Happy Friday Fun Day!.

I love Friday! I love Friday because even though I work, I get to stay at home with my slippers on! I don't have to hop up and get dressed! LOL Unfortunately, I do have to get dressed this morning, but I can take my time. I have to take my youngest to school early for 4-H Club and I have to meet Drama Club President at the bank at 9:00 am. Then it will be back home to work again.

Love this little turkey!! This is Tiny the Turkey from Digital Delights. I have had him colored up and decoupaged since last year! He has been sitting in my drawer waiting for me to put him on a card!!  So here he is:

Digital Delights is one of our sponsors over at Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenges! I'm really excited about that!  We have an amazing lineup of sponsors for next year!!

So, he was colored up with Copic. His body is popped up off his feathers and his little hand is popped around the sign. Then his beak is then popped as well above his body. I heat embossed the "Thanks" on the sign. I used some of my awesome fall papers from last year. I'm trying to use up those scraps!! I added distressing around the papers and stitching. The ribbon is from my stash and that and the button has been in my stash for a good 10 years LOL  I tied a little bit of brown and white twine in the button.. added the Memory Box die and wallah! I added some stitching on the inside as well. Oh! And I inked around the Kraft paper too. He is so cute!!  I would tell you which Copic I used, but I have no clue!! LOL  It was done too long ago :)

Challenge #72 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner Begins Today!!

Good morning everyone! Well... I survived all the girls and it was good to send them all home LOL! Bailey seemed to have a nice time though, so that's good.  She did have a bit of a clean up afterwards though. That was the deal though, everyone comes over, but you are responsible for putting the house back in order. Alright... I'm off soon to start my week. I hope you all have a great week ahead of you!

And today we dive into the world of Fantasy Creatures over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner with Challenge #72. I created two cards for our challenge this week:

This is my first card using our sponsor MilkCoffee's image - Soya: Spread the Seeds. Such a cutie!!! I fussy cut the image and popped the wings. I also used stickles on the wings to add some glitter to them. The rectangle die cut is a Spellbinders die. The two flourishes are from Cheery Lynn... it is the large and the small one. The sentiment is from a group of Thank You sentiments from Sentimental Susan. I tried to keep the colors simple by using a lot of white. I colored the image with Copic. And all the papers were from my box of scraps... I'm trying to use up some of my scraps!

Copic:
Green: YG01, YG05, YG07, YG17
Bag: E25, E37, E39
Hair: YR20, YR31, YR23, YR24
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Mouth:R89
Tongue: R22

Challenges:

Here is my second card! I used our other awesome sponsor, SKdigis! And these awesome three monsters, Happy Monster, Melting Monster and Silly Monster. I decided to use red, white and blue with this card. All the monsters were colored with Copic. I was able to use more scraps for this card too!! Yay!! I popped the eyes on these three and the little one tooth on the Silly Monster. LOL Cute aren't they! I made this a Happy Birthday card and I thought it would be great for a group card.. Happy Birthday from us all sort of thing!

Copic:
Red: R22, R24, R27, R29, R39
Blue: B21, B24, B28

Meljen's DT Day - I'm Thankful For ...

Thankful!!  Thankful!!  Thankful!!  Thankful!!  Thankful!!

I am thankful for so much every day! I'm thankful for the good Lord and all that he sacrificed for me. He is always there for me; always there for all of us! What a blessing!

I'm thankful for my wonderful family, my fiance Kevin and my three children. I have been so blessed. Three wonderful kids.. Taylor in college and doing so well - I'm so proud of her! Michael is a great boy.. he is kind and bright and we are working on him to get him more involved in things. Bailey .. she is bright and joyful. She jumps right into everything. And Kevin... He is my best friend! I can't wait to get him back home. I'm so thankful that I have him in my life.

I'm thankful for the great job that I go to each day and I am thankful I can support us all. I am thankful for being able to put a roof over our head and food on our table. My bosses are supportive and good to me. They are so flexible and allow me to have the schedule I need for my family. It has been great to be there and to work for all of them.

I'm thankful for loving friends.. especially my best friend Jia even though she is so far away now. She moved to Ohio, but I know she is always there for me when I need her. I can always count on Jia for anything.

