Muse #291 + 25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 12, 13 and15

I have three tags to share inspired by Muse #291 and 25 Days of Christmas Tags.

Tracey's Muse tag is also featured on Day 12, and the inspiration for my first tag.

The MFT bears are stamped and masked so the Worn Lipstick and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks can be blended and splattered. I'm in love with this sky color!

A few soft Copic colors and Mama Elephant sentiment finish this tag off quickly.

For Day 13, it is Teri Anderson's peppermint drink that inspired me to pull out a coffee cup die and embossing folder.

A Hero Arts sentiment is stamped on the Memory Box die making this a super quick and simple tag.

For Day 15, Monica Taylor's stag head and use of patterned paper caught my eye.

I cut my stag head from patterned paper, taking care to line up the nose with a red flower. Keeping this one super simple, I stamped "to" and "from" on the back and left the front without a sentiment.

Muse #288

I've been going through some of my older stamp sets trying to decide whether it is time to let them go or keep them a little longer. PTI's Funky Florals is in the keep pile and was perfect for playing along with Laurel Beard's watercoloring with ink card as Guest Designer for Muse #288.

Laurel Beard Muse #288

I used the same ink and water technique as Laurel, although in a brighter color palette to compliment the sentiment.

When my trio of flowers was dry, the layering image is stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger Holographic Embossing powder.

The MFT smile die is cut from the flower panel, the inked portion of the sentiment stamped and the die cut layered and set back into the panel. A mix of jewels and enamel dots are added to finish of the card.

Muse #287 + FMS #359

My card was inspired by Kim's beautiful card for Muse #287 and the design of Freshly Made Sketches #359.

Kim's great sentiment came from Skip to My Lou, where I found a fun free printable tag to use as the sentiment on my card.

The Avery Elle Mother's Day image is stamped on the white panel and a scrap of paper. The images are colored with Copic markers and the center three flowers fussy cut from the second image.

The pink panel is adhered over the colored image, the sentiment panel popped up over that and then the flower trio added. This panel was then adhered to a pink card base and the sequins scattered around.

Twofer: Harvest + Muse #286 + CTD514 + Seize the Birthday AND MCV#110

I have three cards to share today. The first two were inspired by the Twofer Card Challenge #10: Harvest Challenge.

It is easy to see the Harvest connection with my sympathy card using the fall colors on the leaves. The lily on the birthday card is a bit more of a reach as I thought of planting fall bulbs to harvest spring and summer flowers.

Mama Elephant Freestyle Floral images and PTI Penned Elegance stamps are used on both cards.

Tracey's Muse #286 card inspired the rectangular wreath of leaves and buds. Copic markers in the Color Throwdown #514 colors filled in the sketchy shapes.

The sentiment is positioned first on the birthday card and then the floral images stamped and masked before being colored with Copic markers. The finished panel is popped up on a purple card base.

This card is being linked to Seize the Birthday where Anything Goes for the current challenge.

My third card is inspired by Cornelia's starry night for Muse ChristmasVisions #110, using the inked sky, trees and sentiment.

The Poppystamps Open Hillside and Snowscape dies are layered for this card. The sky piece of the Snowscape is inked with Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks before being adhered to the card base and the snowflakes inset back in place.

The PTI sentiment is stamped on the Open Hillside die cut before it is layered on the card base.

Muse #283

Kim created a beautifully colored card for Muse #283 this week.

Kim Heggins Muse #283

I thought about using elephants for my card, but the challenge of shading the gray color left me feeling a little intimidated so I pulled out this sweet, waving polar bear from MFT instead. I can handle striped scarves.

The two colored sentiment is stamped first, then the bears added and colored. A teal frame is added for a little more color and interest, echoing Kim's pink panel.

Muse #275 + Simon Says Dies

I'm avoiding some chores by playing in the office today after seeing Kim's card for Muse #275.

Kim Heggins Muse #275

Inspired by the color purple along with the coffee and donut theme, I came up with this clean and simple card.

I searched in vain for a purple and white polka dot paper to cut my Memory Box On the Go coffee cup, finally settling on a grid paper. It is cut on the diagonal for a little added interest.

The chocolate donut is pieced together with white frosting and purple micro bead "sugar" before being added to the panel.

The sentiment is from the Avery Elle We Go Together stamp set.

This card is also being linked to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where Simon Says  Use a Die and/or Punch.

MIM 326 + Muse 272 + JUGS 447

I started playing around with some ideas after watching Lexi's video for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday 326: Inchie Elements challenge and seeing Steffi's card as the guest designer for Muse #272.

My first attempt at the card included the sentiments and hearts stamped on one inch squares, but I wasn't happy with the results and rummaged around for a similar sized heart die. I hope this is still considered close enough to an "inchie element" for the challenge.

The heart die and outline stamp are from the Framed Out #11 Heart set and the sentiments and ampersand die are from the Grand Ampersand set.

A white panel is embossed with horizontal stripes and the raised stripes lightly inked in pink before the other elements are adhered. The white panel is then added to a pale pink card base.

I'm also linking this card to Just Us Girls Challenge #447: Wild Card Week where anything goes.

Muse #266 + Poppystamps Challenge #44 + Seize the Birthday

I've had the Poppystamps Challenge #44: Patterned Paper Please in the back of my mind all month and when I saw Tracey's sweet card for Muse #266 started working with the idea of making a patterned paper elephant.

I didn't get far with my elephant, so turned to another African animal and found greater success with my Poppystamps Giraffe Trio. The gray from the elephant inspired my card base, the square block from Tracey's design became a square cutout and I used a similar "wishing you" sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

The giraffes are adhered to the card base with glue dots for a bit of lift and the top panel adhered with foam tape.

I am also linking this card to Seize the Birthday in their Anything Goes category.

Muse #264 + FMS #335

Lynne's beautiful card as Guest Designer for Muse #264 and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #335 inspired this Mother's Day card.

Focussing on Lynne's flowers and colors, the bouquet from Avery Elle's Thanks a Bunch stamp set is paired with the So Happy sentiment on the scalloped oval panel.

Instead of highlighting my blooms with glossy accents, I used Wink of Stella and added a trio of Pretty Pink Posh jewels.

Muse #261 + Color Throwdown #488

The bright spring flowers in Tracey's Muse #261 design really caught my eye this week. I took the  floral spray and sentiment from her design and paired them with the Color Throwdown #488 colors.

The Avery Elle Mother's Day floral image is stamped on a white panel and colored with Copic markers. The top of the image is fussy cut and the rest of the panel trimmed with a stitched rectangle die before the hello sentiment from Avery Elle Brushed is finished with the PTI Simply Spring Borders spring stamp.

The stamped panel is popped up on an aqua polka dot patterned paper panel and a trio of Pretty Pink Posh jewels added to complete the card.
