Cricut Mermaid card

I will be posting a bunch of random cards to my blog in the next few days for different situations.

This mermaid card is for the Cricut challenge
Under the Sea at
The mermaid die-cut was cut out using my Cricut

The purple flower in her hair is an epoxy sticker.

The pearls are by Want 2 Scrap. I colored them in with my Copic markers.

The patterned paper is by Die Cuts with a View (hair), Recollections (Red dry embossed) Bo Bunny (polka dot), and a recycled store-bought card (bottom piece)

I'm taking a class at Online Card Classes and will have a bunch of those cards coming out.

Non traditional Christmas Colors Ornament cards

I do love this embossing folder by Spellbinders and yet I rarely use it
I used small stamps on the inside of the dry embossed pattern.

The tree ornament stamp is unknown as it was a donated image
The pearls on the side are by Want 2 Scrap

For this pink and yellow non-traditional colored ornament, I matted the image onto Spellbinder dies. I found this huge bow that was already tied that matched. It's so thick that I had to use a glue gun to secure it.
Patterned paper by K and Co

Can you imagine getting a card so bright? I've had that tag for a while and wanted to finally use it.

The die-cut tag is from my stash.
I stamped it and heat embossed it
I then added a crazy color combination with distress ink.

I finally matched it up but it is loud and colorful.
The patterned paper is by Die Cuts with a View and October Afternoon

Ariel mermaid card

My friend loves The Little Mermaid. This one was for her.

I used stamps by:
 Ariel stamp is by Inkadinkado
The rocks stamp is by Lawn Fawn
Both stamps were colored with Copic markers
The musical notes background stamp is by Hero Arts. And heat embossed in a light purple on a project life card.
The sentiment just for you is by Fiskars and the Princess is unknown. It was heat embossed in silver and inked with distress ink and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.
Ariel is on a Spellbinders label die cut that I inked the inside with distress ink before taking the paper out of the die. The matching rhinestone frame is by Want2Scrap
I bought the wave dies on eBay. I inked them with distress ink.

This is just a picture of the stamped background on a grid lined Project Life card.

Recycled Scrapbook Border for Birthday cards

I used this border on a scrapbook page or maybe it was a calendar that I ended up taking apart. The border is patterned paper by EchoPark that is adhered to orangish cardstock by Sunborn. The off white cardstock bases have been sprayed with a few different colors of Glimmer Mist. The sentiments are Spellbinders die cuts. I added the K and Co butterfly sticker to the top card and rhinestones by Want 2 Scrap on the bottom card.

Birthday Butterfly ATC's

For my ATC's today I made the background with a bunch of different dies that I already had cut out by Sizzix. The stamps are by Stampin Up, Sizzix, Recollections and TPC Studio. Ink by Colorbox, Stamp It and Hero Arts. The pearls are by Forever In Time and the rhinestones by Want 2 Scrap.

The butterfly in the first card was colored in with Peerless watercolors mixed with water and Stickles. I popped it up with some foam by Tiny Crafts. There are two patterned papers and they are both by Recollections.

The second butterfly was colored in with the same except instead of Stickles I mixed in white Perfect Pearls. The second ATC is has been dry embossed the old fashion way with a metal stencil, stylus and a light board.

Mr. and Mrs.

Today I have another ring card for you. You can see the first one I posted HERE. The diamond is a Sweet Stamp Shop stamp however they no longer sell it. I think that you could use THIS one by Ellen Hutson or THIS die set or Lawn Fawn has a new stamp set.

The actual ring is silver heat embossed white cardstock that I did a Jennifer McGuire trick by taking the Versa Mark ink pad and patting it onto white cardstock in a large enough area to fit my circle punches. I then punched a small circle first and then a larger circle just outside the small circle to make a ring. I used punches by Creative Memories and EK Success.

