Summer Fun 2006 at the cottage scrapbook Layout

This book is of my nephew is coming together.
In fact, I just scrapbooked his senior picture.
I'm about to print prom and graduation day pictures.

This layout makes me happy because I was able to use SO many old products from my stash and you can't tell.

The swimming stamps-Stampin Up

The sentiment is by-Colorbok (Summer Fun)

There are no die-cut
Border sticker by the sunglasses stamped image-Mrs. Grossman's

Patterned papers by-Crate Papers (shaped background), Provo Craft (wavy blue),  My Mind's Eye (stripes), Queen and Co (polka dots), Unknown (fish paper to the right)

I love the sunglasses stamp. It's on a tab that comes in these ephemera packets and I never use them.
I should find someone to exchange ephemera packs with. I get sick of the same pieces and therefore only use a small portion of them. Anyway, Blah, Blah, Blah.

Distress markers colored on the back of the rubber stamps allow me to get multiple colors on my stamps.

Bubble Chalk Background Shaker Card

A long time ago, I made this background with powdered chalk mixed with regular Dollar Tree bubbles. I blew the bubble mixture onto white cardstock and this was the result.
Fast forward to March 2019 and I decided to finally use it for this shaker card. The beads inside are by Queen and Co. and the sentiment by The Paper Studio.

Birthday Cake. Birthday Time ATC's

I created the background for these ATC's using a Tim Holtz clock stencil. I inked them with a dark purple and then went in and added the blue, yellow, and green, which are all distress inks. The cake stamp by SU was stamped in purple and I added gold Smooches ink to the flame of the candles.

The word "Birthday" is a Maya Road stamp stamped with black Hero Arts ink and the word "Time" is part of a ribbon by Queen and Co. The clock is from a piece of decorative tape that reminds me of athletic tape. I used the Ranger stapler to create the hands of the clock. The purple ribbon was white and I dyed it with either distress ink, SU ink, or Sta-On ink. I didn't have the color purple ribbon so I made my own.

Geotag Balloon ATC

Today I have an ATC (Artist Trading Cards) that I made for a swap at Scrapbook.com. The theme: Balloons. I found this geotag cut with a how air balloon on one of my Cricut cartridges and really liked it. To add to it I decided to stamp a regular balloon stamp inside using a stamp by Stampin Up and charcoal ink by Hero Arts.

I masked off some clouds using a small cloud Marvy punch and Post-It tape. I masked off the sun using a circle punch. The sun rays stamp is unknown but I can tell you that I used two different colors of distress inks to ink the stamp. Then I used Tumbled Glass distress ink and ink blending tool (Ranger) to ink the card except for some yellow ink on the corner of the sun and brown ink for the bottom.

Since this is a Geotag I thought it fitting to pin it to a map. So for bottom I decided to use vellum for my map. I inked up a map background stamp (Stampin Up) with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I proceeded to color the back of the vellum with two Copic markers so it would match the background of the card. I used a Xyron 250 to adhere the vellum to the card. The travel word is ribbon (Queen and Co) that covers the line of the vellum.

Thanks so much for looking.

Swimming Layout

A new layout today uses a kit by Queen and Co but I added a few things to it. The two tags, one with a bikini and the other with swim trunks, were cut with my Cricut and the Life's a Beach cartridge. I set a splash eyelets to each of them. I also added labels of who each kid is by using an alphabet  stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I also added some circle stickers by Sticko/EK Success.

The other side of the layout was basically done with added touches such as the Cricut cut date. I think it is the cartridge Cricut Basic Font and shapes. The circle is stamped with a Close to my Heart stamp with Colorbox pigment ink. Then the center of the circle is a splash eyelet same as the left side. I also added the same Sticko/EK Success circle stickers to the bottom because there was originally these large, bulky rhinestone butterflies that I had to replace with flat stickers. Everything else is by Queen and Co.

Fleck Kids Layout

I have a wild layout to bring to you today. I think it may be a bit too busy but it's done and I'm not redoing it. This layout is another one for my Christmas Card Book{s} that I've been trying to get caught up with. These two years the family didn't send a traditional Christmas card with a photo on the front. Instead they sent a Christmas card with these little photos instead. That's OK with me. I just like to have some photos to put in my book.

