January 2025 Virtual Crop with Mel

Hello and welcome to the last class of the January 2025 Virtual Crop. This class gave me a nice chance to look back at some of our favourite memories from Christmas and get some of them scrapped. For some reason I am terrible about getting my festive photos scrapped... I think it is because by the time I get around to printing them I am not feeling at all Christmassy so this class gave me a bit of a push to get them done.

I've made three layouts with this kit although when I came to add the blog post I realised that one of them is a similar concept to one of Debs' from last month but who doesn't love a circle bauble layout?!

Your instructions can be found HERE in the 2025 Virtual Crop Google Drive Folder

Don't forget to share your layouts over on the ATDML # Create Facebook Page!

December virtual Crop Class with Debs

Seasons greeting all, hope you are all happy and warmth and enjoying the festivities with those closest to you.

We'll be creating super simple pages in this final class, using Photoplay's Holly & Ivy collection. The aim is to get your festive photos off your phone/camera and into your scrapbook.

Instructions can be found here.  Please pop into the ATDML#Create FB group to share your layouts with us - we love seeing your take on the classes.

December V|irtual Crop Class with Ann

Happy December to you all and hoping you had a fun, festive time. My class today is perfect to scrap those seasonal memories from 2024 or another year and features papers from Simple Stories and a whopping ephemera pack! I have made 3 pages but you've plenty to create more. I plan on adding my photos to the photo mounts on the pages as I designed these earlier in December ready to add pictures from this year.

You can find the istructions on the Google Drive LINK HERE and if you don't have the kit then scraplift along with your own papers.
Enjoy!

December Virtual Crop Class with Ann

How utterly stunning are the P13 papers in this month's December kit class of mine? I love the traditional colours and old world feel to them and they work with black and white and softer coloured photos. I made two layouts and still have supplies left for more and have plans for a circular layout using those fab circle stickers.

You can fund the instructions on our Facebook group this month under files and  I hope you enjoy them and have time to play over the holidays.

Wishing you all a happy scrappy day and a happy Christmas with your loved ones. Take lots of photos!!

December Virtual Class With Karen

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas. I hope your plans are progressing well and you are almost ready for whatever you and and yours do for the big day. Our Christmases tend to be very quiet, although this year the joy will be added with the two cats - I can no longer justify calling them kittens - who will be enjoying their first proper Christmas. (last year they arrived two days before Christmas and so were still too timid to enjoy the festivities)

My class this month uses the gorgeous Graphis 45 Joy to the World collection. Graphic 45 papers are so thick and luxurious they are a joy to play with and - I am afraid to say - they do lend themselves so well to fussy cutting.

I have three class pages for you to do and there is loads and loads left over too.

This is one of the pages

I hope you enjoy the class and please do share your makes in our facebook group.

You can find the instructions in the facebook group.

I wish you all the blessings of the Christmas season

Festive Christmas with VB Warm Wishes

We had such fun at our Christmas crop last week that I wanted to scrap the photos straight away.  With an abundance of VB Warm Wishes goodies from the shop I knew it was going to be just as much fun making this layout which mostly uses the bauble paper and then a mix of alpha stickers for the title letters.

I also dug out my needle and thread and stitcked around the baubles once added to the page and love this simple detail. You easily replicate this with circles punched from your own choice of papers and a bauble top detail added.

January Sketch Challenge

Welcome 2021 and welcome to another year of inspiration from your atdml design team.

We'll be having a monthly sketch challenge to start and there will be an album for you to share your pages over on our Facebook page.

I'm kicking off the challenge for January with this sketch and my layout example. Look forward to seeing you all joining in and filling the gallery with your memories.

I used Pink Fresh Studio Oh What Fun and some Cocoa Vanilla Christmas papers too over a star stencil background using texture paste.

December Virtual crop with Tricia - Bo Bunny Winter wishes

Good morning Campers and welcome to the last class of the day.

I'll be using Bo bunny 'Winter wishes' collection to scrap some Christmas events both old and new!

The papers are full of icy greys and blues and frosty pinks, perfect for this time of year.  We are teaming them up with some chipboard snowflakes and white alphas which are perfect for customising to match your layout.

For the first layout I have created 15 decorated baubles to showcase my photos from our Christmas tree farm visit.  I doodled on each bauble to make them unique but if baubles don't work for you pick another shape like stars or hearts.

