What! No Tinsel!!

Hello Friends

Wow!  The last Wednesday before Christmas.  I cannot join in on WOYWW today as there is far too much on my desk that I don't want peeps to see, as I do have a few friends who may peep and see something I don't want them to.  I will join next week for the "after" shot!!

I thought I would show you two cards I have recently made using my lovely new Artistic Stamper stamps that were crying out to be stamped.  I needed to make a Thank You card for a very dear friend of mine and a Birthday card for Hubby's cousin.  I used the same idea but with slight variations.

I used Papermania papers which were in a pack I had some time ago, some Snippets of black cardstock which I ran through the TH embossing folder and then brushed over with Treasure Gold wax.  I punched some more cardstock with my EK Success punch, added some lace and used Kaisercraft flowers.  Yep!  I do sometimes use bought flowers instead of making them.

Some of the flowers were stamped with my TH text stamp.  The mini tags were made using another TH die and stamped with Docrafts and SU stamps. I popped brads in the centre of the flowers and hey presto I had a pair of nice cards. The inks used are Coffee Archival and Distress Inks in Vintage Photo.  It was very refreshing not to have any glitter on them!

Thanks for popping by in amongst the mayhem of pre-Christmas.  I am hoping that by Friday night I will have finished all Christmas projects so that I can finish decorating the house and then relax over the weekend.  Yeah right!!

It's Spooky Night....Beware!

Hello Ghosts, Ghouls, Witches and Goblins everywhere and Welcome!!

As it is Hallowe'en today I thought I would share with you my latest creation!  It is a long picture heavy post so the cauldron is on, get yourself a cup of Poison, maybe grab a few Dragon's Breath cookies or some Frog Spawn pudding and take a peek. It is not like we are going to see too many Witches out and about tonight!  It is pouring down here so there will be many a fire damped down.  Hope you like....

A Maya Road Post Box which I ordered from USA about 4 years ago "just because" and have been gathering little bits and pieces and ideas waiting for the right time to make this box into something magical.

Be careful of the bottle of poison on the left.  The Owl at the back is keeping his beady eye on you too!
Some Roses made from the Tattered Pinecone die by Tim Holtz.

And no Hallowe'en project would be complete without a Haunted House complete with rusty railings.
And inside a little book of Potions ....
Notice the glow in the dark skeleton hiding on the ring?

The box was first painted black with acrylic paint dabber and then papered with flock papers from MME.

Home made Fimo Bats!

Here are the feet....two bottles of Witches Brew and two bottles of Hobgoblin Brew were drunk to create this project!  All in the name of Art don't you know?
I am going to enter this project into the following Challenges:-

CC101 - Holiday anything goes!
Snippets with Pixie- anything using snippets
Inspiration Emporium - Spooktacular Decorations

In my haste to post this project last night (technical issues - grrr) I forgot to post it into the Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp. whose challenge is Pearls.  Although the photos don't show them up very well, there are Perfect pearls on the book as well as all being sprayed with both Heirloom Gold and Forever Red liberally.  In fact my Craft room floor is glimmering right now!

Terry has very kindly let me know of another Challenge blog which I have not come across before, and I can pop this piece on there.  Please go and see them there is some fabulous Spooky work over there.  Link is HERE and it is Fashionable Stamping Challenges!

Off you go Trick or Treating and I hope you get lots of healthy treats!!  Honest!

Wahahahahahahaha!

Scrappy Tuesday on a Thursday

Hello there Lovely Crafting Peeps

Well, if you came by my blog on Tuesday expecting to see my Scrappy Tuesday post here it is now on a Thursday.  Hope you don't mind, but I wanted to post my Bees in My Garden canvas.

Here is this week's layout.  Yet another of one of the layouts I completed at the Penally Retreat back in March.  We were playing at doodling.  The photo was taken at the Churchyard at the Church where Hubby and I were married, and where Hubby's Daddy is buried.  I just love the way the sun is peeking through the snow on the branch.

Some punched out flowers with a little bit of stickles in the centres, some stamping on the ribbon and some doodling with the Inkessentials white pen.
Afraid I don't know the make of the patterned papers, but it was rather lovely with a pearlised reverse side.

Buzzzzzzz!! Scrapbook Layout

Good Evening Peeps

I thought that I would share with you another one of my layouts from the Retreat which I went to recently.  The subject is one of Hubby's Bees which he photographed in February last year.  The white in the background of the photograph are the snowdrops which were out at the time.  Hope you approve....

I am sorry I cannot tell you any details of the paper make but you may recognise them as some of the papers from which I created the Snippets for my card which I posted yesterday.

I hope you are having a great crafty weekend.  Today I attended a quilting workshop  where we worked on a block with a fabulous technique which I will, of course, share with you just as soon as it is finished enough for me to show you.

I understand the weather forecast for tomorrow is great if you are in a drought area and fantastic if you were thinking of having a crafting day!  What a shame!!  Guess you will find me in my room!!  (Yeay! Doing the Happy Dance!!!)
