Playing Around in my Flower Patch ~ Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our final Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop!  I'm a little sad to see this hop come to an end, but our amazingly talented group of stampers are not parting ways :-)  You can find us over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration where we have a post for you EVERY weekday.  From fun card and scrapbook sketches, to color challenges and awesome tutorials, we have a blog full of talented stampers!  Be sure to check us out if you haven't done so already!
Before we close up this hop, we are all here to share our creations with NEW Catalog Items!  Be sure to hop all the way through so you don't miss out on anything!

If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

I could not WAIT to order the new Photopolymer Flower Patch Stamp Set!  I'm not a huge flower fan, but this set is just so much fun.  And the fact that there are matching framelits makes it that much better!
I found these cute little vases a while back at a local craft store and they have been sitting, empty in my living room.  My son Aidan has been bugging me for WEEKS to make some flowers to put in them and was so happy to "FINALLY" {as he told me yesterday} see them filled!
These flowers were made by stamping the images on Filter Paper and placing them on floral wire.  I stamped each image 4 times to create a fuller flower.  I wasn't sure how well they would turn out, but I was pretty happy with the end result.  I'm embarrassed to say that this is only the second time I've ever used the Filter Paper, but you can bet I'll be using it more!

The two cards I made are CASE's from page 155 in the new catalog.  I love the color combo and the Kraft paper!

Burlap and Sun ~ Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to May's edition of the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop!  This month we're all getting punchy!  We're here to show off our punches with some fun and fabulous punch art creations.

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number seven on the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop -  If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

I've been wanting to make a new summer-time wreath for my front door and what says summer better than sunflowers?!?  I was really bummed about the Blossom Builder punch being retired, but then I remembered that it was still available in MDS and I could use my e-cutter to cut them out....WOOHOO!!! Wanna know what's even better?  You can make the size of the punch bigger or smaller in MDS to fit your needs.   With a few clicks of my mouse, I had a full sheet of petals and quickly cut them out to create these bright and cheerful sunflowers.
I put the flowers on an easy, and fun to make, burlap wreath (thanks to my BFF, Erica, for bringing me the supplies from the big city craft store...you saved my bacon friend!)  I still feel like this may need a little something else, but haven't quiet figured out what yet.  Feel free to share any suggestions when you leave me some love :-)

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso
Other Supplies ~ MDS Blossom Builder Punch, Silhouette e-cutter, ALL Circle Punches, Basics Glimmer Brads

Now hop on over to Diana's blog and see what she's so punchy about today!

Zoo Baby Birthday ~ Stylin' Stampin' Squad

Good morning and welcome to April's edition of the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop!  This month our hop is FULL of fun children's creations.  From baby shower invites to fun birthday gifts and cards (and soooo much more!), you are sure to smile as you hop along!

A sweet little boy just celebrated his 1st birthday last week and I was so excited to make him a fun card and gift bag for his special day.  Pop-up books and cards were always a favorite of mine when I was little, so I decided to try a pop-up card of my own.  But rather than the pop-up being on the inside, I made it on the outside.

I created a coordinating gift tag to go on the gift bag...

And used one of the awesome bags from the March Paper Pumpkin kit to attach the tag to!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Marina Mist, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Gumball Green, Whisper White, Polka Dot Parade DSP
Ink ~ Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
Stamp Sets ~ Zoo Babies, Four You, ABC-123 Sketched Alphabet & Numbers, March Paper Pumpkin
Other Supplies ~ March Paper Pumpkin Kit, 1" Circle Punch, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Real Red and Marina Mist 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon

Stylin' Stampin' Squad "Blooming" Blog Hop

Thank you so much for joining us for our March Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop!  Temperatures are on the rise and there is just one short week until the official first day of Spring!  We are all so ready to put away our snowflakes and break out the flowers in our craft rooms!  Stampin' Up! has so many options for Spring-time flowers and we are showing you just a few of those today!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 7 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop – Darcy of DJ's Stampin' Place. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

I'm sharing one of my favorite stamp sets with you today...Regarding Dahlias.  The big, beautiful dahlia is gorgeous stamped in any color, but it is downright stunning when embossed and colored!  I created a colorful Spring-time card and a cute little treat box to match.
I embossed the dahlia in white on Whisper White cardstock then used my Aqua Painter to create the pretty shades of pink (Strawberry Slush) and purple (Rich Razzleberry).  Some clear embossed dahlias in the background and a little butterfly makes this a "picture perfect" card :-)
The matching treat box was made using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and Simply Scored.  You can find a great tutorial for the box HERE.  Thank you Heidi for providing great instructions on your blog!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Rich Razzleberry, Strawberry Slush, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Brights DSp
Ink ~ Rich Razzleberry, Strawberry Slush, VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Regarding Dahlias
Other Supplies ~ On Film Framelits, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Brights Buttons, Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Trim, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Clear Embossing Powder, White Embossing Powder, Aqua Painter

Next stop on the hop is Heidi of Stuck on Stampin'...be sure to make the full hop and see all the beautiful blooms!

With a little embossing of the sleeve, a strip of bright and cheery Real Red chevron paper, some Holly Jolly and a HOHOHO snowflake, my box was done in less than 15 minutes!  I already had the cookies made, so I wrapped them up and stuck them inside...thank you gift all ready to go!

But wait! I can't give a gift without a card!  Still having all of my supplies out, I easily put together a fun card to match!

