So much Sunshine!*

Good morning! And a very happy Saturday!! What is going on today with everyone? I'm going to head to the work gym this morning. I need to get my walk in and today is my day to do the weight circuit. I'm going to head that way very soon. That will be my morning... working out and crafting :)

Later on this evening, the Major League Lacrosse Championship game is in town. I am taking my mother and my two daughters. We are really excited! The game is being played at Kennesaw University, which is right in town. It is the New York Lizards (who Bailey and I like -- we like their colors and their mascot LOL) and the Rochester Rattlers. Two New York teams! It will be fun :)  Bailey and I have watched some of the games on TV. The guys game is a lot different than the women's; it is much more physical. They announced yesterday that Atlanta will get the new expansion team.. The Atlanta Blaze. Their home field will be at Kennestone State University. How fun!!  So, that will be my day today.  Kevin had a stick stomach last night so I'm hoping he will just take it easy today.

We are thinking that maybe tomorrow morning we will go see the new Mission Impossible movie. We love those! We will see how Kevin feels tomorrow! :)

Here is my creation for today:

Here is a little summer card from me! I cut the card with the Silhouette Cameo. I thought it was perfect for summer. On the front I covered the center with gold to give it a bit of sparkle. The image is from Digital Delights by Looby Lou. I colored her with pencils and I layered her several times. I added a bit of stickles to the flowers. I used paint dots for the bracelets and anklets and for the red centers on the flowers. I printed the sentiment. I have used all scraps on almost all of my cards. I'm really trying to use up scraps! I layered the sunshine on the inside minus the glitter so you could write on it. Happy Summer everyone! I'm really looking forward to the cold LOL!!

Otters!!.

Good morning everyone! Oh Happy Days!!! It is Friday! Finally Friday!! LOL  Woot! Today I have some running around to do at work, which means I will leave around noon or so. Other than that I'll get my walking done in the morning (45 minutes) and then another 30 minutes at lunch time. We are not doing a whole lot this weekend. I'm taking my two girls and my mother to the Major League Lacrosse game that will be here in Kennesaw. It is the championship game! I'm really excited! Oh.. and they are announcing the expansion team that will be coming to Georgia today too. All kinds of Lacrosse excitement LOL That's it though.. other than that I'm just going to chill around the house and craft I hope! Have a wonderful Friday everyone!!

I LOVE otters! Here is my creation for today:

For this card, the image was colored with my copic markers. It was done so long ago I can't remember what I used. I cut the butterflies and the flowers. The flowers actually are two different types of flowers. The middle has a rolled rose in it. I added some stickles to the edge of the flowers and butterflies. There are pearls on the butterflies as well. The circle under the flowers was cut using the Cameo; it was a circle of leaves. I added two pieces of washi tape .. that is the blue banner cut tape. I also added some twine and the butterfly charm. On the image, I covered the cattails with clear glass balls which added some texture. I used clear UTEE at the bottom on the water to give it a shimmer and make it really look like water. There are even some "splashes" on the otter :)  To finish it off I added some sequins in blue shades. I also added the sequins to the inside to finish it off.

Blessings Dragon.

Good morning everyone! I was so stressed out yesterday with two meetings. I was so afraid that the big boss would try to change my hours, try to make me do way more than I could handle, but it all worked out okay. I was really honest with all of the management that they would have to patient and it all worked out okay. So, it was a pretty good day! I did get a bunch accomplished, but not as much as I would have liked. I'm hoping to make up for that today :)  I hope you all had a great start to your week!

The kids started school yesterday. It was Bailey's first day as a High School Freshman. She seemed to have a great day. One of her teachers seems really boring LOL but the rest seem to be alright. I think she is going to have a great year. And when they start conditioning for Lacrosse she will get to know her teammates and I think it will be really great for her. Michael seemed to like all of his teachers okay too. So, I'm hoping he will have a good year too. We just have to get through math, but that won't be until the second semester. I was going to see if I could get that changed, but then I decided to just let it be.

Okay.. on to today's card:

For this card I used Wee Stamps adorable . I added a bit of Stickles to the blue on his wings. I added some paint for the centers of the flowers. I added some dew drops and White Glitter Tape Ribbon. I stitched a big circle behind everything so that you could see parts of it around the image. The papers are all scraps. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. The image was colored with Copic Markers, but it is one of those images that has been just sitting there waiting for ages to be used. I can't remember which markers I've used on this one.

Good morning!

Today is the midway post for Challenge #23 at Open-Minded Crafting Fun!! The winners from Challenge #22 are posted this morning and you can come back for the midway post at noon! We want to see your fowl... or just your birds.. any birds! We have some great sponsors for this challenge and we want to thank them all SO VERY much!!!

And here is my creation for the Midway Post at Open-Minded:

For this I used Lisbeth on a Swing from MilkCoffee Stamps. I colored the image with Copic Markers. I used several dies for this card.. the border at the bottom, the actual shape of the card, the cut around the image and the flowers as well. The flowers are My Favorite Things I think.. I'm not sure what the bottom border is. The die around the image is Spellbinders and the card was cut using the Cameo. I added some stickles to the maroon flowers to add some sparkle to them. I used gems for the centers of the flowers and small yellow gems on the side of the image. I distressed the edge of the patterned paper. I did do a little bit of decoupage. I popped the birds, her hands and her legs.

Thursday at Meljen's Designs.

Good morning! Happy Wednesday!! I hope you all are having a great week so far! I have been super busy at work. Kevin started a job yesterday and I'm really a bit down about it. It was really lonely when I came home yesterday. I've been trying to work on cards when I get home. I have two done. I want to finish one more before the weekend.  That's about it!

Today is our Challenge #231 at Meljen's Designs and the theme is Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend! When I thought about this challenge I thought.. Hmm.. I need a diva and I need to add some gems! LOL  So here is what I came up with:

Of course.. trying to get some Christmas cards finished LOL I've opted for another Christmas design. I have used Santa Baby Diva. I colored her with Copic markers. I decoupaged her a bit.. I popped her head and her front arm and the puffs around her outfit. I have also added Stickles to those to add that glitter. I added the two Santa's on the side and the tinsel around the edge. I added the two red pearls and the gems around her for that diamonds part of the challenge :)  The sentiment was created by me.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Skin: E000, E0, E01, E11, E13
  • Red: R14, R35, R46, R59
  • Lips: R22, R14

Our first challenge is Ladies.. and here is what I have done for this challenge:

This is Elf Girl With Staff from SLS Lines Digital Stamps. She is colored with my Copic Markers. I cut the image with the Spellbinders die.. her feet are hanging off. I did pop her up above her cape and staff and that back arm. The sentiment is a stamp and I used a Spellbinders label die to cut the brown under it. I added a little bit of brown Distress Stickles. I added the three dew drops in the corner, the ribbon down the side and the stitching. The papers are strips and then distressed at one side and layered like that down the card. I layered the same way on the inside and stitched as well.
