Mojo Monday Sketch- Vintage Christmas Blessings

Good morning, it is mojo time and Julee has put together another great sketch.  I used the new Verve release set Glad Tidings, these snowflakes are so lovely!  I heat embossed the snowflake and added a little stickles and a gem to the center.  I also heat embossed the sentiment, folded it, scrunched it, and added sponging....luv this look.  I also luv this silky ruffled ribbon, I should have bought more.  I purchased it at Hobby Lobby when I was in PA.  I used at sparkler from Webster's Pages to the center of my bow.  Be sure to check out the other mojo makers creations over at the Mojo Monday Blog.  I used The Color Throwdown Colors, CTD118.  Have a super start to your week,  I have the holidays on my mind with each passing day...lol.  The celebrations are right around the corner, that means lots of great food and great times...I am excited!  Enjoy.

Beauty & Joy

I wanted to share this card as I played along with today's FS197, Angela....check out her amazing gallery!  I have not been able to play along with the FS in a long while, it is one of my favorites of the week at SCS.  It is fun and exciting to highlight a stamper, lots of times it is  someone I have never discovered...check it out!  I chose her card here to case, changing the stamps, colors, and adding lace trim and twine.  I added distressing, sponging, and stitching.  The stamps are Verve and the designer paper is Webster's  Pages.

Merry Christmas Mittens

Good morning, I am happy to tell you about the new JustRite Cling Mounted stamps; they are sooooo fabulous!  I luv this idea, there is a great storage box for keeping all of the stamps neatly together.  I have used the cute mitten stamp from the set Sparky & Friends.
I used the sweet designer paper from My Mind's Eye called I Believe, I adore this color combo.  It is a deep red, soft sky, and chocolate.......yummy!  I have heat embossed the mittens and added vintage glass glitter to the cuff and the center of the snowflake.  I used Nesties Labels Eleven for the main shape that the mittens are adhered to and added sponging.  I also added stitching, distressing, and the tag sentiment that is attached with a chipboard snowflake(these where given to me by a friend).  I also showed you a peek of the inside of my card, I usually finish the insides off as well; but very rarely share....shame on me....lol.  The sketch is from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch, MTSC98.  I hope you like my mitten Christmas card and I wish you a week filled with lots of love and laughter!  Enjoy.

A Wish For Peace

To see my Verve sneak peek card scroll down one!
I am sharing a manly Christmas card with you, I think most of us struggle with manly cards.  I think I great way to help with that is to use some sort of technique.  I have used the cracked glass technique on this fabulous Penny Black stamp, it is called Wish For Peace
This is a super easy technique; stamp your image, cover entire image with VersaMark, pour Judikins Embossing Powder over entire image, heat emboss, repeat several more times, put image into freezer, take out a bend to crack the embossed layered.  You can also sponge with a darker ink to give it a more vintage look.  This is a great technique for making manly cards.  I used the open scalloped border die from My Favorite Things, a little stitching, My Mind's Eye Lush ribbon, and the sentiment tag.  I also used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC90.  I hope you have a super day,  I know you are gearing up for the weekend..I am!  I have had to work a couple of Saturdays lately, this is not my idea of fun...lol.  I will have lots of time off come the holidays....woohoo...I am super excited about that.  Have a fabulous day...enjoy!

NEW Janome

If You are looking for the CTD100 card and blog hop post click here! I have two cards to share for today's F4A20, to use something new....I have a NEW Janome 2010...I so luv it.  I used the adorable square sketch from Cortney's blog Practicing Creativity, there are some adorable stamps over there.  I used sentiments from Verve and the little boat is a Martha Stewart and the butterflies are the SU die.  I used scraps for the frame, I luv using scraps....I have blast of a weekend.  In case you are wondering I did get off again next week....eeeekkkk.  I have done really good this week with cleaning and throwing out(yard sale/good will) now I need to convince my dh he needs to do the same.  He is extremely neat but he likes to hold on to stuff and well I don't...lol.  Here is a good rule of thumb if you haven't used it or wore it in the last year in needs to go.....there are some exceptions.... plunger, heating pad, or those adorable little brads that you had to have.....lol.  Have a wonderful day...enjoy!