The background is a Hero Arts stamp that I heat embossed with silver embossing powder also by Hero Arts. The scalloped circles dies are by Spellbinders and the white pearls are by Want 2 Scrap. The border on the bottom is Recollections cardstock and a Tim Holtx border die. The purple pearls on the bottom are by Eyelet Outlet. The sentiment is patterned paper by The Paper Studio. I erased the edges to make appear dreamier then just regular old silver.

May God Bless You on this Day

This is another one of the wedding cards I made for my craft show back in November. I made a ton of them and it worked out to be my biggest sellers. This card uses a dollar bin stamp from Michael's which I think means it is by Studio G. I stamped it with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with Stamp N Stuff embossing powder. I cut the circle out with the Creative Memories cutting system. I die cut the grey and sage dies out with my Cricut and the Lacy Labels cartridge. The sentiment stamp is unknown (I can't find that stinker anywhere) and I stamped it with a discontinued Stampin Up ink onto Making Memories patterned paper. The grey patterned paper is by The Paper Studio with the sage and grey cardstock by Recollections. The heart dies are dies by Lawn Fawn and the pearls are by Want 2 Scrap.

Congratulations

My card today uses two stamps by Stampendous. First the bride and groom have been stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with platinum embossing powder by Ranger. I die cut the image out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside of the die with distress ink. The second is the sentiment stamp that I decided to do the same heat embossing as the image. I hadn't planned on that but I loved the look. The patterned paper is in the background is unknown but the gold paper that I used on the border is by Creative Memories. (I kind of hoard the gold paper and didn't want to "waste" on just any project but I'm trying to overcome that "I have to keep it" problem. It's a work in progress.) To finish the card I used a border punch by EK Success and I added a small pearl in the center of the design. The pearls are by Want 2 Scrap.

Love Brought You Together as Husband and Wife

I have a wedding card to share today. This one uses a bell stamp by The Embossing Company. The date on it is 1993 which would make this my oldest stamp. I heat embossed it with Versa Mark ink and Stamp N Plus gold embossing powder. The image is on Ranger watercolor paper and was colored in with distress inks and a water pen. I die cut the bells out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with Squeezed Lemon distress ink.

The yellow border is a die cut by Cricut using the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge {Latice Border 1x11} and I've added a pearl by Want 2 Scrap in the center of each middle opening. The yellow cardstock is by Recollections and the peach cardstock is by 3 Bugs in a Rug. The background paper is a light glitter paper but I'm not sure of the manufacturer since I've had it for eons. The sentiment is a Stamping Scrapping stamp stamped with black Hero Arts ink. I matted the longer part of the sentiment with gold cardstock and used heart dies by Lawn Fawn to pull it all together.

Birthday Blessings

Today's card features another one of those dimensional flowers that I love to make. This one has been distressed with distress ink and water. Then after I formed the flower I covered the edges with red Stickles to make it sparkle. The center is a piece of jute that I looped four times and adhered it behind the stamped circle. The center stamp is by American Crafts and has been embellished with a brown rhinestone by Want 2 Scrap. The patterned paper is by October Afternoon and the sentiment stamp is by Stamping Scrapping in brown Stampin Up ink.

Happy Day Wedding card

Today's card is a fun wedding card that I made for the recent craft show I was in. I die cut the grey, coral and white dies from my Cricut using the cartridge Lacy Labels.
The coral paper is unknow but the grey  is by The Paper Studio and the white by Recollections. The image of the bride and groom is a stamp by Stampendous. I heat embossed it with Versa Mark ink and silver embossing powder by Hero Arts. I punched the image out with a EK Success circle punch and thought it needed something behind it to set it apart from the other white cardstock. So I added a silver cardstock circle behind it.

The background paper for this card is by Making Memories. The border in the middle is a Martha Stewart punch out of Color-Aid paper. The ribbon in the middle of the borders is by Offray. The sentiment is also a Stampendous stamp that is stamped with Hero Arts ink. I added some pearls by Want 2 Scrap to the die cut.