The patterned paper in the background is unknown to me however the patterned paper close to the children is by Scenic Route. The red cardstock is by Recollections, washi tape is by Queen and Co and Darice, and the epoxy stickers are by EK Success. The title for this one was die cut with a Quickutz hand tool and dies out of Provo Craft green cardstock. I stamped their ages with Oriental Trading Company alphabet stamps in brown Stampin Up ink.

Deep Red Stamps Bridal Gown

This is one of those cards that I wish would have photographed better then it did. I tried something new to me by applying silver embossing paste onto glitter cardstock. The stencil I used is by Dreamweaver Stencils and it is called Petals Background and the like I said the embossing paste was silver by Dreamweaver Stencils/Stampendous

The stamped image is by Deep Red Stamps and it is called Formal Gown with Floral Corner. You can find it at
and/or

I stamped the gown with Hero Arts black ink and colored it in with Stardust and Dandy powdered chalk mixed with white acrylic paint. Both products are by Stamp N Plus. I didn't use the corner on this card but can see using it in  the future. The last thing I used was ribbon by Queen and Co.

Dreamweaver Stencils Showers

Ever use the expression, "When it rains, it pours"? This does not have to be a bad thing, does it? For the month of April, the Dream Team are featuring "Showers of Showers" as our theme. As usual, we'd love for you to play along. Just link your creation on the Dream It Up! blog for a chance to win the stencil of your choice...bonus chances for incorporating Dreamweaver and/or Stampendous in your design. Here's what I'm showering you with this week...
I used the Petals background stencil because they look more like rain drops to me. I dry embossed the pattern and then inked it with Ranger's distress ink and an ink blending tool. The blue die cut is by Dreamweaver Stencils called the Nesting Dies out of Coredinations cardstock. I die cut the umbrella by Marianne Designs and the word baby by Clearly Besotted out of white cardstock {Recollections} and inked them with green distress ink. To finish up my card the ribbon is by May Arts and the rhinestones by Queen and Co.

Happy Birthday

My card today features a stamp by Marianne Designs and the happy birthday stamp by Stampendous. I colored the little girl in with Copic markers on Cryogen paper that I die cut out with Spellbinders dies. The orange patterned paper is by Creative Memories and the blue cardstock is by Sunborn. The sentiment paper is glossy paper by Ranger Industries that I used alcohol inks on and then stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts black ink. That banner die cut is by Stampin Up. The flowers are by The Paper Studio, Queen and Co and Making Memories. The buttons are by Stampin up and Bo Bunny with the brads by Bo Bunny as well. The embossing folder is by Darice and the twine is by We R Memory Keepers.

Thanks for looking. I have a new card from now on. I just needed a little time to work on CE credits, clean my house and make some meals. My Mr always likes me to try and be domestic. I'm much better at making cards and scrapbooks though:)

I was published:)

Happy Saturday and National Cardmaking Day. Here is a card I made and was published.

Look at that. I made the cover with this card.

UPDATED WORDING, LINKS, PICTURES 10-25-21 (I was unable to make the pictures bigger due to the quality.)
THE INFORMATION BELOW IS WHAT I HAD POSTED BUT ISN'T RELEVANT SINCE SNP WENT OUT OF BUSINESS.
However, I like to keep the information on my blog as my scrapping and cardmaking timeline.

I'm posting over at the Stamp N Plus blog today with my publication in Just Cards Magazine. The sentiment and the flower stamp are both by Stamp N Plus. I don't need to explain how I made my card since it is explained in the magazine.

I hope everyone has a fabulous day making cards and stop back tomorrow for my Chalk Ah Lot post.

Love never Ends

Life has been crazy busy with weddings lately. There are a handful that I am doing work for and find joy in working with brides and they're mothers. Just today I finished up wedding invitations, which I will post probably Friday, and gave them to the beautiful bride-to-be. Hopefully she likes them as much as I did.

After talking about weddings, I have a wedding card to share today. The patterned paper and chipboard embellishment are by Prima, Kraft Cardstock by Oriental Trading Co, ribbon by Michael's, vellum sticker sentiment by K and Co and border punch by Martha Stewart.

The second circle embellishment I made by stamping the My Stamp Box flower onto watercolor paper by Strathmore with Versa Mark ink and heat embossing with clear embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. Then I covered the stamped area with Ranger Industries gold Distress Stain. Once it was dry I used my Creative Memories cutting system to make the flower into a circle. The center of the flower contains beads by Queen and Co which I adhered with Rangers glossy accents.

