Even though I still read everyone almost every day because I love you all, and comment when I can, I'm out of here until the summer. Then, I'm going to re-evaluate my approach to this blog and to blogging in general and come up with a better plan.
For now, I barely have time to use the toilet.
Peace out.

Because I don't have the brain power for a real post...
Meme stolen from Zoot:
The Meme of Us
How long have you been together? We were official on Nov. 17th, 2007
How long did you date? We dated about 3 months prior to that, I was hesitant and unsure and he was persistent. :-)
How old is he? 21, I'm only 4 months older.
Who eats more? We both do a lot of food damage, sometimes I feel I eat more!
Who said ‘i love you’ first? No one has yet...but we like each other a whole lot! :-)
Who is taller? I am by a fraction of an inch
Who is smarter? It depends...he's good at logical concepts like math, science and business (which is his major) and I'm much better at abstract concepts like English, Psychology, and Communications. I have more emotional experience, he has more logical experience. We balance each other out pretty well.
Who does the laundry? We do our own since we don't live together, but sometimes he lets me use his washer and dryer.
Who does the dishes? If we're at my house, I do the dishes...if we're at his house, I do the dishes. ;-)
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I always sleep closest to the wall so at my house he sleeps on the right, but at this house, I sleep on the right.
Who pays the bills? Both of us live on our own.
Who cooks dinner? Usually me unless we go out.
Who is more stubborn? We're both stubborn about what we feel is important in life, but I think he's more so.
Who kissed who first? I kissed him first even though I shamefully barely remember. It was the night before the Homecoming game in October and the marching band had gone out to play for all the fraternities in the middle of the night. We came back to my apartment and continued drinking. The rest was filled in by him...I apparently grabbed his hand and took him to my bed (meep) and he kissed me on the forehead goodnight so I grabbed his face and kissed him. He's still a little hurt that I don't really remember, but it's college, what am I supposed to do? ;-)
Who asked who out? I knew he was interested and he was waiting for me to figure out what I wanted to do, so it was up to me to make it "official". We went to see a movie, and beforehand had a few drinks at the bar. Early that day, I had made up my mind to ask him with a note saying "Will you go out with me? Check 'yes' or 'no'". I had it in my pocket and kept touching it but thought I was going to chicken out. We decided to get some fresh air before the movie started so we walked outside and looked at the Cincinnati Skyline all lit up...I took a deep breath and gave him the note. And here we are!
Who is more sensitive? Me. I'm constantly in some extreme emotional state and take things said the wrong way all the time.
Who has more friends? We both have a large group of friends but I think I have the most close friends.

Old St. George
Friday night, a church on our campus, Old St. George was on fire. The blaze could be seen from my friends' dorms, from the surrounding neighborhoods and has just left everyone shocked...
The following are pictures from friends and fellow classmates...

I'm alive.
The UC Marching Band had it's own version of the Black Plague sweep through picking us off one by one. By Tuesday night's rehearsal, 9 people had called in sick with the same thing: flu. Fever, Chills, Aches, Stomache issues of various kinds, Headaches, Congestion, Coughing...etc and so forth. A few others came to band anyways...those little troopers. Unfortunatly, those little troopers spread their joyness around and Wednesday dawned with me being fluish as well. I only stayed in bed 1 day but the 1-2 days afterwards, I had to bargain myself into doing anything productive like going to work and class. I feel pretty decent now, but most of us are still slightly under the weather. So there you have it. Flu season is upon us.
I spent the weekend in true band fashion. Saturday morning, bright and early, 5 of us piled in the Chevy and drove up to Indianapolis for the North Central District Leadership Conference for the sorority and the fraternity. It was actually quite fun seeing an old TBS friend from Ohio State and meeting some new ones. The day was long and cold, however, so we were glad to get back late Saturday night. I crashed from the exhaustion. Today, we had a joint relations event at the Cincinnati Museumn of Natural History. I've only been to the Dino Exhibit section for a class I once took, but this time I got to explore the whole shebang including the super-sweet cave system. They built a cave inside of the museum that actually replicates a fairly large cave system. You can take the advanced route or the easy route...the advanced sends you near underground waterfalls, on the edge of small pools and through extremely tight, dark crevices. Even some bats are afoot. It was really neat, you forgot you were inside at all. I love museums and institutions of learning where you can touch things. I'm a touchy-feely kind of person. :-) Afterwards, I was invited to my "little brother's" house to meet his family and have supper. Delicious. His mom has the kitchen I dream of owning some day along with all the fun gadgets.
The night was rounded out by watching the Packers lose to the Giants down at Big Red and now I'm ready for sleeps. Here, here for 3-day weekends!

