Slowly Catching Up

Here is my 'Storm at Sea' from week 28. I decided to make it using the paper piecing method. There was a pattern on the site, but after being warned by Kathy, I measured and found that it would not give me a 12inch block. So I got out my drafting paper and made my own paper piecing pattern. It worked, but this thing took me a long time to do, maybe 1 1/2 to 2 hours!
I would love a quilt made using this block, but I don't think I have the patience for it.

Week 28 - The Storm

It's raining here today. Hopefully it will give us some relief from the incredibly hot temperatures we've been having. I forgot to close the skylight in my kitchen last night, so I had a small flood in my house this morning. Therefore I thought this week's block was fitting.
It's called 'Storm at Sea' - a very traditional block, but I don't think we have done it yet. It's 12 inches for those who are trying to assemble 12in. blocks.
Enjoy!
