Fun Stampers Journey - Paris Girl.

It's time for another Make Amazing Girl Card For the Richard Garay DT!
Today I'm using the gorgeous new stamp set Paris Girl from the NEW Fun Stampers Journey Catalog. Isn't she just darling! I LOVE her. If you follow me on Instagram and Facebook you already saw a sneak peek of my Paris Girl when I was coloring her. I have also used the new Paris Vintage Paper Collection, also by Fun Stampers Journey. Notice the flowers in her hat match the paper! ;)
There's also another Flower flower stamp set that goes with this entire Paris Vintage Collection

I didn't want to overload the embellishments because I didn't want to cover the gorgeous paper. So I wanted to add a little texture so I used my Square Pierced Dies to create this stitched effect along the 'poloroid frame'. Super cute, right!

Whenever I color an image with eyes whether it's an animal or a person, I always take a fine black marker and trace the eyes. It really gives you a finished look and brings the image to life.
Try it on your next project!!

Well, that's all for now. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and weekend.
I have some big news to share very, very soon!

Get the Scoop -- Fun Stampers Journey!

I have gotten a few questions about Fun Stampers Journey so I thought I'd share a few little things with you about this company.

First of all Fun Stampers Journey is founded by Richard Garay and his wife Gabby. I met them a few years ago at one of my Copic Classes at This n That Scrapbooking in Chino, California. The company was much smaller with just a handful of coaches at this time. A year ago I had seen my friend Cindy's post about the company and joining Fun Stampers Journey and becoming a Journey Coach. I called her right away to get a few more details. She said big things are going to happen with this company I can feel it! Sooo I thought about and then I signed up and I am Coach #227! I signed up right after their first Grand Event that was actually here in California and I MISSED IT!

So it's been 9 months and this company has just about trippled in coaches! We have already had our first convention and there is an incentive trip you can earn!

Lately the new trend has been a little more simple! I've really gone from frilly nilly to plain jane! Let me tell you why.

I was tired of all my cards looking the same. same types of papers, flowers, etc. That's why I fell in love with mixed media! So I started doing some of that. I just couldn't find my niche! I was burnt out from teaching Copic Classes for 3+ years. I was unmotivated! I love being on design teams and that was my main focus for a long time. Since having to work for the last 2 years it was so hard to keep my commitments on all my design teams...

.. then I discovered something amazing that I've been working on for months... still working on and not ready to fully share yet! -- Such a tease.. right?

Ok, Let's talk Fun Stampers Journey Products!

We now have more stamps you can color in! YES!!!! I love to color! Take a look at this darling new image from a stamp set called Paris Girl. The card I created with this image will be up on my blog later this week!

Not only is there more images you can color there's more embellishments, ribbon, lace..

We now have Jewlery.. charms and lockets!!!!!!

There's 5 full themed collections!

Journey Girl - Fashion stamps, Pattern Paper, Jewlery, Lockets!

Journey Media - FULL Line of Mixed Media, Paints, Sprays, Stamps, Stencils and gorgeous papers!

Paris Vintage - Gorgeous Shabby Chic collection with papers, Stamps, Lace, Doily Flowers!!

Yummy and Delicious - Amazing collection to create yummy projects an party decor, table settings, Dies, washi tape..!!!

We even have some ADORABLE craft bags and totes now!!!!

How amazing is all of this! Can you imagine where this company is going? I'm SO GLAD I became a coach when I did. I'd be kicking myself!

The new products will be introduced in waves throughout the next 6 weeks. If you are looking for a new Journey I would love to have you on my team! email me!! Or Contact me.

Creating a 3D effect on your cards!

Hello there crafty peeps!

Today I have a little tutorial to share with you for my Richard Garay 'Make Amazing Girl' DT project! I made this 'Fun' little card to share with you. Aren't those balloons adorable! Well I'm going to show you how I made those by combining a couple of products, you might not otherwise combine. I always try to think outside the box a little and come up with something a little unique or at least use the products in a little bit of a different way.

Here we go.. Let's make some 3D looking
bubbly balloons!

So I used the little Celebra'tions Tag That (thought bubble die) for my balloons.
Now, you see the coffee stamp set, 'Cup for two' off to the right.. I stamped the cup first, 2 times in the Captivating Coral Ink and then cut out the die.

