Love to Scrap!

Here's another LO for Scott's mom's scrapbook, this is Alyssa's 2008 birthday and as you can tell very happy to receive a baby Cricut. :)

I love these self-adhesive crytal embellishments but they are so hard to take off the plastic sheet and get it onto the paper. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do it?

Recipe:
-CS: Bazzill Black, DCWV White Texture, MM Smooth Poppy
-PPs: Karen Foster Design “Love to Scrap”
-Rhinestones: Michaels Recollections
-Cricut carts: Stamped for Love cut at 2” shadowed and Opposites Attract for “to scrap” base feature at 1” and “2008” upright feature cut at 1”

Father Daughter Ball 2007

Every year at Alyssa's elementary school they would have a Father Daughter Ball and this one is from 2007 which was the 2nd to the last one. Unfortunately Scott forgot his camera to the last one. :(

Here's two LOs I did at 4:00AM on Thursday because I couldn't sleep...yes I was cutting those intricate flowers at 4 in the morning!

Hope you like...

Those flowers that are partially framing the picture is what I cut out of a beautiful SEI paper that is from the same collection of the two papers I used for these LOs:

Someone decided to take a bite out of her cupcake right before getting her picture taken...I thought it was too funny leave out of the LO:

Isn't she like a princess:

I cut the wings on the butterflies to tuck the picture under:

Recipe:
-CS: BB “Mudpie”
-PPs: SEI Chocolat “Nougat”, “Praline” and “Cherie”
-Blossoms: Gartner Table Confetti Embossed White Shimmer
-Cricut Cart: OA cut at 1” base welded
-Misc: Rhinestones, adhesive

Somebody turned ONE!

My very adorable nephew, Chase, turned 1 this past Monday. I can't believe it's been a year already!

Last year I took a fun class at my LSS where we made a birthday cake keepsake book so I can't take credit for the idea of this book but the cake decorating part is me (although we used some of the same rub-ons but I placed them in different spots), so some scraplifting.

Anyway here it is, just needs completing once his parents pick out their favorite pics from the b-day party and I can put them in book.

This is two stamps I combined together. I masked the sentiment on the Fluffles baking stamp and replaced it with the other sentiment from another Stampendous stamp (thought it was perfect for this project):

Here's the Money Card:

Birthday for an Aunt...and Taylor's Sketch Challenge #56

My aunt (who just celebrated her 25th anniversary with my uncle) is celebrating her birthday this week. She was born on Feb 29th, so does she get a birthday this year??

I did this based on Taylor's Expressions Cupcake Challenge #56. You don't have to use a cupcake (although I usually do when I participate in one of her challenges) just as long as you go along with the sketch, which this is #56:

You really should check out her challenges, they're a lot of fun!

So here's my take on the sketch:

First time I got to use the cool clear stamp set from Stampendous:

Just a little embellishment to the inside:

And of course a little more embellishment to the envie (on both sides):

Cake Mix:
-CS: The Paper Co "Antique Rose" and Bazzill Basics "Tutu Pink"
-PPs: Sandylion Kelly Panacci "Daisy Stripes" and "Floral Crochet-Cream"
-Stamps: Stampendous "Feminine Friends" perfectly clear stamp set
-Cricut carts: Storybook for A & M letters @ 1 1/2"
Opposites Attract for the rest of the letters welded and cut at 1 1/2"
-Misc: Adhesive, Colorbox Black Pigment Ink, Embossing Powder, Heat gun, mauve thread and sewing machine

25 Years - WOW!

My favorite uncle and his wife just celebrated their 25th anniversary and are still happily married, WOW! So for making a card for them I thought that it deserved a card on both sides. Not sure what I'm talking about? Hopefully the pictures will...

This is the back, or could be the front...just depends on which you like better:

I used CDS to weld the numbers to the back of the card and then again for the decorative frame to another back and then adhered the two backs together.

If you choose to have the 25th side as the front and you are able to look around to the back, this is what it looks like:

My sentiment to them is on the other side of the above black frame.

