Warm Wishes Deer You! FM207

Good Friday morning!  Today I am over at The Friday Mashup were we have a new and fun challenge.  So go look thru all of those hidden treasurers and get to creating and join us!

This week's Mashup! Challenge!
  • Create a project using "the sketch".
  • Create a project using "your favorite Retired/Retiring/Forgotten Stamp".
  • or Mash it Up! and create a project using your Favorite Retired Stamp set and the Sketch".

Well I couldn't just pick one stamp set for my favorite, I picked two.  Off the grid is the first one.  This is such a fun and cool stamp to use for backgrounds for those special guys in your life or really just about any project.  The second is, Remembering Christmas and I don't love and use it for Christmas, again its the perfect set to use for masculine cards and projects.  Its the one thing my stamp set cabinet lacks, is more masculine stamp sets.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ tangelo twist, whisper white, cardboard cardstock
Ink ~ baked brown sugar, tangelo twist, mossy meadow
Stamp sets ~ off the grid, remembering Christmas
Misc. ~ baked brown sugar twine, hot glue gun for dots, mossy meadow satin in color ribbon, wooden clothes pins, mini banner punch

I hope you have enjoyed my card this week.  Leave some "love" and make sure you slide on over to the main page for The Friday Mashup and see what the other designers created!

Easter Wishes CYCI#64

Good Sunday Easter morning!   Today I am over at Can You Case It? and we are sharing our new color challenge.  Grab those colors and get crafty!

I thought in celebration of Easter and finally some nice Spring weather, I pull out my Blessed Easter tulip stamp and play around with it.  I started with a base of sahara sand and stamped on a background with the off the grid stamp as well as the gorgeous grunge stamp set.  I just love both of these together.  I really like how I pulled in the colors of crisp cantaloupe and pistachio pudding with the mini banners, the sequins along with the twine.

I hope you have enjoyed my design team card for this weeks color challenge.  Leave some "love" and don't forget to hop on over and see what the other team members have created.

Hooray for today ~ with CTS#74 and HSS#185

Good evening, yes, today you are getting to catch my blog twice, and what better way than for a creation inspired by two challenges.  The sketch covers Cas(e) This Sketch and the color scheme covers Hand Stamped Sentiments, both of which are awesome!  You should go play along too!

The sketch is simple, which I loved cause its something I struggle with and am trying to improve on and get better with.  Why?  Cause I just love layers!  If you look closely, I do have an added layer of coastal cabana behind the stamped top layer. Tee Hee!!  I just can't resist...I LOVE PAPER!!

I used the Geometrical stamp set to stamp in colors of baked brown sugar, tangerine tango and coastal cabana, to scatter around the top of the card to go work with the sketch.  As a background stamp, I used Off the Grid (boo hoo!, so sad to see it go!)  I also to stamped two triangles in T. tango and punched out with coordinating punch and placed on top the two stamped ones with a foam dot for a little 3-D look.  I added some candy dots to my sentiment and scattered around a few gold sequins.  The gold bakers twine crisscrossed at the bottom just ties everything together.

Of course, I'm showing the inside...its just as important as the outside!  Although, now that I look at this, it would be pretty for a front too, with some added sequins and twine!!  Whatcha thing?!

Supplies Used

As always, I hope you have enjoyed my take on the two challenges.  Don't forget to leave some "love"!  Be sure you stop by tomorrow, it's our monthly blog hop with Stylin' Stampin' Squad!!

One Wicked Birthday with #CTS71

Happy Hump Day!  Yep just two more days after today and its the weekend again!  I know, its terrible that we rush our lives so much thru the week to get to the weekend, but well, they shouldn't have made the weekend so darn fun for someone to look so forward to it coming!!!

I have been been a little bit of a slacker with my challenges I like to play around with this week.  I am getting ready for an all day crop at my house on Saturday and I've been making special treats!  I did find a few minutes to play around with the sketch over at Cas(e) This Sketch!  There was no beating around the bush with this sketch.  I knew right away what I wanted to do.  Don't you love it when that happens?!

This is just the perfect masculine card ever!  Bold guy colors and lots of grunge.  I did use some ribbon for the banner ends, but instead of a bow (which is totally girlie) I just tied a knot.  For my stamp layers, I used Off the Grid and Gorgeous Grudge in colors of island indigo, soft sky and pumpkin pie.

And of course we can't forget the inside.  Kept simple, but I carried the same stamp layers to the inside.  Now all it needs is that hand written birthday message!

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ very vanilla, early espresso, pumpkin pie, island indigo
Ink ~ early espresso, soft sky, pumpkin pie, island indigo
Stamp Sets ~ Off the Grid and Gorgeous Grunge
Misc. ~ early espresso taf. ribbon, banner punch, candy dots, MDS software where I typed and printed my birthday front sentiment

I hope you have enjoyed my wicked birthday card!  Don't forget to leave some "love", I always appreciate and enjoy reading them!