I then trimmed the points off of the bottom of the thought bubbles. Now they look like balloons!!!

Next, I used my Fun Stampers Journey Bloom Tool and got out the stylus piece and went over the entire backside of the 'Balloon' in a circular motion. You will start to see the balloon curl on the edges.

You can see the difference in the one I haven't done yet...

Doesn't that look darling! You have some bubbly little balloons for your card!

Oh and take a look at those green splatters! I used the Lucous Green Liqid Silk. I just LOVE this stuff. It's like a  bottle of nail polish so when you tap on the lid you really get a great splatter effect!!

Well I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial. Until next time my freinds!

Don't you just love this butterfly! The stamp set is called Enjoy the Journey. Not only is this set gorgeous! It has a coordinating die set.. so no fussy cutting here! I just LOVE that about
Fun Stampers Journey. There are so many stamps and dies that coordinate!

Ice Cream is Happiness!

It's been a while since I've sat and created. I have had my last few projects made way in advance. I've have a really bad carpal tunnel flare up and it's making it hard to grip objects for long periods of time. So I had put crafting aside for a few weeks. Yesterday I finally was able to site and create. Boy, do I miss my crafts!

Over this last weekend Fun Stampers Journey has released their 2015-2016 Catalog! Oh my!!
There are some fabulous new collections in there, Paris Vintage, Journey Girl.. a full line of Journey Mixed Media! Jewlery! If you haven't been over you should check it out!!! If you are interested in signing up as a coach I'd love to have you sign up under me! Contact me!!

Here's my project for this week's Make Amazing Girl DT project!I made this adorable little table setting with an ice cream theme using the Fun Stampers Journey Yummy and Delicious collection. The stamp set I used is called 'Hello Scoop'. IT's adorable! and I just adore that saying!! The splatters being the quote is an ATC stamp called 'Ink Splat'. I used my Bubble Gum Ink. The darker splats are splatters of Bubble Gum Liquid Silk. I just love this stuff it comes in a 'nail polish' like bottle and has a little brush and it is so easy to get those splatter effects.

Fun Stampers Journey Yummy and Delicious

Ism't this such a cute little set up for ice cream if you had an ice cream party. I just love the way it came out. Those little ice cream cones are so cute.

Yummy and Delicious Place Settings!

It's time for another Fun Stampers Journey project to share with you all!
This little card set is so cute. The stamps and papers are from the Yummy and Delicious Collection. Fun Stampers Journey is currently travelig all over the USA promorting this amazing collection. YOu can view their tour schedule HERE to join the fun!

I made a matching Cupcake Treat Holder with the Cupcake Liner Die! This is seriously so cute! and you can easily make matching place settings for a baby shower, birthday, Thanksgiving ANY get together. This little set would make darling place settings.

This Pineapple Smoothie Crimpped Ribbon is stunning. I love the texture on it.
Of course I added lots of dimension by using my foam dots on the suckers and onmy pierced rectangle layer. Remember you don't need to hand stich or line up those rolling stitching tools. Fun Stampers Journey has these amazing dies that you can add the piercing template inside the die. It matches and lines up beautifully!

Isn't that rainbow chevron paper delish!
It's one of my favorite paterns in this collection.

Well, I hope you enjoy'ed my project. Have a wonderful and amazing day!

A Fun Stampers Journey Gift Set

Hello there crafty friends.

Today I'm sharing with you a little gift set I made with my daughters girls scout troop for Mothers Day. I had made all the girls pre-cut kits. I did let them stampthe flowers and used the Journey Grand to die cut the flowers. I thought they would get a kick out of that instead of using scissors. The class was a hit. The Bow die is probably one of the coolest dies I've ever seen. We used the little box die and filled it with Hershey kisses.

I had the girls stamp the flower on the white card stock and then take the die cut one and add a foam dot adding height and dimension. Which is the same thing I did for the flower on the box. These papers are from the Yummy and Delicious Collection. You can check out the dates of the Yummy and Delicious Tour HERE!

Make Live Share -- Candle Holders!

Have you seen this week's Make Live Share by Richard Garay.
This week Richard is using the super cute and ever so versatile Cupcake liner die from Yummy and Delicious! These dies will available in the new Fun Stampers Journey Catalog which will be out in just a few weeks!

