Oh Joyful Day collection - Christmas Shaker Tags trio

Hi crafty friends! I have a trio of shaker Christmas tags to share today. As soon I saw the new tag die set from the Essentials Holiday collection from Spellbinders I just had to make a set of shaker tags! They are all decorated with elements from the new collection Oh Joyful Day which features a card making kit, Scrapbooking Kit and several individual addon products like sentiment stickers and chipboard embellishments.
ESSENTIAL TAGS DIE SET AND OH JOYFUL DAY COLLECTION

To make my shaker tags, I used the largest tag die from the new Essential Tags die set as the base. I made a frame with the largest and 3rd largest die. I then die cut the "twine tab" and adhered it at the top. I filled my tags with a variety of shaker elements from my stashI decorated the tags with elements from the Card Making kit and the Oh Joyful Day Cardstock Ephemera pack. I love love the colors in the collection and the ephemera! If you missed the cards I made using this collection, you can find them HERE.
Aren't these fun? There are so many elements in the kit you could make as many tags as your heart desires!
Tag 1
Tag 2
Tag 3
It was hard to stop at just 3, but I have another fall wax seal card I'm working on and didn't want to get too distracted. I love how these turned out!
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Peace on Earth BetterPress card with wax seal

Hi everyone! I have pretty BetterPress Christmas card to share today. All the products I used are part of the Sealed Pretty Christmas 3D collection released last month. This collection features a fun ribbon box, 3 new 3D wax seal stamps, a floral stems BetterPress plate, new silicone spoons, wax warmer and LOTS of new wax bead mixes and colors!
I made 3 Ribbon Boxes using parts of this collection and if you missed them you can find them posted HERE.
SEALED POINSETTIA STEMS PRESS PLATE AND POINSETTIA 3D WAX SEAL

My card uses the gorgeous Sealed Poinsettia Stems press plate. I pressed it on Porcelain cotton card with the BetterPress black ink. I colored the image with Zig markers and added pops of red shimmer with a Glitter Brush markers.
For the sentiment, I foiled one of the sentiments from the press plate set and set it inside a blank wax seal made with the 1" circle wax seal stamp. I used the Must Have Christmas wax bead mix for my colors. There are 3 sentiments in the set that are sized and cut with a 1" circle die and I discovered they fit PERFECTLY in the blank wax seal!
For the envelope seal, I used the Poinsettia 3D Wax Seal stamp with the same Must Have Christmas bead mix and inked the raised images with the DecoColor Gold pen. AND if you work with wax seals, Spellbinders just started carrying the silicone spoons in a 2 pack and it's a MUST have to help get the wax out of your spoons!!

Sip Sip Hooray! Magical Color Changing cocktail card

Hi everyone! I have another delicious card to share today using the new collection by Spellbinders called Happy Hour and I love it all! Happy Hour features 5 die sets, 1 3D embossing folder, 1 sentiment BetterPress plate, and 1 BetterPress background plate with coordinating layering stencils and last but not least a new rectangles and label die set. 💖
If you missed my last card, you can check out the post HERE.

SUNSET IN A GLASS AND TROPICAL FLARE DIE SETS

My cards use the Sunset in a Glass and Tropical Flair die sets. I just love the shape of this glass, it's large enough to decorate in many ways. The set comes with dies to create a gorgeous sunset scene you have to check it out!
I wanted to come up with a fun fruity drink and my google search showed drinks called Magical Color Changing Cocktails. They are SO colorful and beautiful I had to recreate one 😍
The background is embossed with the now retired Orange Peeled Quilt 3D Embossing folder and I inked the edges with a little of the Peacock Feathers. The sentiment is from the Cheers Sentiment BetterPress plate from the collection and I foiled it with Matte Silver onto glossy black cardstock. The set has sentiments perfect for birthdays, meeting for drinks, Christmas and Halloween.

Spellbinders Playful Penguins Christmas card

Hi everyone! I have a fun Christmas critter card using the adorable Playful Penguins die set from Simon Hurley's latest collection from Spellbinders.
PLAYFUL PENGUINS AND LAYERING SNOWFLAKES DIE SET

The Playful Penguins die set features 3 penguins and a few accessories including hats, sweater and mittens, a wreath and gift. So cute! I used the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D embossing folder inked with some light blue in as the background. I have my 2 penguins on top of the largest snowflake from the Layering Snowflakes die set which is also from the collection.
I love the tiny pops of red I put in the bow and hat.
The fluff on their hats is from liquid applique! It's my favorite way to add a little wow factor!

