, a customer asked me to recreate a mermaid on a rock that had already sold; I told her I'd certainly be happy to try!  Of course, finding a rock was probably the hardest part, as the lake shore is quite icy & snowy at the moment, but thankfully I have lots of rocks here at home!  XD

The recreation is more detailed, but she has such a sweet face!  What do you think?

Fairy Day

Today is Fairy Day!

We're still unpacking and settling back into our usual routines here, after a week away from home at an unschooling camping-conference in the Catskills (*bliss*); so we won't be doing anything special, but I thought I'd share a bit of Faerie Gardens' magic with you all...

Illustration Friday: Highlight

This may be interpreted incorrectly by me, but I choose believe this is what was intended...

The Illustration Friday topic for last Friday was "Highlight" and thusly, I've chosen a few of my illustrations that were my highlights for 2011...

Gaia Me

Sea Turtles bookmark

Soaked in Her Love

Nyan Girl

Unicorn Side-view

Jenn & Sarah

Friends

I'm working on another kawaii girl right now that I had so hoped to finish by the end of December, but the coloring keeps crashing my program, so it's taking so much longer...

What were your creative highlights from 2011?