On the second layout I have created pine cone trees with snowflakes.  It's a great opportunity to make them your own.

Happy Christmas and have a great Hogmany!

December Virtual Crop class with Ann & G45

Welcome to you all on this out last virtual crop of 2020.  We hope you will join in when you can be that today or at somepoint over the Christmas period.

My class todays uses Winter Wonderland papers from G45 in traditional festive colours of red and green. Whilst these papers can be intimidating if you are a "less is more" scrapbooker or have a more graphic style like myself but hopefully you can be inspired either by the papers themselves or my two pages.

You will have lots left for more pages too and we hope you will share them with us.

Instructions for my two layouts can be found >> here <<.

Merry Christmas to you all, whatever that may look like this year.

Stay safe x

December Virtual Crop Class with Ann and Claus & Co

Come join me today and get your festive cheer on with this wonderfully seasonal class where I have made two layouts, a home decor frame and a minibook from one of my favourite kits ever!

Both layouts I made in under an hour so you have plenty of time to fit this in over the holidays if you don't have the time today.

As always instructions are available to download HERE. I hope you enjoy getting in the spirt of the season with this one! Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Scrappy last virtual crop day/class for 2019.

December Virtual Crop - Katherine with Websters Pages Royal Christmas

Hello everyone and wishing you and your families all a super Christmas.

I've made 3 pages with the kit for you (here is the first) - all quite straight forward as it's a busy time of year....you can add some flicks of paint if you wish but it is totally optional.  The pages are all made from a 6" pad so could easily be adapted to a non-Christmas theme too - even the holly wreath...think flowers or stars or gears - the possibilities are endless!

I hope you enjoy creating, do as always share your creations over on our Facebook page ATDML#Create as we would love to see them.

Merry Christmas.

There are three layouts in the class and this is just one of them.

Click Here for your full instructions and the other two layouts

Come back at 12pm and 2pm for our other two festive classes and don't forget to pop over to the ATDML # Create Facebook page to share what you have been up to.

January 2019 Virtual crop class 2 with Tricia

Good morning campers

I hope you all are well and enjoyed the new year celebrations.

I've been using Graphic 45 'St Nicholas Collection' today.  This range is steeped in traditional Christmas styles with nods towards Victorian Christmas cards.  However, throughout the class, I have brought some modern touches.

The first layout has elements of Christmas light displays to add sparkle and shine to the layers of traditional colours in the greens and gold.

Layout 2 - 25th of December takes you back to homemade paper garlands and rows of Christmas cards hanging on cardholders.

Finally, we have a bonus layout.  With 80's style, geometric designs and a shower of delicious peppermints for that candy cane feel.

Challenge yourself to use elements from your papers in new and unusual ways and let us see what you have created over on the Facebook page.

Thanks for playing along today and come back to join us at 2pm for our last class of the day with Debbie.

Have fun!

Scraplift Santa - Christmas Lights

Dolly here with another scraplift santa that I hope might get you scrapping over the festive period.

I used to find it hard to get good night shots of lights - crucial when it is Christmas - but with the phones these days they do take beautiful night pictures with little fuss. Hopefully over the festive season you will get some great pictures of the wonderful Christmas lights in your home and your area.

I love pages which use two 4" x 6"  photos that compliment each other because, whether they are portrait of landscape, they are so easy to scrap when they are a pair.

This page uses up some scraps. When you are putting papers behind photos and they are not seen you can often cheat and use up bits which, when put together, look like a much bigger piece of pretty paper, and I do so like to use up my scraps.

I used two different patterned papers from the Simple Stories Merry and Bright collection - the Christmas trees an the lovely floral paper.

The green dotted papers used for accents across the page is the reverse of the Christmas Tree paper (don't you love double sided papers)

I added some strips from the Graphic 45 Christmas Magic collection, and that is where the stamp came from too..

I kept the page simple - my pages always are I'm afraid - and just added punched circles with trees cut from the paper and decorated with tiny red enamel dots.

The title was stamped using two different sets of stamps.

Have fun with taking pictures of Christmas lights this year and I can't wait to see what you scrap.

Scrap lift Santa - Katherine and Layers

Hello everyone and welcome to another Scrap lift Santa page.  This one is a little messy,  with lots of die cuts and the Kaisercraft Letters to Santa collection with it's beautiful poinsettias.