That's my card for today. Best wishes for a glorious Thursday. My co-worker and I have big plans to attend the farmers market today. It will be a hot one if the weather is anything like yesterday.

Pretty in Pink

Really quick post today. I used doily by Fancy Pants, stamp by My Stamp Box, heat embossed with Versa Mark ink, Stampendous embossing powder and Ranger Distress Stains, beads in the center of the flower by Queen and Co, patterned paper Elle's Studio (words) and Basic Grey (pink center piece under kraft CS), embossing folder by Darice and the rest of the cardstock by Recollections.

Thanks for looking.

A Special Day

I made this card for my step mom for Mother's Day. It has a few different techniques to it. The circle is watercolor paper by Strathmore that I heat embossed with clear embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. The circle is cut from my Creative Memories cutting system and the ink for the stamp is Versa Mark. After it was embossed, I covered the paper with Ranger gold metallic distress stain. Because the distress products react with water I sprayed the circle with a mist of water and wiped off the area around the stamped image to reveal its embossing. That stamp is by Inkadinkado. I stamped a flower stamp by Hero Arts (very old) using Hero Arts black ink (love that ink). The flower needed a center, so I took some yellow and white beads by Queen and Co with some Glossy Accents by Ranger and made a clump. To finish up the card patterned paper was added along with a tag by Colorbok. The patterned paper has a decorative edge from using a Martha Stewart punch on it.

The lace is by Prima and the ribbon is by Queen and Co. The champagne glasses brads are old and I don't have the packaging anymore.

Valentine's Day

Another Valentine's card to show you today.

So the heart and beads are super old, like from the 90's, which I found in my stash. There weren't enough beads to completely go around the heart so I used some beads by Queen and Co to finish the job. I love how it turned out. The die cuts under the heart are by Spellbinders. The white scalloped square has been spritzed with Glimmer Mist. The sentiment is comprised of letter stamps by Stampin Up and a sticker by EK Success.

The background of my card is a stamp by Hero Arts that I heat embossed with red embossing powder onto kraft cardstock by Oriental Trading Co. The I used Ranger distressing ink Fired Brick and a blending tool to bring in the color. Ink by Versa Mark and Stampin Up.

The finishing touch is the double ribbon (Offray and Stampin Up) with the Spellbinders die cut on top of them. I used floss to make the 'x' and an eyelet to make the 'o'.

I hope your Valentine's day is filled with love. Mine is going to the pain doctor-boo.

Thanks for looking.

Off white Bday and TY

Love to do blocking on my cards. It just adds such a clean feel to the design. I won this lovely stamp made by La Blanche. I used distress inks Frayed Burlap on all the edges and for the stamp too. The flower in white is by SEI. I use wax paper and my blending tool from Ranger to ink my edges. The ink that was on the wax paper and a dab from the Tea Dye ink pad sprayed with water was the source of my ink for the flower. I just took the stamp and smeared it around the wet mess on my wax paper and stamped the image onto white cardstock. I hope that makes sense. That is how I got the flower to look the way it is.
Other supplies include: Cuttlebug dry embossing, ribbon by Queen and Co and HB stamp by ES.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

This second card is a different dimension than I normally do. It's almost 6 inches by 4 inches. The stamps I used on this card are by Fiskars. The chipboard sentiment is by SEI with black and white cardstock by Pioneer and grey CS by SU.
I'm entering this card into the challenge at Paper Pretties to create your own background paper.

Thanks for stopping by. I have to go to bed. I have a busy Friday ahead of me. God Bless!!

Tuesday Post Christmas in June

I have a lovely Christmas card to share with you for the challenge at Christmas Stampin. I don't think I have ever done one with them before and was inspired to try their challenge of black, white and one other color. This is what I came up with:

I'm not sure who the black and fuzzy white paper is by as it was a gift from another scrapper that hated the fuzzy white where I rather liked it. The green paper is by K & Co; brad is unknown; rhinestones are by Queen and Co; sentiment by TPCo; ink by VM; embossing powder by SP; ribbon by Offray; card base by The Paper Co. Thanks for looking and have a great Tuesday.
