Cut Colour Paste

Midway Inspiration at Path of Positivity.  This month's theme is a mood board which you can see here.

I have used images from Flat Friends, KennyK Stamps and Jellypark Friends.  Coloring is with copic markers.

I die-cut a heart (cut), scribbled a copic (colour) and added some glitter adhesive (paste)

Happy New Year

This week the optional twist remains at Any Christmas or New Year design.  Since this challenge falls on New Year, I have created a New Year's card this time.

I have used a digital paper from Lozzy.  The image is from Flat Friends.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I also added some mesh ribbon, buttons and a pre-made flower embellishment.

Thankful for You at Incy Wincy Designs

This is the third DT post that should have appeared a couple of days ago!

This week our challenge at Incy Wincy Designs has a theme of Thankful for You.    Our sponsors are Limited Runs and Flat Friends.

For my first card, I have used an image from Limited Runs called Happy Flower.

And for my second card, an image from Flat Friends called Bookworm.

Doodle What

Oops - just realised I didn't post this on Monday!  However, there is still plenty of time to add your doodled designs into the challenge at Incy Wincy Designs.  Head on over to the challenge to get some doodling ideas.

Here is what I created using an image from our sponsor Flat Friends.  The image is called Summer Swim.

I also used a pre-printed sentiment, some glitter border stickers which I thought looked like waves!  I added a doodled border on the right and then added pearls over the top.  I also doodled some waves around the image.

Final Challenge at Flat Friends

Unfortunately the challenge blog at Flat Friends is closing at the end of this challenge.  It is a challenge that I have enjoyed and I have enjoyed working with Emma's images.  I'm sad to see it go and had to make sure that I participated in this final challenge (which was a lot more of a challenge for me this time!!!)

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/anything-goes.html

I have used a lovely floral patterned paper from a paper pad.  I matted with olive green cardstock.  The image is from Flat Friends and I embellished it a little with some lavender coloured pearls.  It was so hard to not colour the image!!!  I added a sentiment from Desert Diva which I raised up above the image.  I added some faux stitching around the image and sentiment to tone down some of the "whiteness".

Oh Happy Day

One Layer Card

This one was really a challenge for me!  I've decided that I really have no idea as to how to go about a one layered card.  It took weeks of thinking about how I was going to approach it and I'm still not really happy with the end result.

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Flat Friends - One Layer Card
http://flatfriendschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/challenge-22-1-layer-cards-x.html

http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/saturday-paper-a-la-mode/forum/topics/paper-a-la-mode-may-24-july-19-25-get-well-or-sympathy-cards

I have used a single layer of cardstock with the image from Flat Friends printed on to it.  I coloured with copic markers.  I added a Get Well Soon sentiment with a Zig Marker and some lines with a Distress Marker.  I used a different Distress Marker to add some parallel stitching lines across the corner.

Tissue Time

With the changeable weather we are having at the moment there are a few people around with the sniffles (even though it is meant to be the middle of summer!!).

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Flat Friends - Blue, Green and Pink
http://flatfriendschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/challenge-15-colour-combo-x.html
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Sketch #83
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/pick-of-year.html
Sentimental Sundays - Various past challenges (#149 - Get Well)
http://sentimentalsundays.blogspot.co.nz/2013/12/challenge-187-pick-from-our-favorite.html

Another sketch!  I love working with sketches so even though I can choose any past challenge on Papertake Weekly Challenge I seem to be opting for the sketches.  Great excuse to use these sketches again!!!

I wouldn't normally work with a combination of blue, green and pink so it has been fun working with these colours.  I might go blue and green or blue and pink but not with the third colour.  I'm quite pleased with how that combination has turned out.

I used a background paper from MME and then some offcuts from other cards for the smaller pieces.  I think the pink one may be a digital paper, the green is from Rosies Studio and the blue is the reverse of the main piece.  I added a ribbon from American Crafts.  The image is from Flat Friends and is a bit representative of how I am feeling at the moment - mainly hayfever but still a nuisance!

The Carol Singers

Two lovely ladies singing some lovely Christmas carols....

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland - Carol Singers
http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/10/carol-singers.html
Flat Friends - Photo Inspiration
http://flatfriendschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/challenge-13-photo-inspiration-x.html

I have used a music themed Christmas paper from MME for this card as it matches the image.  The image is from Flat Friends.  I decided on this image after looking at the inspiration photo for the Flat Friends Challenge and noticing the red scarf.   As the background paper is quite striking, I kept the embellishments to a minimum - just adding a few red rhinestones.

http://flatfriendschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/challenge-11-colour-combo-x.html

I have also added a sparkly glitter dome to the card.

http://craftingforallseasons.blogspot.co.nz/2013/07/challenge-56-bingo.html

I have used a background paper with a NZ theme to it - kiwifruit.  The image is from Flat Friends and is just perfect for my daughter - particularly when I coloured her hair auburn!  The sentiment is from Sans Designs.  I tied a bow with my Bow Easy and some narrow satin ribbon and then added a button that came from my Mum's button box.

My BINGO line is Button-Digi Image-Ribbon

Be True to who you are

A card following a sketch:

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Flat Friends - Sketch
http://flatfriendschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/challenge-9-sketch-x.html
Sentimental Sundays - For the Girls
http://sentimentalsundays.blogspot.co.nz/2013/06/challenge-160-for-girls.html

I have used a background paper from MME.  The matting is red cardstock. The image comes from Flat Friends and has been coloured with copic markers.  The sentiment is die-cut with a Nellie's Multi-Frame die and then embellished with small rhinestones.  Now, I thought I knew who the sentiment was from but when I went to double-check to write this post, I can't find it.  So, obviously I was wrong.  I really need to improve my filing system so that I can find the sources of images/sentiments.  If anyone knows whose sentiment this is, please add a comment and I'll update the post.
