Turn an old box into Mixed Media Art!

Hi there everyone!

I'm up on the Limor Webber Designs Blog today!
Here's a Mixed Media Box I decorated out of a Levis belt box. I just love how you can use things in your home that you'd normally throw away and turn it into art!
The Sentiment is From Jamie Dougherty's Bloom Girl Anneli.

I really love all of the textures on this box. In the video below you can learn how I layer all of these elements. Sometimes Mixed Media can be a little intimidating when you see a busy project and don't know where to begin or what to do first, such as painting or stamping adding texture paste, etc.

Here's a video tutorial of me creating this little box and all the different stages and textures you build upon. I hope you enjoy the video and are inspired to create your own Mixed Media art!

Enjoy!

Keep the Stars in your eyes..

Happy Monday All!

A couple weeks ago I shared some very exciting news with you all. There's a fantastic post up on Richard Garay's Blog so you can hear a little more about all of the designers.

Today I have a fun card to show you. I used Fun Stampers Journey last month's Kit of the Month. I just love this little ballerina. The stamp set is called 'Twinkle Toes'.

The stamped collage under the star is from 2 different Stamp sets, The dots, stripes, stars and spots are from the SS-0009 Banner Party Stamp Set. Then I used the ATC Stamp Set AT-0090 Honeycomb. I love the Honeycomb stamp!! I used My Fun Stampers Ink Pad IP-0029 Sweet Berry,

I added AC-0013 Journey Glaze  all over the entire star.
I also added spots here and there on the collage.
Then I sprinkled the Journey Dust over that. It gives such a beautiful, shiny, sparkle look.

I popped up my images and elements with some AC-0098 Journey Foam Squares.

I colored the ballerina using my Copics.
Skin - E000, E00, E11, E13
Hair - N9, N7, N5, N3
Outfit - N0, N1. N3, tiny bit of N5

You know me, always looking for those extra little embellishments for different textures. I added some AC-0113 Journey Sequins Blue Skies and that darling little paperclip from
the AC-0101 Fun Day Elements assorted Clips.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my card.
Please pop on over and see the Design Team Post over on Richard Garay's Blog. We are all just thrilled to the moon and back about this fantastic experience and we want to share it with you all!

Limor Webber Mixed Media Card!

Hello Everyone, Today I have a pretty simple card to show you. It's a mixed media type card. I really love the way it turned out. It was simple and yet so many different textures and elements. Really a fun card!

I love all of the height and dimension from the stickers and the flowers.. leaving a small shadow on the colorful splatter under them.

If you ever want to add a little height and weight to your card all you need to do is glue a square of cardstock under the first layer. It adds dimension and gives your card sturdiness.

Enjoy the video!

I covered the box in Lili of the Valley's One Birdie Lane Designer paper. Then I added some molding paste, and Lindy's Stamp Spray's. I really LOVE the way this project came out.

Here's the list for the blog hop. If you want a chance to win some goodies leave a comment and

Hello my fellow crafty peeps!

Hi Everyone!

It's been a hectic year already and it's just starting.

So many new possibilities for me this year that I'm so excited about. I'm sad to share that I'll be taking a break from teaching Copic Classes. As much as I'm sad this is such a great way for me to focus on my new Journey. Which involves Fun Stampers Journey! I'm thrilled about the opportunity that I have with this company. Taking a break from my classes will give me the chance to focus on this and still have time to be creative with my Design Teams! So YAY!
One door closes and another is always waiting to be opened, right?!

So I went to CHA last Saturday and I loved seeing my pals. Jamie Dougherty and the Bloom Girls DT are ABSOLUTELY a blast! Jamie took us all out to dinner and then we went to the Prime Blogger Networking Party. It was a lot of fun and it was so great getting to meet the faces behind the blog! I also got to walk the floor with my dear friend and Upline Cindy. We walked that show for 3 hours and I cannot believe how time flew by. It was fun. Hopefully next year I'll be able to go for more than a day!

I haven't had much time over the last few weeks with the Holiday's, Work, CHA, Family.. but I did get a chance to sit and color a little last week. Here's a quick card I through together using

Have you seen the new Bloom Girl Stamps! Oh my goodness!
You are going to LOVE these. Here's a card I created using the new 'Bloom Girl Stamp Emily' and the background was created using The Bloom Girl Stencil 'Spark'.  I colored then gorgeous image with my Copics of course.

I hope you enjoy my card. I have lots of posts coming soon. I'm in the process of scheduling them. :)

Merry Christmas Eve!

I can't believe it's Christmas Eve.
We are having Christmas at my house this year and I'm really excited about it.

Yesterday I cleaned.
Today I'm going to be setting up the tables.
Right now Ralph's making me breakfast. :)
Kids are barely getting up.. well the teenage boy isn't.

Today I'm off and I will have to get up and be at work in the morning at 5am. I hope this will be the last year I have to work on Christmas. That's what I want for Christmas!

Good things are happening in 2015! I can feel it.

Here's an ornament I made using the Julie Nutting wooden ornaments. I painted it with acrylic paints and embossed in gold and used crackle accents a the new Prima Finnabair glitter. I really LOVE the way it came out. The photos really doesn't do it justice.

Create your own December Daily!

Hi there everyone. It's time for my post on the Limor Webber Blog!

I decided to make my own December Daily. I love the way it came out. I just plan on typing out my daily dos and layering them on the page. Simple but it will get done this year!  Here's some photos and there's a video below. Check it out!

I also took the little mini files that come with the card boxes from Michaels and added them as pages, just for another type of element to the pages.
