My favorite uncle and his wife just celebrated their 25th anniversary and are still happily married, WOW! So for making a card for them I thought that it deserved a card on both sides. Not sure what I'm talking about? Hopefully the pictures will...
This is the back, or could be the front...just depends on which you like better:
I used CDS to weld the numbers to the back of the card and then again for the decorative frame to another back and then adhered the two backs together.
If you choose to have the 25th side as the front and you are able to look around to the back, this is what it looks like:
My sentiment to them is on the other side of the above black frame.
Those of you that know me...I can't make a card without a matching envelop:
Although I have to admit the above statement is not entirely correct, I didn't make envies for the thank you cards in the below post. ;p
Silver Confetti:
-CS: DCWV Black and The Glitter Stack and Making Memories "Poppy"
-PPs: Sandylion Kelly Panacci "Friendship Word Plum"
-Fluid Chalk Inks: Colorbox "Warm Red" and "Merlot"
-Punch: Fiskar's Heart Border
-Cricut carts: Storybook for 2 & 5 cut at 5 1/2" with a shadow
Opposites Attract for the "th" cut at 1" with a shadow
Beyond Birthdays for "Happy Anniversary" cut at 1 3/4" with a shadow
-Misc: Michaels Faux Pearls and adhesive

I'm a little sad today, but I'll cheer up with a Heart BBTB Challenge
It's Monday and back to work (that in itself will make you sad! LOL) and it's after a weekend that went way too fast (as always!).
Since New Years, little by little I've been taking down the Christmas decorations and putting them in one of our spare bedrooms...but finally yesterday we did the deed and took down the the little house village in our master bedroom:
This is a very large shelf that leads up to our attic, see that tiny door, that's how we get into the attic. This little village is so pretty and gives off the prettiest glow at night when we go to bed. We have it set up on a timmer to go off at midnight, as I'm sure most of you crafters are up with me at that time or later. ;p
Well of course that had to come down in order to be able to get to the attic to put everything away even though it's something that would be pretty to keep up for the winter, like some of the snowmen that I keep out.
And to make it worse we took down the tree and the large village houses under it. :(
Now it's so bare!! We put our tree in the corner of our livingroom where there is a closet to the water heater and the side door. If it wasn't for those doors we would put a peice of furniture there so it wouldn't look so pathetically bare. I know, after a 2-3 weeks it will look back to normal...
So to get some cheer back I thought I would share my Bitten By the Bug challenge! Usually I don't get to post this until Monday or Tuesday night, but I thought I would sneak some time out of work and cheer myself up. Especially since a collegue of mine just stopped by and told me how excited she was when she was watching TV yesterday and saw the Cricut infomercial with my card. Oops, I forgot to tell a few friends here about it! Been extrememly insanely busy here at work that I haven't had much time for socializing...
So anyway, this week's challenge was to use one of the hearts from the Wedding Solutions cart. Which I don't have yet, and eventually should get since I'm hoping in the somewhat near future I will be able to start planning my wedding and this cart would be great for my scrapbook. So first I would like to thank the very talented Regina for sending me a PDF version of the cut so I could import it into Inkscape and then import that into Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) and cut it out on my Cricut (this one was a bit too intricate to cut out by hand). Thanks Regina!!!
So here's my project:
I also used Regina's Heart Bag cutting file (minus the heart cut out):
If you want to see a version I did with the heart window in the bag, click here. And if you would like to purchase this cutting file, go on over the The Cutting Café where you can purchase this and many other very cute bags, boxes, shaped cards and printable stamps designed by Regina. There's also a gallery of all the things you can do with these files showcased by the very talented and creative design team members.
I decided I wanted a few layers for this card so I used the words Love from the Stamped and Beyond Birthdays carts:
The letter U is from the Alphalicious cart using the Shortstack and Shadow features:
A little machine stitching:
And with the envie, using the Heart border punch from Fiskars:
Love Potion:
-CS: Bazzill Basics "Carob", "Malted Milk", "Quick Sand" and "Ruby Slipper"
-PPs: DCWV Love & Wedding Stack
-Fluid Chalk Inks: Colorbox "Creamy Brown", "Chestnut Roan", "Dune" and "Merlot"
-Pigment Ink: Colorbox "Frosted White" (dabbed onto the red CS for the love words)
-Stickles: Diamond
-Template: Heart Bag from Regina's The Cutting Cafe
-Cricut carts:
Wedding Solutions for the Heart cut at 2 1/2" for the card and 2" for the bag.
Stamped for the word Love cut at 3" for the card and 2" for the bag both using the shadow feature.
Beyond Birthdays for the scripted word Love cut at 2" and 1 3/8" both for the card.
Alphalicious for the letter U cut at 2 1/2" for the card and 2" for the bag both using the shortstack and shadow features.
-Misc: Brown thread, sewing machine, ribbon, Fiskar's Heart border punch and black gelly roll pen