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop ~ Favorite Tools

Thank you so much for joining us for the September Stylin’  Stampin’ Squad Blog Hop! This month we are focusing on the tools of the stampin’ trade. Specifically, each of our favorite stamping tools. It’s amazing the kinds of tools that have been created to help us along in our paper-crafting addictions.  This month’s blog hop will showcase many of the Stampin’ Up! tools that are now available to us in the 2013-2014 Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Holiday Catalog and even a couple of products that are so new they aren’t in either catalog. We hope you enjoy seeing how we use the old and new tools and are inspired to come up with some great projects of your own.
One of my favorite, and frequently used, tools is the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.
Not only do I use this tool to score all of my card bases, but I love to use it to add simple score lines to a card.  It's always amazing how one or two little lines can add so much to a card!  I have an example of one for you today.  I felt like the white portion of this card was a little too boring and flat, but then I added a couple score lines and voila!
I also use the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to create fun little boxes, such as this one:
Having all of the measurements on the top and left hand side of the board makes for easy measuring for the perfect box.  The Simply Scored Diagonal and Boards Plate are great tools too!  These plates lay right on top of your Simply Scored, using the same measurements...how great is that!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Coastal Cabana, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, Eastern Elegance DSP
Ink ~ Coastal Cabana, Summer Starfruit
Stamp Sets ~ Beautifully Baroque, Express Yourself, Mosaic Madness
Other Supplies ~ Mosaic Punch, Rhinestones, Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Ribbon, Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon, Scallop Circle Punches, Antique Brads, Whisper White Embossing Powder, Little Leaves Sizzlits, Simply Scored Scoring Tool

Don't forget to visit Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration where we love to INKspire you 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year!

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop ~ Holiday Catalog Creations

Good morning and welcome to the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Holiday edition!  If you've just come from Jennifer's blog, I hope you enjoyed her creation as much as I did...she has amazing talent!  And a big congrats to Jennifer on making Founder's Circle this year! Way to go friend!!!

I held off on ordering many things from the holiday catalog, so I was a bit limited with what I could do this month, but I hope you like what I came up with.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Real Red, Eastern Elegance, Silver Foil Sheets
Ink ~ VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Festive Flurry
Other Supplies ~ Expression Thinlits, Festive Flurry Framelits, Circle Card Thinlits Die, Frosted Finishes Embellishments, Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, Northern Flurry Embossing Folder, Whisper White Bakers Twin, Silver Embossing Powder, Red Sharpie

This is definitely not a mailable card, but it makes for a cute decoration.  I cut the circle out of the middle of the card and attached the snowflake using the Baker's Twine.  I wish I would have used fishing line to attach the snowflake to give it more of a floating look, but after fighting to get it just right with the Bakers's Twine, I wasn't about to take it all apart :-) The snowflake in the center is 3-D...3 snowflakes cut out, folded in half and glued together.  (I was having flashbacks of creating the ornament from last year's Holiday Catalog!)  I layered the two smallest snowflakes and added the Frosted Finishes embellishments in the center.  Even though I don't have any of the Winter Frost DSP yet, I made things work with the Eastern Elegance DSP.  And the new foil paper....LOVE IT!  I love how pretty it looks embossed and layering it behind the Real Red "Merry" was just what the card needed.

Now head on over to Diana's page and see what she has in store for us this month!
http://stampinfunwithdiana.blogspot.com/2013/08/stylin-stampn-squad-august-blog-hop.html

After you're done hopping along with all of us, be sure to head over to Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration to meet the new Design Team!  We are all ready to inspire you to CREATE!

Happy Stamping!

Celebratin' a Birthday Bash with the Stylin' Stampin' Squad

Hello and welcome to July's edition of Stylin' Stampin' Squad!  Hope you are ready to hop along and CELEBRATE with us! If you've just come from Jennifer's
page, wasn't her project great?!?!?
In case you haven't heard, Stampin' Up! is celebrating 25 years this year and we wanted to celebrate with them! We all have some great creations for you this month, so sit back and enjoy the hop!
Not only is Stampin' Up! celebrating this month, but my son will also be celebrating his 2nd birthday...where does time go?  He loves trucks and tractors, so when MDS released the Birthday Under Construction download, I knew just what I wanted to do for his birthday invites this year.
MDS Download:
Birthday Under Construction

I did a post card style invite with all of the important details on the front and a picture of my sweet boy on the back.  I'm awful about sending actual pictures of my kids to family, so this is a great way to get them out at least once of year.  I am really starting to LOVE MDS!  I had this invite created in about 15 minutes and sent my order off to be printed.  While I love hand stamping invites too, some days quicker is better!

Guess what?!?!  Some of over at Stylin' Stampin' have something fun and exciting coming your way soon!  Be watching my blog for more info...

Thanks for stopping by!  Hop on over to Diana's page next and keep on celebrating!

Stylin' Stampin' Squad June 2013 Blog Hop ~ 2013-2014 Annual Catalog Release Party

Hello stamping friends!  If you are just starting the hop...WELCOME!!!  If you just came from Heidi's blog you were treated yet another one of her great creations!  Our hop is a week later this month to allow us a bit more time to get our NEW CATALOG orders...I hope it was worth the wait for all of you.

Not only is today the day we set aside for the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop, but it is also the last day of school for my boys.  I always like to send special teacher gifts throughout the year, especially at the end of the school year.  They go to Edison, as in Thomas Edison, and are the "Home of the Shockers".  Their school logo is a light bulb, so the cute new Crazy, Mixed-Up Love set made for a perfect thank you card for their teachers.  Have a look!
I found these cute little light bulb jars at an area craft store a few months ago to use for teacher gifts, but I didn't even think to use this stamp set with it. That is, until I saw a super cute card seen here...my light bulb turned on and I ordered this set right away.  Thanks Mindy!

Supplies Used:
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Real Red, Whisper White, I Am Me DSP
Ink ~ Real Red, So Saffron, Basic Gray
Stamp Sets ~ Four You, Crazy Mixed-Up Love

Happy summer to all you teachers out there...thanks for lighting up our childrens life!