I'm thankful for finding the church that we go to and being able to give back to them by giving my time to help in ways that I am able. It has been such a blessing to find the right church without having to search. They have been wonderful and getting more involved has been wonderful. I love being able to give back and I love being able to show and involve my kids so that they know how important it is.

I am thankful for the four wonderful Design Teams that I have been able to join and all of the wonderful crafters that I have met. Wow!! You all are so wonderful! How did I get so lucky?? So Thank You!! Thank you ALL!! You make my days brighter!

 Here is my card:

I used Meljen's Designs image - Teddy Pilgrims and Harvest Cornucopia. I used Copic on the pilgrims and my Prismacolor pencils on the Cornucopia. The papers are Reminisce - Autumn Harvest and Bo Bunny - Apple Cider. I also used Bo Bunny brads, Thickers and the burlap or whatever it is LOL. The base of the card is Bazzill Cardstock. I also stitched around the edge of the dotted paper.

Guest Designer at Use It Tuesday!!

Today I am so happy and honored to be a guest designer at Use It Tuesday!! So first, Thank you! Thank you for allowing me to be a guest designer at Use It Tuesday. Their theme today is: All About Being Thankful! I used a Tiddly Ink Image for this card - Wryn in the Fall. I just love Wryn!!

All of the paper was scrap paper except for the top layer which is Reminisce - Autumn Harvest. I love that paper. I love paper with words on them. The Be Thankful sticker is also from Reminisce. I layered it on some scrap paper. The corners are from Spellbinders, because of my corner envy lately.. I had to go out and get some! LOL I also used orange stickles, gem strips from Bo Bunny and teal ink and stitching.
Copic:
Dress and Socks - Y13, Y15, Y17
Jacket and Hat - BG15, BG45, BG49
Scarf, Mittens, Buttons - G20, G21, G82

Challenges:
Last night I took the kids out for dinner. We had a nice night out. It was a pretty rainy night and it's cooling down a bit. As we got out of the van and headed towards the building I slipped and face planted in the mud! All I could do was laugh... And the kids were all concerned until they started laughing LOL So all three of us outside laughing hysterically LOL Mud on me head to toe.. *shaking my head* So, I came inside and hopped in the shower. What a night! LOL

And it is Tuesday... I have a boat load of work to get done. I only took off two days and you would have thought I took off a week! It's going to take some time to get caught up! I'll just keep plugging away. I hope you all have a great day!

Thanks Pup {Card}

Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope you all have had a great week. It has been a long week for me and I haven't gotten any crafting done at all. I finally sat down tonight and got something done. Ya me!! LOL The positive thing about this past week was that I really got a LOT done at work and have managed to get ever so much closer to being caught up. A little bit to go, but I can see an end and that is some major progress!! It is amazing what someone that can help you out does to your work load!!

Immigration... We couldn't find my marriage certificate, so I had to send away for that. I sent the request overnight with a return overnight back to me. It is on its way to Kevin now and hopefully he will have it this week. The attorney did say that we can mail it without it, so I'm thinking we will get it out in the mail on Kevin's Tuesday... which is our Monday evening. I just want it to get there so we can get this last portion over with and get him home.  So, that is where we are there :)

This morning after Kevin went to bed, I went and laid back down.. I slept until almost noon!!! GEEZ!!! What the heck!! LOL I guess I was tired. And then Taylor was down from the college and stayed until after 4 pm. I think I was sort of pushing her out at that point. I was ready to sit down and start making something LOL My whole day was lost! So here is what I finally was able to come up with.

The image is Scruff and Bone from Just Ink Lined. Oh boy.. I could go crazy in their shop... I love so many of their images. I couldn't be happier when I found it!! LOVE that place!!! I've had the image done for a while... I did a bunch of images and have been trying to get them into cards LOL What I used:
Copic: C1, C3, C5, C7, E40, E41, E43, E33, E35, B0000, B02, R20, R21, R22
I used Diamond Glaze on the nose and slobber. I popped part of his face so he looked like he was holding the bone in his mouth and the slobber. Papers are all scraps. The pattered papers are from Echo Park. I used some Splatter Ribbon/Mesh and a brown ribbon that I had in my stash. The "Thanks Ever So Much" stamp is from Paper Smooches, Pretty Phrases. This was the first time I used my bow maker from 3 Girl Jam too! It was a little bow.. but wow.. I love it!! So much easier than me trying to do it with my flintstone fingers LOL

Happy Oh My Goodness Middle of the Week!