A day to Remember...finished!
Here's a card I had made back in July based on Laura's sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You for their design team applications. It was a busy week and I had two cards to make for the application so I just did the cover of the card. Well you know me, I can't give a card to someone without doing the inside AND glamming up the envie, so here is the finished product...
Also, to see the sketch this was based off of click here.
And this was made for my fiancé, Scott, for the day that he proposed to me. :)
Inside of the card:
And here's the envie:
Love Potion:
-CS: TPC "Antique Rose"
-DPs: DCWV Sweetheart, Embossed Stack and The Once Upon A Time stack
-Ribbon: Dk Brown Satin from stash and Dashes, Dots & Check "Mauve/Pink"
-Blossoms: Heidi Swapp Florals - Small Variety Pack and Large Crimson, MM Jumbo Blossoms with Pebble Brads - Dark Pink Daisy and Prima's Got Flower? - Brown
-Stamps: Inkadinkadoo's Clear set Month & Days, Heart (unknown) used at my LSS and MSE! Love Postage
-Fluid Chalk Ink: Colorbox Warm Red
-Charm: Jewelry Essentials
-Vellum Quote: Joann Scrap Essentials - Love
-Cricut Cart: Tear Drop for "Scott" using CDS cut at 1 3/4" with the welding feature
-Misc: Adhesive, Mini Pop Dots, MM 1/8" eylets, Colorbox Black Pigment Ink, Embossing Powder, Markers with Waterbrush
TFL!

A Day To Remember
Here's a card that I made for my fiancé as a remembrance to the day he proposed to me. This is also designed off of Laura's sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You for an application to be on their new design team! How exciting would that be, huh?!?!
Here's Laura's sketch:
And here's my take on it:
Stay tuned to the design of the inside of the card and the envie!

Wedding season is definitely here...
...since this card is for the 2nd wedding in two weeks. This time it's my brother's best friend (since they were 7 years old). He lucked out like my brother did with finding a wonderful woman, Michele.
I used the CDS with the cartridges Celebrations, Stamped, Tear Drop and Opposites Attract.
And I finally found out how awesome Stickles are! I used lilac to make the dots on the cake stand and platinum for the center of the flowers on top of the cake where the Bride & Groom are (made by using the Inkadinkado stamp, embossing it and cutting it out). For the centers of the other flowers (MM's purple mix) I used Hero Arts 3mm Pearls.
The romance definition on vellum came from DCWV's Love & Wedding Scrapbook in a Kit.
I used fluid chalk and pigments inks to ink the edges of the lettering on the envie.
TFL!!

The Wedding Gift Card...
A coffee card for a coffee machine...
My wedding gift to my brother and his wonderful fiancé was an espresso machine that was on their registry, so of course I had to match the card to the gift.
Mixing cricut cuts, stamping and embossing:
Inkadinkadoo stamps:
-Pick Me Up coffee
-Enough Caffine
-Hand Made with Love
A Muse Artstamps:
-Three Cups
This is my 2nd project embossing the stamps, I think I'll be doing it more often :)
My favorite stuff to use:
-Colorbox Fluid Chalk and Pigment Inks
-I Kan'dee pearlescent chalks
Cricut carts used:
-AE
-Printing Press
K&Company paper

And here are the Wedding Favors...
Well it finally happened! My brother is married and what an extremely fun and exciting day it was! The weather couldn't have been better, in the 70s, sunny and dry. For New England in April that is certainly amazing! Here are what a few of you have been waiting for, pictures of the wedding favor tags that I made for my now sister-in-law. I used corduroy patterned paper and used Doodlecharms for the heart and "frosted" them with I Kan'dee Pearlescent Pastel Chalks. I also got some good use out of my Crop-A-Dile to put in eyelets in for all 95 of them! :)
And I have to add a picture of the very loving and gorgeous couple...

Wedding is almost here!
I was getting a little nervous, my brother's wedding is April 19th and today is the 12th and finally got to sit down and make their card...
I took a small break from the Cricut (except for the Heart on the back of the card and the letters on the envie) and dove back into stamping.
Here's some of the things I used:
Inkadinkado stamps:
-Bride & Groom (which I embossed, cut out and adhered to the card with mini pot dots)
-It's Your Special Day
-May this Wonderful Day...(which I also embossed)
Paper:
-K&Company Smitten Butterflies
-Cranberry cardstock
-DCWV Love Embossed cardstock
-DCWV Wedding Embossed cardstock
Making Memories blossoms & rhinestone brads
Colorbox fluid chalk inks and pigment inks
