Boreas - Day 5

A bit unseasonable cold has landed upon Texas this past week.  Historical weather data will tell you this is not the coldest Texas has seen this time of year but I bet this is the longest spell for this time of year. Then, if you add the number of days without sunshine... grim.

Ok, ok, I did see it for a brief moment Sunday morning. Then it was gone.

This year, my sweetie and I decided to construct a greenhouse with some real bones. So far the temps inside have been in the 40's.  Some sunshine would be a real boost for us and the greenhouse.

No freezing temperatures here so far but the temperature has remained steady in the mid 30's since last Friday.  Sunday, we hoped to hop into the jeep for a trip out west to see some snow but so far no snow and really not any ice.

Fingers crossed for now.

Hope the weather is nice where you are.

Venus Rising

This morning's sunrise with Venus - photo taken with the Olympus.

A minute later with the Sony. Different cameras different possibilities/personalities.

BTW - the next cold front is coming, Texas. Get out the ice scrapers. No chance Fort Worth or Dallas will be saved this time as football season is over.

43 with a high of 20?

One of those wonders of meteorology where the high happens at midnight and the afternoon will be frightfully cold. Yup, this is the same time as the other lovely sunrise of January 12th . There will be no sign of sun today only precipitation of the frozen kind. I can only hope it will be the fluffy pretty kind.

Not posting much as of late as I have been taking advantage of the lovely weather to move in to the (hopefully) last place to live for awhile. The satellite dish has been installed and the winner was DirecTV. We love it! So as I will be grounded today, it looks like a good day to put all those shelves together and get the dust collectors out.

Y'all stay warm wherever you are.

Cold Morning Sunrise

I awoke to these beautiful colors filling the room. Well, they were better. It took a couple minutes to find the camera. Yes, it was in my purse, but were did I put my purse?

It is 22 degrees F. I am so thankful for these morning clouds as it would have been much colder. We are supposed to have these temps all day today and finally warm tomorrow.

Did I say Brrrrr?