Those of you that know me...I can't make a card without a matching envelop:

Although I have to admit the above statement is not entirely correct, I didn't make envies for the thank you cards in the below post. ;p

Silver Confetti:
-CS: DCWV Black and The Glitter Stack and Making Memories "Poppy"
-PPs: Sandylion Kelly Panacci "Friendship Word Plum"
-Fluid Chalk Inks: Colorbox "Warm Red" and "Merlot"
-Punch: Fiskar's Heart Border
-Cricut carts: Storybook for 2 & 5 cut at 5 1/2" with a shadow
Opposites Attract for the "th" cut at 1" with a shadow
Beyond Birthdays for "Happy Anniversary" cut at 1 3/4" with a shadow
-Misc: Michaels Faux Pearls and adhesive

We Make A Great Pear

Here's a card I made for my fiance that was also for this past week's challenge over at Bitten By the Bug (you should check out the very cute creations that the other designers did!). The challenge was to use the Pear from Home Accents. We were allowed to use it anyway we wanted and this is what I came up with. You would think out of the 28 cartridges that I have that I wouldn't have to ask someone to make the cuts for me two weeks in a row. :P

So once again with some help of my friend and sister BBTB designer DeeDee...she so kindly cut the two pears for me (and actually a few more, so sweet of her!!!, thanks again DeeDee!!!). You must check out her site as well...Scrappin' with DeeDee...and see all the amazing things she does.

The 1st thing that came to my mind when thinking of what to do with a pear was 'hey, we make a great pair", which is actually kind of how my fiance and I got together. A mutual friend of ours one day said "you know...you guys would be a great pair together"...and we thought to ourselves "yeah we would!" and that's how it all happened (a short and sweet story for the grandkids...).

So here is what I did:

Fruit bowl:
-CS: Bazzill "Black", DCWV "Pistachio 149"
-DPs: DCWV "Wedding Black"
-Fluid Chalk Inks: Colorbox "Dune" and "Olive"
-Blossoms: Gartner Embossed White Shimmer Table Confetti and Hero Arts Art Flowers "Spring"
-Stickles: Lime Green
-Stickers: Joann Craft Essential 3-D Embellishments "Groom" for the top hat and Jolee's Dimensional Stickers "Bride" for the vail
-Dew Drops: Fresh Mowed Grass
-Computer Fonts: scrapNfonts LDJ Fantastical at 72 pts
-Edge Punch: Martha Stewart's Doily Lace
-Cricut Carts: Home Accents for the pear one cut at 3" and one at 3 1/2"
Opposites Attract for "We make a great pear" and "Scott": "We", "great" and "Scott" using the Upright feature cut @ 2" and "make" and "a" using the Base feature cut at 1" and "pear" using the Opposite feature cut at 1 1/4"
-Misc: Thread, Zots adhesive, Mini Pot Dots, Vellum

Sweet Baby of Mine

It's another week over at 2 Sketches 4 You and this week it's Kazan's sketch, which is her 3rd sketch (and what a sketch it is!).

And there is also a new contest over at Bitten By The Bug that gave me the opportunity to combine two challenges into one. The contest over at BBTB is something for a baby using brown as the primary color, have a heart somewhere on the project and use any cut from any of the Cricut cartridges!

A colleague of mine is having a baby in August and there is going to be a baby shower for her soon and due to a very busy schedule I had to combine both challenges into one.

Here is Kazan's sketch:

And here is my take:

Baby Formula for this creation:
-CS: The Paper Company - Sable, Neutral Tan, Neutral Tan Texture, Parchment Ivory, Cool Metallic Cover Amber, Cool Metallic Cover Lime, Blonde Columns and Burgundy Corduroy
-DPs: Paper Pizzazz "Brown Diamonds" and "Tan Scrollwork Stripes"
-Ribbon: Offray Lime Juice White Dots
-Stickles: LIme Green and Copper
-Fluid Chalk Inks: Colorbox Creamy Brown
-Diecuts: K&Company Smitten Hearts
-Cricut Carts: Doodlecharms for the bottles cut at 2"
Opposites Attracts for words "Joy" (using the base feature cut at 1 3/8"), "to" (welded using the upright feature cut at 2 1/2"), "your" (welded using the Opposite feature cut at 1 1/2"), "trish" (welded using the upright feature) and "baby" (welded using the base feature)
George for the ampersand
Cuttin Up for the word baby cut at 2 1/2"
-Computer fonts: scrapNfonts - Sweet using LD Punch Out, Baby using LD Remington Portable, Of using CK Bella, Mine using LD Warm Heart and Frame using DB Frilly Frames (r character)
