This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1890's Jacket
From the seller:
I will start by letting you know that this jacket is in rough shape and is being sold as-found. All of the buttons are ripped off except two, there are tears, wear, stains, moth holes, etc; it was worn for a play and held together. It is made of brown floral print silk with brown silk velvet trim. The tag inside reads "Altman & Co New York" (I think, the first letter is cut off). The measurements are as follows: shoulder to shoulder - 13", bust - 36", waist - 27", sleeve length from shoulder - 23.5", jacket length from back of neck - 19".
From Me:
If you look at the sleeves from the back, they look like early 1890's sleeves.
