Finished Easter Card Set & Gift Box

Well I finally finished the 4th card and gift box for the set 4 Easter cards with Gift box that I put on my Etsy store.

I used my favorite gift box to make using Regina's Box for Quarter Fold Cards from The Cutting Café.

Here's the 4th card:

I had already used this theme on a pillow box that you can see here.

Just love this kitty that can be a bit devilish:

And of course a matching envelop:

And here's the gift box that would be perfect for some very yummy Easter candy and/or chocolates...and then give to someone as a gift.

The 3 other cards are here (they are the 1st 3, the 4th one I made for my Grandmother).

Back to some scrapbooking

It's been awhile since I've done a scrapbook so I'm trying to do a couple pages here and there. I took advantage of being able to do a couple pages of pictures from Christmas last year with this past week's Bitten By the Bug challenge. The challenge was to use the gifts from the New Arrival cart. You really should go over and check out the beautiful creations made by the other design team members.

ALSO, don't forget that the BBTB is having another contest sponsored by Krista and Penny from SweetArts Paperie. They have put together an amazing kit, check it out here. And because of all the hustle and bustle going on for the holiday magic the contest has been extended to 1/10/09!!!

So here is my creation on this week's BBTB challenge (the gifts from New Arrival are on the 2nd page:

Mixing Cricut & scrapNfonts for a Season's Greetings in a Winter Wonderland!

Hey there, this past week's challenge over at Bitten by the Bug was to use the card cut from Christmas Cheer as a blank canvas and incorporate some amazing doodlebats and fonts from scrapNfonts. We were asked to use a doodlebat from DB 'Tis the Season Modern and the font SNF Classy Charm (very classy!). I chose to use the Season's Greetings round tag, which is character "M" from DB 'Tis the Season Modern and also the cutest Snowman (character "Q") from DB Snowy Doodles. You should see what the other design team members did with this challenge, go on over to BBTB and see!

A nut for a NUT!...BBTB Challenge

OK, I know there are some of you out there or at least have DHs that do this...wait until the last minute to do Christmas shopping. So I decided to go with that theme for this past week's Bitten By the Bug challenge which was to use the Nutcup cut from Tags Bags Boxes & More. We were asked to do a Christmas project with it and since it's the nutcup I starting thinking of all those nuts that go out shopping on Christmas Eve. And I know how many people do that as I used to work part-time for Linens N Things. You would not believe how many people would come in, even on the edge of closing time, for gifts or even worse...stuff for entertaining for their Christmas dinner guests! And the killer was...if what they were looking for was sold out...how enraged they would get! Hmmmm, a Chocolate Fondue Fountain on sale at an amazing price in the Christmas flyer, gone by the end of Christmas Eve store hours, how could that be?!?!?

You can click on the images to see close ups:

And yet another angle:

Nutty Mix:

B-day Party Girl and 2 Sketches 4 You

Whoo-hoo, another fun sketch to work off of from 2 Sketches 4 You with this week featuring Laura's 3rd sketch.

This week I needed to make two b-day cards for two friends of mine that are twins. They look very much alike but their personalities are a bit different. And I have to admit that I'm not too good of a friend to them since their b-day was this past weekend and I'm just making their cards now! This one is for the twin (Lori) that loves to get everyone together so I went with the Party Girl Theme to go with her personality. I did a lot of popping up on the dresses by cutting some from the left over paper and used sticky squares to pop them! Then I dressed them up with some Stickles and Glossy Accents. I'm also getting into this stitching thing, I don't know why I was so nervous to give it a try...

Tomorrow I'll get working on the other twin's card (wish me luck!)

Here's Laura's very cool sketch:

And here's my take on it:

Party favors for this creation:
-CS: DCWV "Pink #1 Texture" & "Robin #3 Texture" and The Paper Co "Pastel Pink Texture"
