Your Presents Sketch Challenge #SSINKCS24

Good morning blogging peeps! I hope everyone had a nice weekend!  The weather here in Virginia has been great!  Nice cool mornings and nights.  Perfect for early morning runs and evenings sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee!

Today I am over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and its the first Monday of the month, which means its time for an all new card sketch challenge.  Come check out what I created, then go get crafty and play along with us!!!

Our sketch for August.....

......and this is what I came up with.  At Convention this year, our FREE stamp set was one from the new upcoming Holiday Mini catalog...."Your Presents".  I only got to play with it one time at convention during our make and take and decided to break it in some more.  You can never have to many birthday cards so I used bright and coloring colors of Bermuda bay, watermelon wonder and crushed curry to create these fun gifts!  I also stamped and threw in a little "Amazing Birthday" for the sentiment and a fun watermark birthday cake on the Bermuda bay present.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ Bermuda bay, whisper white
Ink ~ Bermuda bay, crushed curry and watermelon wonder
Stamp sets ~ Your Presents and Amazing Birthday
Misc. ~ black sequins, black twine and large polka dot embossing folder

I hope you have been inkspired by my take on the sketch.  Leave some "love" and go see what the other designers have created!

Amazing Birthday!

Good morning and thanks for stopping by this fine Friday!  Today over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration, we are sharing projects made from the ever so popular "Amazing Birthday" stamp set.  I have seen so many cute things made with this set, and our design team members have really done a great job showing even more things that can be done with it.  Here is what I created...

The one thing I really love about this set, is that you can do some fun layering with it.  For example, I stamped the whole "make today amazing" stamp in rich razzleberry.  But then I used my tempting turquoise and pumpkin pie to stamp just the "make" and "amazing" parts to cut out and layer with foam dots.  I like how the strawberry slush on film frame helps it all stand out.

I hope everyone has an awesome weekend.  Come back Monday to see what fun things I created over the weekend.  Now leave some "love" and go check out the other design team members and their creations.  Happy Stamping!!!

To make this post even a little more special for our Birthday post, I went back and pulled our very first card sketch challenge.

and here is my take on the sketch.

After receiving the "Amazing Birthday" stamp set at Convention last month, I thought it fitting to use it for todays projects.  I first stamped the image in rich razzleberry and stamped two of the highlighted phrased in old olive and pumpkin pie and mounted them on top with foam dots.  The cute little banners at the bottom are from the sweet taffy dsp pack.  I also used my favorite embossing folder right now, the large polka dots for my whisper white layer.

On the inside, I embossed a small corner portion and layed down a 1/2" strip of melon mambo with two punched out banners.  Now I couldn't just stop here with just a card.  What's a birthday celebration without a candy treat?!  So I broke out my super cute French fry container die for my Big Shot (speaking of Big Shot, did I tell you we have an awesome special going on right now?  See the bottom of post for all the details!)

I cut out one in rich razzleberry to match my card base and embossed it with the same large polka dotted folder.  I stamped sentiments from the same stamp set and stapled it to the box.  The inside is filled the Hershey hugs!!
