Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenge #11 - Christmas / Hanukkah

Good evening everyone! I am a bit behind getting my project posted. My hubby just had surgery. He had both wrists done for Carpal Tunnel and his trigger finger fixed as well. I've been playing nurse :)  So! I apologize for posting late and I hope to see you joining in on our challenge :)

Here is my project for our November Challenge:








For this card I have used 'Pulling Down The Christmas Tree' from Knitty Kitty Digis. I've used my Copic Markers to color up this image. I've used some foam tape to pop up the different levels of the tree. The Merry Christmas is die cut and I've added a few gems. I've also added a bit of Wink Of Stella around the tree. I had a lot of fun coloring all the different kittens! On the inside I used a corner die.

Good morning everyone and Happy Weekend!!  It is going to be in the 90s today.. Hot! Yuck! Stay home in the air conditioner day LOL My youngest had a birthday on the 24th. We did a bit of celebrating on Thursday, got her hair done on Friday and she has a friend spending the night for the next two days. I think she has had a pretty good birthday! She is the big 1-3!!  Thirteen! A True teenager.. although the attitude has been there for a couple of years already LOL!!  I hope you all have a great weekend!

Here is my creation for the midway post:





I made this little ATC using Ben On A Raft from Ike's Art!! Love this image! And he looks like he is ready for vacation doesn't he? LOL  I colored him with my Copic markers. I decoupaged the mast and his legs.  I decorated the background with white and blue liquid pearls. I stamped the Vacation with some white ink, but then I outlined parts of the letters with my white pen and drew random shapes to give it a sort of graffiti look. I added glitter around the edge and the twine towards the bottom. There is also hand doodled stitching around the edge, hard to see; you can see it better in person.

I used Doxie from IkesArt. I used a Spellbinders die. The image is colored with Copic. The sentiment is from Sentimental Susan. The paw print inside is from a wooden stamp that I've had forever. Sorry the photos didn't come out that great... They were taken outside and they were very muted. Probably because of all the browns, not sure.

 Good luck everyone!! I can't wait to see your projects!! We will be off to church soon. Yesterday, I worked on the garden a bit and got Michael to mow the grass and Bailey planted fliers.  Kevin and I went for a bit of a ride on the motorcycle. It was a beautiful day for a ride, so we went down to the Harley shop. Since the kids helped out in the yard, I went over and grabbed the stuff to make S'Mores. We have a small fire pit in the backyard. I lit the fire pit and we gathered around and made S'mores and roasted marshmallows. Kevin didn't like the S'mores OR the roasted marshmallows LOL We got some photos and I will have to share them. Also, Kevin made me a shelf to put my wooden stamps on. I mentioned to him this morning that I would love to have my wooden stamps out so I could see them and use them more often. Its fantastic! I took photos. I will post the photos of the shelf, the scrap room and the S'mores party later in the week :) I hope you all have a great Sunday!!!
