simon says stamp/gift it - holly jolly

Be sure to check out the Simon Says Stamp Store!

Hello and welcome to this weeks simon says stamp wednesday challenge, it is about gifts, tags, or gift giving. The design team has used products from my favorite things....an amazing company with an array of stamps and dies. Don't forgot every week at Simon Says Stamp we give away a $50 voucher...wooohooo....now that is worth playing for!

I have used the adorable star dies called stars in the sky die-namics. I sponged gold ink on the base of the tag and then cut another tag from gold glitter paper to shine through from behind. The sentiment is from the mft set called hand lettered holidays. Be sure to check out the rest of the design team to see what they created.

CardMaker and Terial Arts Blog Hop

well, it is safe to say I had a blast creating my little autumn postcard and I also added a little giftie set(see below). I am luvin the aqua polka dotted fabric with the warm colors of the leaves...I think it really adds so much! I have used the gorgoeus fall leaves from the stamp market; I started off with white fabrics, stained them with tim holtz distress inks, I then sprayed them with the amazing terial arts fabric stabilizer....luv how this works and changes the fabric to be like paper! I then stamped the leaves onto the fabric and then die cut them out.....gorgoeus! I am luvin the look of the leaves against the aqua polka dots so I kept my postcard simple! The leaves I used for my fall giftie are below, check them out too!

You should have come to me from the super amazing Niki and your next stop is the fabulous Gaylynn

If you want to start at the beginning of the hop head over to the CardMaker blog and be sure to head to the Terial Arts site to check out the amazing fabric stabilizer!

I used a kraft colored berry basket, added the leaves, tag and twine...tucked inside is bite size turtle brownies!

Here is a close up of those gorgeous leaves using the Terial Art Fabric Stabilizer

I also used the letter embossing folder from we r memory keepers and then painted only the letters L O V E....I then added all sorts of sequins and beads for a fun shaker. The tab was created using the tab punch and the word love is from a hero arts set. The bag has a couple cards and envies inside for the perfect gift. I can't wait to see what you create!

I am super excited about today's simon says stamp project, I have created a cute little gift bag to hold the adorable thank you cards I created a few weeks back. Do you remember them here, I am totally luvin the lawn fawn notecards...sweeeeet! These are a small gift for a friend, I created a felt flower using the simon die plush bloom, I only used the two smaller sections for the flower. I then attached it to the layered watercolor paper and added a cute sentiment, clothespin, and the enamel dots. A super quick and easy giftie...have fun!

Glitz Design-Sweet Circle Memory Keepsake Step x Step

Hello Glitz friends, I am so thrilled to be sharing my step x step with you!  It is girly, sweet, and very simple to recreate, my kinda of gift!  I am not much of a hoarder, but do find myself not wanting to throw some things out.  The Laughing Cow boxes are one of those things, I eat these a lot with a few crackers; a "just enough snack" that is not fattening!

Here is the Laughing Cow box in it's original state, this is my favorite one...yummy!

First, I painted the sides and a small portion of the top with white acrylic paint.  Them I rubbed it with a fine grit piece of sand paper, very lightly...not abrasive.  Just enough so that a marbled under color starts to appear.  I then added Tim Holtz fine glitter to the sides and part of the top, so that the shape you use for the top does not show any of the original box color.

I used the Spellbinders Big Scalloped Circle Die shape, the largest one in the set.  It fits perfect on top and on the inside, I cut thin pieces of card board to use for a base of each page.  I used tweed ribbon and glued two pieces of the card board base to each side and gluing to the inside of the box bottom, so that they fold out accordion style.

I then cut out the gorgeous Glitz Hello Friend Collection papers to adhere to each piece of card board and started putting my pages together.  I used The Hello Friend.....Stamp Set,  Cardstock Stickers, Transparency Pieces, Puffy Word Stickers, Transparent Stickers with Jewels, Cardstock Whatnot Pieces, Paper Layers, Teeny Alphabet Stickers, and Gathered Crepe Trim.

I then adhere each page to the card board base and my sweet little circle memory keepsake was coming together.  It is soooo girly and sweet, the Hello Friend Collection makes it all possible!

Here are the pages, showing both sides as it folds up into the sweet circle box.  The flower page is my favorite, I totally adore the heart flowers!  The original idea came from Vicki Chriman shown here.

More pages here, the page on the right is the last page of the book and it is clued to the bottom of the box.

The opened box, showing the first page with the sweet little butterfly from the Hello Friend Rubber Stamp set.  The tweed ribbon tab to the right, lift to open the sweet scalloped pages.

The top of the box with seam binding ribbon bow and a Glitz Giant Rhinestone, perfect for gift giving.  A sweeet gift for a girl of any age!
I hope you like my refurbished Laughing Cow Sweet Circle Memory Keepsake Box.  You still have time to create one for your friend, daughter, granddaughter, or even yourself!

Have a wonderful day, be sure to sprinkle it with a little Glitz!
