I had these sweet Glitz gems in my stash, luv the colors and design. I mixed it with black for a little pop. The sweet sentiment tag, uses Tim Holtz tiny typewriter letters. Oh, BTW if you are wondering where I got my new blog banner and icons, check out Jacy's Store, Hello Awesome. Glitz-4 YOU

Good morning Glitz fans, we are creating tags on our projects; I luv tags, don't you?  I just luv making these sweet little gems, and adding it to your card is a great way to use them.

I have used one of the peek-a-boos from the Love You Madly collection, these are so fun.  I made it my focal point and added a corrugated number splatter with some paint.  I cut it using a PTI shape, I luv making tags in a non traditional shape. I had to use some of my favorite girly embellies, lace trim and seam binding!

Supplies Used:
Glitz Designer Paper: Uncharted Waters
Glitz Peek-a-Boo: Love You Madly
Glitz Giant Rhinestones: Love You Madly

For my second card, I went with lots of colors, not my norm; but hey it is fun to step out every now and then. I used lots of the Color Me Happy papers and cut out the pieces I want to use to make my tag.

I made a sweet little tag, added a sentiment and a heart; it is mostly papers from the Color Me Happy collection.  I added a wide piece of lace and a bow, but mainly wanted to use the papers; they do make ya happy!

I hope that I inspired you today to create something fun with tags, enjoy!

Have a wonderful day, be sure to sprinkle it with a little Glitz!

Glitz-Life Is Beautiful

Hi ya Glitz fans, I am showing cards I created suing the fun Glitz stamps,.  The sweet typewriter and "hello" sentiment are from the Color Me Happy set.

I luv the old vintage typewriters, I remember the sound in my typewriting class in school..lol.  I have clustered flowers, gems, and stamen with the seam binding bow.  I sponged around the main image and layered it with a doily.  I added a sweet book page tab with a tiny gemstone stapled to the card.  I also used a paper clip to hold the sentiment, you can see I was going for the office look..lol.

Supplies Used:
Glitz Designer Paper: Uncharted Waters
Glitz Rubber Stamps: Color Me Happy
Glitz Giant Rhinestones: Uncharted Waters

For my second card, I used the darling whale from the stamp set Uncharted Waters; this is the sweetest whale image evah.  I colored in the flowers with a copic marker and layered him with all sorts of my favorite embellies.
The "forever/always"sentiment was stamped a cut out with a circle punch; I used the giant gemstone that reads, "life is beautiful".  I used a piece of tea stained lace, added glitter down the side, a few banners that are stapled on and my card is complete.

I hope that I inspired you today to create something beautiful, have fun!

Have a wonderful day, be sure to sprinkle it with a little Glitz!

Glitz-Stuck On You

Hello glitz girls, we are showcasing stickers this week...stuck on you!  I adore the glitz stickers, heavy quality paper and very sticky.  I like to use pop dots under them to give depth.

I have used the Uncharted Waters sticker for this one and of course the Teeny Alphas, I know you have heard this before, but I cannot tell you how much I adore these! I added a paper layer under the sticker and heart; this is a gorgeous piece of musical paper.  I also used, lace, seam binding, and a few little extras to give my card personality.  The Giant Rhinestone brings it all together!

For my next card a kept it a little on the softer side, I adore this paper and these colors...sweet combo!

I have used the Love You Madly stickers on this one, using half of the doily sticker and left it peeking up above the ribbon.  I used pop dots to show case the main sentiment and of course the Teeny Alphas again...*grin*.  I used lace, seam binding, and bakers twine on this card; so fun and girly.  I sure hope I have inspired you to create today and use those stickers, it makes creating fun and easy!

Have a wonderful day, be sure to sprinkle it with a little Glitz!

Distressing Step x Step

Hello Glitz peeps, I am sharing a quick and easy way to distress your cards.  I really like the personality it gives a card; the shabby, vintage look that I adore!

I use a tiny scrap piece of paper to distress and layer, if you like adding a little summin, summin this is a great way to do it.  It is a easy way to add a splash of color too.  I distress the two sides that will be shown, I distressed three sides on this one, wasn't thinking...there is no need to do that.

On the side, I tore a piece a little deeper into the card, luv this look!

Here is the distressing tool I used on this card.  I have many ways of distressing I use a file sometimes, a sanding block, and I have been known to use my fingernail too..lol.

Here is the back of the card with the two tiny pieces of scraps glued down.  No need to use a whole sheet of paper, use up those scraps!

Here is the final card with the edges distressed and the corner curled down, totally cute!

Another card showing a piece completely torn out on the corner.  On the right side of this card, I have torn the designer paper away from the back side to show even more rawness of the paper. There are lots of ways to distress, let's your imagination run wild!

Glitz-Go Green

Hello Glitz fans, we are going green, green is my favorite color!  I was so happy to create for this weeks challenge!  I luv using the color green, but I also like using recycled items too.

I am a huge fan of the Glitz Teeny Alphas, I use them every chance I get.  I paired the teeny alphas with the large peek-a-boo ampersand to make my own sentiment. I really like the way my card turned out, lots of green...*grin*.

I used the Uncharted Water Teeny Alphas to make the birthday sentiment.  Glitz Tape, button, lace, doily, and burlap string.
I created the back too, I could not stop creating!  I cut out a heart, added a giant rhinestone, and sweet tickets.  I hope you are inspired to create summin and use those things we throw away to get you started!

I adore all the Glitz collections so many options to choose from; stamps, tape, journaling stickers, the teeny alphas(my favorite...grin) and many more.  On my first card I have used the sweet pink paper layers sheet and added the teeny alpha for my sentiment.  The tag is a what not, and the sweet lace circle is the roller doodle...cute!  I added a tape, flower, stitching, and lace to bring it all together!

They are easy and simple to make and they give so much to the recipient!  I have made these 3x3, I used the Love You Madly navy paper for the bottom part, I then added the tape strips.  The little sentiment box is stamped from the Love You Madly stamp set and yes, I used my favorite teeny alphas for the individual sentiments!

I hope that you where inspired to create today and share your luv of creating with someone and give a little treat!  Hope your Valentines Day is full of love!

Glitz New Release-Washi Tape

I am sharing my Glitz cards using washi tape, I luv using washi tape!  I have used the Love You Madly tape down the sides of my first card.
I have used the stamp from the Glitz set Color Me Happy, I then sponged around the edges.  I tied a dark chocolate seam binding bow, added a doily, and the sweet corrugated hearts.  Washi tape can be used in lots of different ways to add color, design, or texture.

Supplies Used:
Glitz Designer Paper: Uncharted Waters
Glitz Stamps: Color Me Happy
Glitz Tape: Love You Madly Hearts

For my second card I created a washi tape frame to showcase the die cut sticker sentiment that I added to the center!
I used pop dots to raise the die cut up a bit; I cut a doily in half a placed it on the ends so that a bit peeks through on both ends.  I tied it with a seam binding bow and button.  Another super quick card to pull together, washi tape has so many uses... experiment with it and see what you come up with!  I hope you have a wonderful day!

Have a wonderful day, be sure to sprinkle it with a little Glitz!