Make Live Share is a great little challenge that Richard has going on each week. You can read about how you can play along here. If you would like to watch the video you can do so here.

I have made a little center piece decoration using my cupcake liner and some candles. I used the Journey Twine creating a twine flower and putting a button in the center. I love the way this looks!

I also used a misc. paper doily in the inside of the liner creating a lace effect behind the scallop die.

I hope you will participate in this week's Make Live Share.
You can be the lucky winner of a FREE WORKSHOP for you and 15 of your crafty friends by the one and only Richard Garay himself!

Creating a Fun Stampers Journey Stamp Collage.

Hi there Crafty friends!

Today I have a Fun Stampers Journey Post to share.
I want to share some of my tips on layering inks and creating a mixed media look.
Whether you are creating a card, box, tag or any other project. I suggest taking a piece of card stock that is a little larger than your actual project. For example, the piece I started with was a little bigger than this box I made using Fun Stampers Journey Treat Box Die DI-0006. Reason being is if your card stock fits your project you are going to be thinking where exactly you want to stamp each stamp pattern. We want a 'random look right, off-center. So for me this is the easiest way I can achieve that look.

So now I have my card stock I'm going to create a little collage.

After I trim my paper down to now fit my project I inked the edges in black giving a little border. Then, I added this adorable little Hot Air Balloon from the Lift Me Stamp Set. I used a foam dot to give this some dimension. Wrap some ribbon and pop a bow on and voila!
A daring little gift box!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and have a crafty weekend!

Celebra'tions - Sunny Days Card and Ribbon Pleating Tutorial!

I’m so excited to be sharing with you my first project as Richard Garay's Make Amazing Girl! This has been such a wonderful experience so far and it’s just the beginning.

Today I’m sharing a super fun Summery card using Richard Garay’s Celebra’tions Collection. Soon as I saw this polka dot orange paper in the Celebrations Prints Package I had to use it! I have used the Stamp and Die Set SunnyDays. After all, what goes better with orange polka dot paper better than a sun shine, right?

I’ve also used the Pierced Circles Dies for the white and orange circles. My favorite part about these dies is that you can choose whether or not you want to add the piercings. Notice the texture on the white circle behind my sentiment. I have used the ‘Create a Cone’ die set to emboss my circle with a waffle cone texture.

I use A LOT of foam dots! I love texture and dimension on my cards so every layer is on a foam dot!
Even the cloud that sits on the sun is on a foam dot. I have used some Journey Sparkle Dust on the inner part of my orange circle. A few other embellishments are Journey Twine, Buttons, Sequins and TangerineFusion Gingham Ribbon.

Which brings me to one of my favorite techniques.
Ribbon pleating. Here’s a super easy way to pleat ribbon.

First, you will need Ribbon, Scissors and JourneyWhite Liner tape.

Then you will place a strip of the White Liner Tape across the ribbon.

Next, make little loops pinching the ribbon. You don’t want to the ribbon too tight unless you want tight looking pleats. Then trim off ribbon stands..and attach to your project!

Well I hope you enjoyed my project and mini tutorial.
 Have a wonderful day!

April Kit of the Month with Copics!

Hello everyone.
Have you seen Fun Stampers Journey's Kit of the Month. It's adorable!!
If you don't have a large collection of supplies and embellishments these kits are perfect! You get 4 card kits with colorful step by step instructions. I always challenge myself to come up with a completely different design using the combined card kits in the kit. I do add white or a neutral card stock and or little embellishments.

You know me and my foam dots! Look at all the height.. love dimension and texture!

Here's a little work in progress timeline I've created. I love to see little coloring bring an image to life! I masked her with the raindrops and then colored her with my Copic Markers.
I used:
Skin: E11, E00, E000,
Cheeks: R32, R30
Coat: Y26, Y21
Hat and scarf: R85, R81, RV10
Background: N1, BG0000,
Ground : BG11, BG10, BG0000
Umbrella: N5, N3, N0, R85, R81, Y26, Y21

I always give little sneak peeks like this on my instagram and sometimes on Facebook. I'd love it if you would follow me!

After I attached her to my card I added some Journey Sparkle Dust to the umbrella, rain drops and ground.

I love to 'make things my own'. Take a look at the cards you could make from the kit or do something on your own that inspired you!
