i've been having a great time this week telling you about some of my favorite uses for vintage goodies and talking about the fun stuff that's in my etsy shop, but now i'd like a little help from you... and i'm willing to "pay" for your assistance... sound good?! 

in order to help me find and stock the items my fellow papercrafters are craving, i need to know what ♥YOUR♥ favorite vintage "ingredients" are, so everyone who leaves a comment on this post telling me their favorite vintage item to use for crafting will be entered in a random draw and the prize will be to choose $15 dollars worth of items from my etsy shop, JUST ENOUGH STUFF!

Hi everyone! Awwww........... the retro/vintage era...I just can't seem to get enough of it! Part of this gorgeous Pink Rose Cottage kit is of that wonderful time. I was so happy to see some of this kind of stuff in the kit when I opened it up. I thought that this gal, from one of the pp's, would make a wonderful addition to a lo of my parents. I then added one of the gorgeous Prima flower buttons to get the proper 'feel' to it. I also used a piece of the packing tissue behind the pic, a few drops of ink, and chalk to highlight near the sewing........there are just so many wonderful things that you can make with this kit!

Just think of what you could do with all the goodies!

Designer Day Three ~ Syd Layout by Wendi Robinson

For this page, I really wanted to go all out.. LOTS of distressing, sewing, texture, and embellishments.. I just LOVE the feel and mix of the kit!!! All the elements flow so well together.

Creating your own embellishment:
I punched circles out of the pink Echo Park's "Rose" paper. Next I crumpled the circles up, inked them up, and then added the Prima cuttons for centers... BAM... you've just created your own embellishments.

I also added one of the Prima buttons to the center of the Maya Road flowers that I had split from the altered box project(coming soon). I added a mix of embellishments down the side of the photo, to add lots of eye candy to the page.

I pleated both the ribbon, and the paper strip and added machine sewing, while also distressing most of the paper.