Spellbinders Poppy Background press plate -Foiled and Reverse Foiled

Hi everyone! I'm back today sharing 2 more cards from the latest collection designed by Yana Smakula for Spellbinders called Yana's Poppies. This collection features this gorgeous poppy die and outline and a BetterPress background plate with coordinating stencil. If you missed my first post, you can check it out HERE.
YANA'S POPPIES AND BE BOLD BLOOMS DIE SETS

My card uses the Poppy Background BetterPress Plate with Coordinating stencils. This background is for the BetterPress, but I prefer to foil with these plates. I kept with the blue and maroon colors from my first card and used the Cobalt Blue foil with some bright maroon inks. I'm obsessed with this color combo!
I went old school and pulled out some of my 1.5" silk ribbon from my stash. I was looking through some older blog posts, saw a few cards with the big beautiful bows that were popular over 10 years ago an was inspired!
I foiled the A Little Message Sentiments press plates with matte silver foil and cut with the Emerald Cut Labels and Tags die set.

My second card uses the REVERSE foil of the background plate. I may actually love this more than the background! If you're not saving your foil sheets after foiling and trying it on a piece of white cardstock, you should be! Honestly, most of the reverse foiling I try are fails, but this one is a winner!

Foiling with BetterPress Plates and Trying New Metallic Watercolors

Hi everyone! I tried a little something different for these cards. I foiled a BetterPress plate! I've seen other crafters do it with great success, so I tried it myself and it worked beautifully. At first I tried it with a shim and realized that I didn't need it. So if you have the Glimmer and fall in love with a BetterPress plate, go for it! You can used it like a glimmer plate!
I glimmered on dark cardstock and used some new metallic watercolors to color them. I love the sparkle and shine with these metallic watercolors. Check them out.

SEALED FLORALS PRESS PLATE

I used the Sealed Florals press plate (from the Pressed Posies collection) for both of these cards. I glimmered on black cardstock with gold foil and on navy cardstock with matte silver foil. I use white cardstock for 85% of my cards, so branching out with dark colors was really out of my comfort zone. I even considered not posting them, I just really love crisp white cardstock. But in the end, I liked these well enough to share.
On a whim I purchased a metallic watercolor paint palette by Arteza from Amazon and it sat on my desk a good long time until I got the idea to glimmer on dark cardstock. While I do love the shimmery effect, I was a little disappointed on how the colors showed up on cardstock and I was hoping for more pink and green options in the palette. I didn't realize these were heavy on the iridescent which shows up different then in the pan. But this image doesn't have much to color and I think all and all they turned out pretty.
I foiled the press plate with matte silver foil on to navy cardstock. Then I matted the navy panel to matte silver cardstock and then onto a white card base. The "hello" sentiment die came from the Wonderful Script Sentiments die set. I love that the wispy font goes with the tall stems of the flowers! I added a few small silver pearls, a piece of twine and some silver splatter for the final touches.
This card uses matte gold foil and I used one of the new Must-Have Wax Bead mixes in Pink. I love the mix of wax beads in this set. 3 shades of pink and some gold. Perfection! The wax seal is from my stash.
Like my other card, I matted the black panel to matte gold cardstock and die cut the sentiment from the same. I added a few gold gems to the large flower center and added some gold splatter as finishing touches.

Thinking of you Blue Poppies

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a card from the latest collection designed by Yana Smakula for Spellbinders called Yana's Poppies. This collection features this gorgeous poppy die and outline and a BetterPress background plate with coordinating stencil.
YANA'S POPPIES AND BE BOLD BLOOMS DIE SETS

The die set is called Yana's Poppy and is filled with tons of details. I wanted to add a bit of fluff to the poppy bloom so I used a few die cuts from Be Bold Blooms.
I was cleaning out my 6x6 paper pads and stumbled on Morning Memories by Paper Rose and just HAD to use it. It's an older paper pad and I wanted to get 1 more card from it before I donated what little I had left.
From what I understand, blue poppies are kinda rare and hard to grow, but they sure look stunning in paper! I love how this turned out!

Christmas Martinis? Yes please!