Yay! Wednesday Evening.. I'm so glad! It has been year end at work and the gals in Accounting have been driving me crazy for the last couple of days. I have concentrated on what they have needed for the last three days and everything else.. well.. we will just say it is piling up LOL! REALLY piling up! Emails unanswered, people dropping things off and stacking them up on my desk. I almost snapped at a couple of people today! Everything needs what they need NOW! Well.. I wasn't having any of that.. so I just told them they would have to wait. I tried to do it in a nice.. I'm sorry you just aren't that important right now in this moment of time way LOL But now it is over and I can spend the next couple of days trying to get caught up.. Yay me! *cry* *wimper*

I have been working on a card.. last night, this morning. I finished it this morning and I was going to do a post before I left for work but I had already taken my camera down to the van LOL Yes.. I carry it everywhere! To and from work... out to the store.. running down the street! You never know when you will see something you absolutely have to take a photo of! Like on my way home today.. there was this ITTY bitty most adorable bunny on the side of the road.. had to be a baby he was so tiny munching at the grass. Problem is.. I drove right by him and thought.. I will turn around and be right back.. just have to grab Bailey.. So a couple of minutes later I was headed back towards that baby and he was gone! Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!  Why oh why did I just not pull over and grab photos while I could *shaking my head* That will teach me!

So here is my card:

I used scraps and my little 6x6 Echo Park Paper Hello Summer that I received as a blog hop gift. I really love those patterned papers. I also used Silhouette dies for my scalloped circles. I used my sewing maching ..  I was playing around with some of the settings on it LOL Miscellaneous ribbons in my stash. I inked around the scalloped circles and used Butterscotch and Sailboat Blue Adirondack Color Wash on the silhouette digi stamp in the middle. That stamp is from Bugaboo Stamps.

Challenge entries:

I really need some more Thank You cards! Have a great rest of your night or rest of your day depending on where you are in the world! :)

I {Heart} Challenges

I really do love challenges and sketches! There are so many of them all over the blogs too! I can't believe how many you can find! It really helps to get me motivated and try new things. I'm hoping I can find an easy way to compile a list. Even with Feline Playful I find it hard to find what I'm looking for, especially if its for a layout or card. Right now I have them listed in a word document. There has to be an easier way to keep track of them all! \

I worked on one today. It is a card and I used a sketch from The Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge and I used the color scheme from 365 Cards: Day 121. I also used a free digital image which will work for the challenge at Totally Papercrafts Friday Challenges. The digital image was a freebie from Bugaboo Digital Stamps. I really love their images. And one last one, Bearly Mine Challenges. they have a Anything Goes Challenge going on right now. Also, the ribbon and bows challenge at Totally Stampalicious. And here is my card:

I used all scraps for this card. Black cardstock is bazzill and the cardstock with "sew" on it. Some of the papers are from Club Scrap and others are KI Memories. I used some black ribbon that I had. Thank you came from Nobody Sweeter Stamp set. I just coated the thank you and not the rest of it with my Noir Palette Hybrid Ink. The sew and much are some letter stamps that I have. I have no idea where they are from but I have a couple of different sets. I love them because they are just the perfect size for what I need a lot of times. I colored the mouse using Copics C2, C3, C5, C6 and 100. The needle is silver.. I used Adirondack Mixatives Silver to coat that.  The thread is just black DMC. I inked the frame behind the mouse with my cat's eye inks.. rouge for the large inking and then a combination of warm red and Dark Peony around the edges. And I think that's it. Oh!! And I LOVE my little floral frog! Got it on ebay.. I just love that thing! I kept seeing them everywhere and then when I finally figured out what it was and got one. LOVE IT! Its just perfect for cards. Entered Challenge Pretty in Pink @ 365 Cards

I got recognized at ScrapMuch? as the June Sketch Winner. Wow!  How great :)  THANK YOU!! I couldn't be more excited! I really enjoy the sketches there. I think I did a few of them last month. You should definitely check it out!

