Baby Braylee Katherine Buber is here!

She's here! My fiance's son and girlfriend had their baby girl. Before the details, I want to know something...just because I'm engaged to a man who just became a grandfather, does that make me a grandmother????? She couldn't have waited until the end of next week, then I would at least be 40!

Here are the details:

Born at 5:37 PM 12/2/10
Weighing at 4 lbs 13 oz
Measuring 21 inches

She's doing excellent, we were not able to hold her because she's a preemie and needed to stay on the warming blanket and under the heat lamp. But she took her 1st bottle in front of us with no problem.

Don't worry about the tubs in her nose, it's not pure oxygen, it's the same air in the room. She can breath on her own, they just have them in as a precaution due to premies lungs collapsing and the walls stick together. All it's doing is pumping the air in and out to keep her lungs constantly working.

Here's the card I made them:

Baby Formula:
CS: BB Brandywine, DCWV Glitter White & Silver
PPs: Heidi Grace Designs “Baby Girl/Buggy”, Colorbok “16972 Rose Stripe”, SEI “Chocolat”
Rub-ons: Cloud9 Memories
Cricut Cartridges: New Arrival – Buggy cut @ 5.5” with a shadow base
Misc: Rhinestones, Heart Button, Adhesive

Baby Announcements!

Hi there! This past week's challenge over at Bitten By the Bug was the flower frame from the Pooh & Friends cartridge. Unfortunately I do not have this one, which I should be sooo ashamed since I'm a huge Disney fan! I do have Pooh Fonts & Mickey Fonts but none of the other Disney carts, can't believe that! Anyway, so I asked my wonderful sweet friend (and fellow BBTB designer), Sharon to cut me one pink and one blue at 4" and she sent me all these wonderful options...shadow, white, etc. I was originally going to use self-adhesive pearls for the center of the flowers, but because Sharon being the sweetheart she is, the white flower frame went so beautifully over the blue one and then the shadow, so I left as is! So here's my take on the challenge this week. I'm going to show my SIL and see if she wants me to make her a bunch when she has my nephew (yes it's a boy!...we didn't know until Thurs, that is why I asked Sharon for one in pink and one in blue, didn't know what color theme I was going to go with). She's due in early February and we'll have fun going paper shopping as I would like her to pick them. :)

Also, please go over to the Bitten By the Bug site and see all the beautiful creations the rest of the designers did. Not to single anyone out but Sharon's is a beauty!

The baby bottle is from Doodlecharms which I cut at 8 1/8".

Baby Formula:
-DPS: Kaiser Scrapbook Cocco Series "Mocha" (both the striped side and the brown side) and Anna Griffin (don't know the name of the pattern)
-Fluid Chalk Inks: Colorbox "Cocoa" and "Dune"
-Computer fonts: scrapNfonts CK Bella (22 & 40 pts)
-Stickers: Deja Views Wonderful Words "Phrases*Expressions"
-Cricut Carts: Pooh & Friends "flower frame" cut at 4" by the lovely Sharon (also using the shadow and blackout features)
Doodlecharms for the baby bottle cut at 8 1/8" (don't ask me why I did that extra 1/8")

My 1st Challenge for Bitten By The Bug design team

Here's my creation for my 1st challenge as a Bitten By the Bug design team member. You must go over and check out what everyone else did, everyone did such an amazing job. It's so interesting to see all the different things you can do with one cut and to also see what other's creative minds came up with. Like I said everyone's creations are amazing!

The challenge was to create a project using the Train from the New Arrival cartridge (page 121) and here's what I did... (You can click on each image to see a larger view)

Sweet Baby of Mine

It's another week over at 2 Sketches 4 You and this week it's Kazan's sketch, which is her 3rd sketch (and what a sketch it is!).

And there is also a new contest over at Bitten By The Bug that gave me the opportunity to combine two challenges into one. The contest over at BBTB is something for a baby using brown as the primary color, have a heart somewhere on the project and use any cut from any of the Cricut cartridges!