I started the page with some gesso, and then stuck some art pebbles into the paint, adding some gold mist.  I layered up lots of the papers and then cut the Kaisercraft stickers into individual flowers - the sticker set has a huge banner of poinsettias.  I die cut some leaves from a mix of red and green papers in the range, layering them up, adding gauze and more stickers underneath.  So really just stickers and layers!

I like how you can see all the layers through the leaf die cuts.

I used a mix of spraying mist on the page and then adding some drips.  The gesso helps the mist to sit on top of the paint.

The title comes from some Pebbles Thickers made for Patio Party, but the woodgrain fits perfectly with this winter range.

I hope that has encouraged you to find your inner messy and dig out some paints for a scrap lift.  Do check out the gallery as there is lots more inspiration in there too.

Wishing you and all your family a lovely Christmas and New Year.

Katherine

December Virtual Crop with Ann

Happy Sunday crafty ones and welcome to your last virtual crop for 2018. I am up first today, a day later due to our Wednesday/Saturday Scraplift Santa posts for the month of December.

If you managed to get a kit go gran that now, otherwise I think if you have some other festive papers you could creative very similar pages, or indeed non-festive papers would also work treating the layouts at sketches rather than explicitly following along.

There are two layouts in the class plus a bonus project and the instructions can be found HERE.

Pop back at Noon for a class with Katherine and then Tricia closes the virtual crop classes for today and 2018 at 2pm.

Scraplift Santa - more festive inspiration from Ann

You don't always need Christmas papers or winter papers to make a seasonal layout. Grabbing a generic striped background, in this instance grey and white then adding a couple of seasonal stamps and some mist I've shown you can get seasonal without a themed paper.

Why don't you have a dig through what you have, find some stamps you've perhaps not used for a while and see if you can Scraplift Santa Ann. And did you see I used small asterix Thickers to make snowflakes? Another Scraplift tip for you!

If you don't fancy a snowflakes and wintery themed layout for this challenge swap for brighter colours and stars or flowers.

Our Facebook gallery is HERE  if you decide to join in any of the Scraplift Santa Challenges we have been posting. See you again on Saturday when our next challenge is up

Scraplift Santa Sketch Saturday

Dolly here and as always the second Saturday in the month sees a sketch from me and of course this time it has a Santa Scraplift twist.

First off here is your sketch for December.

Having been to Disney last Christmas I have so many photos I will be scrapping them for years. This is what I made from the sketch.

The Simple Stories Merry and Bright papers were perfect for the photo of the gingerbread family at Celebration. It's a really simple page just using cardstock in two colours and some of the gorgeous papers.

I really wanted a circle and I wanted it to be scalloped. It's a really easy effect to achieve. Cut your large circle and then in a contrasting colour punch a lot of circles and cut them in half. Slip them under the main piece all around the edge and, voila, a really cute scalloped circle. I made the scallop more prominent by dotting around the edges.

The title block is from Simple Stories Merry and Bright too. I added some die cuts and stickers and to finish off I made a little bunting banner and stamped a decorative edge around the page.

It is really a very simple page and I hope it might inspire you to scraplift something similar.

Scraplift Santa - An advent calendar with Ann

Welcome to December 1st, the start of advent and of the most festive of times with your ATDML design team. Every Saturday and Wednesday this month one of the team will play Santa and pop up a crafty project to inspire some crafting this holiday season. There are no kits, no instructions, no rules, just images and the blog posts.

Today I am Santa and as it is the first of the month I thought I would create an advent calendar for you. This was made from 2 chipboard coasters and 24 plain matchboxes which were assembled into towers of three and then fixed together to form two blocks of twelve boxes which were adhered together, sandwiched between two covered coasters.

I have added a few images which hopefully show how this came together which was really simple once you got going.

The matchboxes were a bit flimsy when I got them but I covered the left and right side of each stack of three in a piece of the Kaisercraft Wonderland papers to hold them more securely. Then each door was covered in a number cut from the Wonderland foiled advent paper and a coordinating brad added which acts as a knob to pull the drawers open.

Here are a few more images of the sides and the top which was decorated with wooden tiles spelling out advent.

I appreciate you may not be inclined to copy this exactly but an advent inspired page is a good compromise for the challenge, or if you really want to challenge yourself you could make all the boxes from scratch (and not used ready made blank matchboxes like I did!)

We have created an album over on Facebook for you to share your projects or you can add a link in the comments section of the relevant blog post - the choice is yours.