I was also so happy to be recognized at Let's Get Sketchy. I was recognized as one of the top three for the week. THANK YOU So much Let's Get Sketchy! I love the sketches and I look forward to them!! I really appreciate the recognition :)

Now it's time to get back to work. This should be a pretty easy week I hope. My best friend comes back in town on Wednesday so I will be spending the day with her. I will probably work from home Thursday and Friday. I love holiday weeks! Have a great Monday everyone!

Bailey

Bailey is my youngest.. she will be 11 on the 24th of next month. She is beautiful, has a great personality when you get to know her and has the most beautiful eyes. She can be really quiet if she doesn't know you.

She struggles in school with spelling and talking too much. She doesn't do well in writing, but I think part of that is the spelling and the other part is that she doesn't seem to know how to get what is in her head down on paper. It tends to be jumbled and not make sense a lot of the time. This is something we will have to work on. She barely passed the writing portion of her big test last year.

She is really terrible at blaming everyone else for everything that happens. She is one of those people that nothing is ever her fault. I'm really trying to work on that. I am not like that at all. I always admit when I make a mistake or I've done something wrong. I am only human. I'm trying to teach her that as well.. that it is okay to make mistakes and it is better to own up to it than to try to pass blame. She is a little better, but this is something that we will have to continue to work on.

She is also one of those people that has to "one up" you. You will say that you have a cut and she will have a sprained ankle. I have no idea where that trait came from, but it has to be the one trait in Bailey that I dislike the most. And the bad thing about it is that I have no idea how to correct that behavior. I try to point it out when she does it.

Once her older sister left the house she really stepped up the plate. She has been helping out around the house without much complaining. She gets the dishes done each night when it is her night. I never have to worry about waking up to it not done when it is her day.

I always felt like I wasn't really close to Bailey. She was always really close to her father and wanted to be around him, even if he wouldn't pay attention to her. She would play in the room downstairs while he was on the computer just to be near him. Once her father and I divorced I felt like her and I got a bit closer, but I really feel like we have grown closer since Taylor left the house. She has opened up more and wants to do things together. We are going this Saturday to a class at Archiver's. We will be making a Doodlebug Mini Album. She is really excited about going. In fact, she reminds every day.. "Don't forget about Saturday!".

Bailey did really well on her CRCT testing this year. She was above standard on almost everything. She really excels at Math and Science. That is definitely a girl trait in our family. I have always excelled and enjoyed math and science the most. So has Taylor and now Bailey. Michael enjoys the writing and Social Studies; Yuck!

She finished up the fifth grade this year; last year of Elementary School. Next year she will start 6th grade, which moves her up to the middle school. Her brother and her will be attending the same school, which also means that I will not be here when they head off to school each day. I really hope I can get Kevin back here by the time they start school or soon thereafter. I need him! It is so great having him here to get the kids off to school and to be here when they get home. They don't get on the bus until a bit after 8:30 am each morning. I am already at work and have been for a couple of hours.

So, Bailey will be my little crafting buddy. I posted a couple of pages she did a couple of posts back. She is pretty talented! She is really a great kid and it has been really nice getting closer to her.

=====================================
I did the last Dahlonega page last night. I had to use these last three photos so we can look back later and laugh. I love Kevin's sense of humor and that we can pick on each other. He really makes me laugh.

The old lady is creepy LOL  And she looked so real!! I used gold glimmer mist to keep with the gold theme of Dahlonega. Kevin likes to pick on us about living in Georgia and that we eat Roadkill. It couldn't have been more funny when we walked in a shop in Dahlonega and saw the Sun-Dried Georgia Possum and Roadkill Cafe sign. I used all club scrap papers, my favorite black ink pad by Palette, The Crafters Workshop Chicken Wire Template for my misting, and the journaling hand written with my favorite Millenium pen.

I wanted to get my first try at coloring with Copic on a card so I threw this together. I used all scraps for the card. The "thanks" was taken from part of a Stampin' Up stamp. I used the black and white twine from The Twinery and the black rhinestone gems. Entered in Challenge Filler'er Up @ 365 Cards

Thanks for looking and I hope you all have wonderful Thursday!! Woohoo!! I love Thursdays because I get to work on home on Fridays!!