Hi everyone! I have 2 fun cards to share today. There is a fabulous new collection by Spellbinders called Happy Hour and I love it all! Happy Hour features 5 die sets, 1 3D embossing folder, 1 sentiment BetterPress plate, and 1 BetterPress background plate with coordinating layering stencils and last but not least a new rectangles and label die set. 💖
MARTINI OLIVE AND CHRISTMAS COCKTAILS DIE SETS

My cards use the Martini Olive and Christmas Cocktails die sets. There are so many cute elements in the Christmas Cocktails set I had to make an extra card with the extras! I mean, look how cute these are 😍 The santa belt? The packages? Candy pieces? All adorable!
The background is embossed with the Argyle Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and I inked it lightly with some minty green ink. The sentiments on both are from the Cheers Sentiment BetterPress plate from the collection. It has sentiments perfect for birthdays, meeting for drinks, Christmas and Halloween.

BOO Happy Haunting with distress oxide background

Hi everyone! I have a fun Halloween card to share today. Spellbinders has a Halloween collection called Happy Haunting. This collection features 3 die sets, 1 BetterPress plate, 1 wax seal stamp and several wax bead colors and mix. If you're a Halloween fan, check it out!
WITCHIN' HEELS DIE SET AND BOO! 3D WAX SEAL

My card uses the adorable Witchin' Heels die set with an ink blended background. I don't ink blend often and I really had to lean in with a heavy hand. The wax seal is the Boo! 3D seal stamp and I used the Halloween Must Have Wax Bead Mix. I added some gold metallic pen to the ghost and I love how it pops against the 3 colors!
I used some black glitter foam for the witch hat, shoes and broom bristles. The pumpkin uses gold glitter cardstock that I inked to be orange. I added small bats and stars from other sets in my stash.
Sentiment tip: I didn't have any Halloween sentiments so I looked at old sentiment die sets I had and took the letters from "happy birthday" and "hello" and created BOO!

Christmas treat boxes -3 designs

Hi everyone! I just love giving out treat boxes to my neighbors during the holidays and Spellbinders has released a fun new treat box die called the Ribbon Box. The ribbon box is part of the Sealed Pretty Christmas 3D collection released this month. This collection features this ribbon box, 3 new 3D wax seal stamps, a floral stems BetterPress plate, new silicone spoons, wax warner and LOTS of new wax bead mixes and colors.
You run the die 2 times, fold along the score lines and combine them together. Each of my boxes uses strips of patterned paper from the Handmade Holidays paper pad along with ribbons and string from my stash.
Here are the boxes I made:
This box uses a few die cut pieces from the Handmade Holidays cardmaking kit and some fancy ribbon. You can also purchase the die cuts separately (linked below).
The boxes measure 2.5" square with an assembled height of 4.5" including the handle. My red box is decorated with a few die cuts from the Christmas Cocktails die set (from the Happy Hour collection), more fancy ribbon and a sentiment from the Handmade Holidays cardmaking kit.
My last box uses one of the 3 new Christmas themed wax seals released this month! This one is Evergreen Joy 3D wax seal stamp. I used Pearl White wax beads and inked the raised images with the DecoColor Gold pen. AND if you work with wax seals, Spellbinders just started carrying the silicone spoons in a 2 pack and it's a MUST have to help get the wax out of your spoons!!
These small treat boxes are perfect for gifting a few homemade candies, gift cards and small things like lip balm. One of the things I really like about this treat box is the way the top connects, it has quite a bit of wiggle room with the inner flaps, allowing for slightly taller items like nail polish. I love how these turned out

A Little Hello Landscape Roses card

Hi everyone! I've been out of town and doing lots of summer stuff and it's been a minute since I made a card, so it felt good to get back to my craft room! I have a fun card to share today. I love anything to do with my favorite flower the rose, so when I saw the Landscape Rose die set from Susan Tierney-Cockburn's newest collection, I had to have it!
There are many varieties of these roses, but one of the most pretty are the white with pink tips, so I used that variety in my design.
LANDSCAPE ROSE DIE SET AND STARSHINE BACKGROUND DIE

I used my new favorite cover plate die, the fabulous Starshine Background die for the background and there are tiny holes in the design, just enough to see some pink show through from the matting layer. So pretty!!
To make the flowers I inked the edges with 2 shades of pink ink and kept the centers white and used a light yellow for the stamens with a touch of orange on the tips. I use Susan Tierney-Cockburn's flower dies from time to time and I always watch her videos first. You can find them on the product page.
I also bought her Flower Mold Tray and her Ultimate Tool Kit and they have been really helpful. Definitely look into it if you struggle to make these detailed flowers.
These roses are pretty thick, so I will not mail this card. It's definitely a hand deliver only situation. I love how it turned out!
