 One of my two favourite colours is yellow - the other is orange.  I like sunny happy colours.  When I saw a challenge based on monochromatic yellow, I had to join in - even when it is last minute.

Happy 18th Birthday

I bought a flower maker tool and dies a few years ago.  I had a play with it when I first bought it but hadn't touched since then.  With all the time I have at home at the moment, I got it out and made this flower (which is meant to be a rose).

I have used a digital paper from Trimgym (I'm gradually reducing the number in my stash).  The image is from Morgan's Art World and the sentiment is from Netty's Cards.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I used a light purple paper for the flower but it didn't match the card too well so I sprayed it with Dylusions Ink so that it matched some of the writing on the background paper.  I used stitched circle dies from Memory Box to cut the image and sentiment.

I know it is past Easter now, but the image works for the current challenge at Scribbles Designs - B is for Birds and Bunnies.  Just look at this bunny heading for his easter treat of carrots!

I have used two digital papers (offcut pieces from other cards) to create the background.  The polka dot one is from Meinlana Park and the other one is from Spyder's Corner.  I put some grosgrain ribbon over the joins.  The image is from Limited Runs and the sentiment is from Netty's Cards.   Colouring is with copic markers and the edges have been inked with Distress Ink.  I used some mounting tape to raise up the sentiment.

Spring Has Sprung

Well, Spring has meant to have sprung.  Many of the days lately feel more like winter than spring.  The sun was out for a while this morning so today wasn't as cold as it has been but it definitely doesn't feel like spring weather at the moment.  So I created a spring card to remind myself that it is meant to be spring!

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft that is relatively unpatterned (there are areas of lighter green but once I started covering the paper with the image, sentiment and embellishments it is harder to see that).  The horse image is from QKR Stampede and the sentiment is from Netty's Cards.  I printed out an image from Squigglefly which I fussy cut to use as an embellishment.  Colouring of the images is with copic markers.  I also added some gold rope and gold pearls.  Matting is gold foil cardstock.
