Someone turned 50 and a couple awards
Here's a card I made for one of my aunts that turned 50 although maybe she's not really 50 since she's a leap year baby ;p
I also rec'd 3 awards from some very very talented ladies that I will show you further down this post.
I love this Squeaky Baker from Whipper Snapper, he's so fun to color in with prismacolor pencils and gamsol:
Recipe:
-CS: DCWV “Smooth Poppy” and Bazzill Basics “Bitter Chocolate”
-PPs: SEI Chocolat Nougat
-Stamps: Whipper Snapper "Squeaky Baker"
-Prismacolor Pencils: PC943 Burnt Ochre, PC941 Light Umber, PC946 Dark Brown, PC929 Pink, PC924 Crimson Red, PC937 Tuscan Red, PC1034 Golden Rod, PC1003 Spanish Orange, PC1005 Limepeel, PC911 Olive Green and PC949 Metallic Silver
-Rub-ons: Scenic Route Paper Co "Birthday Rub-On Words"
-Blossoms: Prima Flowers Daisy Mix
-Cricut Cart: Celebrations for 50 tags cut at 2” and Lyrical Letters for Ann Marie cut at 2” and welded
-Misc: Adhesive, Gamsol
And onto the awards, this one I received from two very talented ladies, Stacey and Marina, please check out their blogs as they both are very inspirational. This award is something I would give them!
This award comes with rules, I have to I must share 7 exciting things about myself, which I can't really say I have anything exciting about myself, so I will incorporate this with the next award that has a similar rule. I also need to share this with award with 15 wonderful bloggers.
First I would give them back to Stacey and Marina and the other 13 go to these amazing ladies: Enfys Cashmore, Sharon Caudle, Carole Lowe Beath, Shelly Bobrowski, Regina Easter, Jane Sossie, Susan, Julie, Glee, Donna, Tracy, Kazan and Laura
The next award is also from Marina. She also gave me the Sunshine award that I've already received from another very talented and inspirational lady, Susan.
The rules to this one are to list 12 things about myself, here goes...
1. I’m engaged to an amazing man named Scott
2. I was born in upstate NY but raised in MA.
3. I LOVE the Twilight Saga
4. I’m also into the Harry Potter series
5. My favorite author is Dean Koontz (right now I'm reading his latest book, Relentless)
6. I miss being on the BBTB design team (when I left due to way too many things on my scheduled I had to stop crafting for awhile).
7. If I had to choose a food that I had to eat the rest of my life, it would be sushi
8. Last movie I saw in the theater was this weekend, which was Remember Me. I highly recommend it.
9. Favorite TV show right now is Private Practice
10. I love paper
11. I love so many rub-on, but hate trying to apply them
12. I would love to learn how to use Copics
Please leave a comment on my card, I love reading...

17th B-day Card and Laura & Kazan's brand new site 2 Sketches 4 You
Here's a card I made my boyfriend's son who just turned 17 and I used Kazan's sketch from her brand new site 2 Sketches 4 You with Laura. I'm very excited about this new blog, it has been created be two very very talented ladies, Laura Davis and Kazan Clark.
Unfortunately I only had time to do a card with Kazan's sketch. I love Laura's but I wasn't able to get it done in time, but still plain on using it and letting her know when I do.
So, anyway, here's A.J.'s 17th b-day card:
Recipe for this creations:
-CS: The Paper Company Dark Blue, Classic Red, Gingersnap and White
-DPs: Provo Craft "Stars" and Unknown "Baseballs"
-Stamps: Inkadinkado's "Handmade With Love" and Catslife Press "Don't Even Think About...
-Fluid Chalks by Colorbox: Dune, Cocoa & Merlot
-Cuttlebug: Happy Birthday Embossing Folder
-Stickers: Jolee's Boutique "Red Sox" and Paperbilities Accent's mini 3D Embellishment Stars
-Stickles: Burgundy, Yellow & Turquoise
-Cricut Carts: Doodletype, Celebrations, Doodlecharms, TBBM and Cuttin' Up
-Misc rhinestones and fonts and clip art

Altered Over the Hill? card for the Cricut "Show us your Best" contest
As some of you must already know Cricut had a "Show us your Best" contest in which the winner gets 3 carts of their choice and their project will be featured in the next Cricut infomercial. So...I took the design of the card that I had the most fun making and coincidently the most carts used! In the original design I used 5 carts but I decided to make some changes to this version which I ended up adding another cart to the recipe! I used the CDS and there was one cut that I made that I had to change the cart 5 times!
Here's the recipe for this version:
Cricut carts: AE, Celebrations, Cuttin' Up, Doodlecharms, Doodletype and Opposites Attract (strangely enough I didn't use anything from Beyond B-days).
Stickles: Xmas Red
Blossoms: Making Memories Jumbo Daisy Spotlight
Various rhinestones and self-adhesive gems
Cuttlebug: D'Vine Embossing Folder
Ribbon: Offray Stripe Red-Bk and red ric-rac
CS: White, Black, Red, Brown, Metallic Papaya, Neutral Tan
DPs: DCWV The Glitter Stack
For the rest of the pictures that I did exactly the same for this project and also of the different inside of the card design, click here.

Wedding season is definitely here...
...since this card is for the 2nd wedding in two weeks. This time it's my brother's best friend (since they were 7 years old). He lucked out like my brother did with finding a wonderful woman, Michele.
I used the CDS with the cartridges Celebrations, Stamped, Tear Drop and Opposites Attract.
And I finally found out how awesome Stickles are! I used lilac to make the dots on the cake stand and platinum for the center of the flowers on top of the cake where the Bride & Groom are (made by using the Inkadinkado stamp, embossing it and cutting it out). For the centers of the other flowers (MM's purple mix) I used Hero Arts 3mm Pearls.
The romance definition on vellum came from DCWV's Love & Wedding Scrapbook in a Kit.
I used fluid chalk and pigments inks to ink the edges of the lettering on the envie.

Over the Hill?
Talk about cutting it down to the wire...I had to have this card in the mail this morning in order for it to get to my dad in time for his 60th b-day...I was literally finishing the envelop a few minutes before the mail person came by...what a rush! Anyway, my dad is turning 60 and if you knew him you would never guess it, as like I said in the card, he's in better shape than I am!
I think I used more cartridges on this card than any other single project:
Doodletype, Cuttin' Up, AE, Beyond B-days and Celebrations!!
I used the CDS and there was one cut that I made that I had to change the cart 4 times!
But I think this was the 1st project (I think) that I've done that I didn't use any stamps, inks or chalks, but couldn't stay away from MM blossoms, ribbon & rhinestones. :)
And dad's favorite color is red, do you think I used enough?...