** Don't forget about my birthday giveaway. Leave a comment for your chance to win. It ends this Sunday, November 29th at noon EST.**

Be Thankful

Here I am again using that same leaf die by Spellbinders. I think you should all go out and buy it because I've given you three ways to use it. For this card, I die cut, embossed, and stenciled the leaf with off-white cardstock by Recollections and distress ink by Ranger. Then I stamped a Deep Red Stamp Tree Bark Background with Colorbox burnt orange pigment ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. Then I wanted it a little bit more orangish so I rubbed on some copper Perfect Pearls. The tree bark stamp can be found at A Cherry on Top or Scrapbook.com.

For the sentiment, I inked up the stamp by Inkadinkado with multiple colors of Colorbox ink and stamped it onto off-white cardstock. Then I used the CM Cutting System to make the sentiment an oval and inked the edges with distress ink. The orange cardstock is by Bo Bunny and the others are scraps from my stash. I added some Want 2 Scrap pearls by the sentiment.

Deep Red Stamps Red Shaker Card

I'm bringing a shaker card to the blog for you today. The background stamps is a crochet design by Deep Red Stamps.

You can find the stamp at

I stamped it in red ink by Stampin Up and set it aside while I set up the shaker card. I used a Spellbinders die for the shaker window and I happened to have the Nestabling by Want 2 Scrap to match it. I filled the shaker in with gold sequins in a flower design and circle. I poured in these really small little balls that can be uncontrollable at times. I also filled in with Craft Medley red sequins in different shades of red and there may be some red glitter in there too

. Then to finish up the card I adhered some thick seam binding in red around the bottom and some Martha Stewart gold floss around and into a bow. The hello sticker at the bottom is by Pebbles.

Hero Arts Flower card

Today's card uses a background stamp by Hero Arts. I heat embossed the image with white embossing powder. Then using an ink blending tool I brought in the distress ink colors yellow, pink, and green. It's such a pretty pattern that it doesn't take much to make the card like this shine. The sentiment stamp is unknown but the yellow cardstock is by Bazzill with a Lifestyle Crafts die. I embellished with Want 2 Scrap rhinestones.

Wedding Bell Card

My card today is a wedding card because that is where we were yesterday. The bell stamp is by Stampin Up onto watercolor paper by Ranger. {I wasn't sure where I was going with this card when I started so that is why it was stamped on watercolor paper.} I stamped the bell with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder by Hero Arts. Then I die cut the bell out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with distress ink. I don't know who the papers are by but I know the rhinestone flourish is by Want 2 Scrap, the rub-on sentiment is by Pebbles and the glitter tape at the bottom is by American Crafts.

Pretty plain and simple today. Thanks for looking.

Dreamweaver Stencils Feather

I'm up early this morning. I couldn't sleep anymore. Maybe there will be a nap in my future. My card today features a Dreamweaver Stencils feather stencil. I secured the stencil in place onto watercolor paper and inked the image with a Versa Mark ink pad. I covered the image with silver embossing powder by Stampendous and heat set it. I inked the cardstock with distress ink and sprayed it with Perfect Pearls mixed with water. The sentiment is a Stampendous stamp with black ink by Hero Arts. The side border is by Sizzix and the rhinestones in my card are by Want 2 Scrap. The black base is cardstock by Recollections.

Sassy Studio Wings

Today is Thursday and that means there is a new challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. This week's challenge is
Things with Wings

I'm using the Praying Portrait for my card today. I printed her out onto Cryogen cardstock and colored her in with Copic Markers. Then I fussy cut her out and foam adhered her to a Spellbinders die cut. The flower paper is by My Mind's Eye and the yellow polka dot is from my stash. The butterflies are a punch by Creative Memories with a Want 2 Scrap pearl in the middle of each of them. The sentiment is a die cut by Clearly Besotted that I covered with Stickles. I also put Stickles on the lips and eyelids of my image.