I Should Be Getting Ready for Work
It's the start of a week that will usually be punctuated with minor crisis if not catastrophic events (catastrophic in the sense of the band and sorority world which in the grand scheme aren't really that bad...though sometimes they make you dizzy). I have to go to work twice today...once at 9, class at noon-2, back to work until 4. Mondays are also homework days when I get everything around for the week school-work wise. I have a lot of reading to do this evening. Can you tell I'm a in grumpy mood?
Blogging is all about the ventage even if it's stupid ventage.
Have a lovely day.

UC Owns My Soul
Whew! What a frickin' week!
School started again Monday so I got to spend 400 dollars on books which always makes me smile...or not...
I'm taking 5 classes:
Interpersonal Communication
Algebra II
Western Traditions in Literature
American Lit Survey
Concert Band
Eh. They're all ok. It's my fourth year of english classes and as much as I enjoy the subject, it really is all the same. You get assigned 4-5 works from "the canon" and read a large chunk of pages every two days then go back into class where you and your classmates grope for metaphorical and symbolic meaning and hope the teacher doesn't look at you like an idiot. Sprinkle in a few lengthy papers. Rinse, repeat. But, I've gotten pretty good at it, with moderate effort I am able to spit out A and B worthy work without breaking too much of a sweat. I'll just be glad to start my education classes in the spring for a bit of diversity.
Band is still band only in a concert setting. Rather than running around on the field honking on my saxophone in 30 degree weather, we all break out the concert instruments (flute for me!) and try to sit still for 2 hours while we struggle through the 1812 overture.
Can you tell that I'm getting a bit tired of the usual schedule? It's about that time for me to graduate I think.
Speaking of...graduate school packets started coming in the mail for NYU, North Carolina-Greensboro and a few others I haven't checked yet. I feel like a Junior in HS all over again.
Thanks to Brillig, I'm using cre8buzz.com which might generate more visits to my sight. I love all 3 of you, but wouldn't mind some extra company! :-) We will see how this pans out.
As far as anything else...the sorority process has started once more and we have 10 lovely candidates coming into our ranks. This process consumes a majority of my Winter Quarter time and now that I'm El Presidente, I have already been running around in a spastic daze trying to manhandle every crisis that comes at me. This may get very exhausting. But, I embrace a good challenge, so off to the races we go. I have a little brother from the fraternity, and this will mark my 5 little to date and I'm already doting upon him like a child. Oh the wonders a fraternal bond can bring.

One Big Hormonal Ball
When I was having a lot of my sleep issues, I went off birth control for the first time in 3 years in August to try and figure out the depression/sleep meds I was on and I went back on New Years Day. I remember that first month...it takes a while for your body to get adjusted and I was a ball of joy that fateful July many years ago. And, once again, I'm a ball of joy getting re-adjusted to my body tricking itself into thinking it's preggers. I have always been hormonal just like my Mom and Grandma, all of my family is blessed with PMS that surprisingly hasn't turned anyone into serial killers. I have thrice freaked out about issues in the past 5 days that required a mere annoyance, not an "ohmigod end of the freaking world" reaction. I will be completely calm one minute, feel anger I have never experienced the next minute, then call you back over after yelling at you to give you a hug...and promptly lop your head off with an axe. BECAUSE YOU EFFING DISERVED IT. Not really. Sorry. Hurry up next period so my body stops hating me or before I kill someone.
