Simple Easter Card

With Easter just around the corner, I wanted to try making some cards with the new Big Shot Plus Starter Kit. I love the pretty pastel themes that go along with Easter crafts, so I chose to use the free Sizzix Easter papers which can be downloaded here.

I started by embossing some blue scrapbooking paper using the embossing folder from the Big Shot Plus Starter Kit. I then used one of the starter kit dies to make an embellishment trim for the front of the card.

I printed the free yellow polka dot papers onto white card stock and cut out an A6 rectangle using a craft knife and metal ruler.

Using a bone folder, I folded the A6 cardstock piece in half and then used a punch to give the card rounded corners.

I cut out two 'bunny ears' using pink card stock and added foam sticky pads to the top of the ears to fix them to the card front.

The free papers also included some little Happy Easter banners which I fixed at the bottom of the bunny ears with double sided sticky tape. I used a glue stick to attach the embossed die cut along the bottom of the card.

And that's it! A cute little pastel Easter card which doesn't take long to make at all.

I am definitely going to be doing more Easter crafting over the next week (it may also involve consuming a few chocolate eggs too!).

Have a super crafty Sunday!

Spring Cards: Two little birdies

Hi everyone!
Today I wanted to show you card designs that are really quick and easy to make for Easter/Spring.
To make the card a set, I like to stick the same basic design and give each card a twist of its own.

Anna Drai - big shot - card - easter - pasqua - tutorial (1)

Items used:
Sizzix Big shot machine (655268)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Squares (657565)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 6PK w/Stamps – Banners (658289)
Sizzix Bigz Die - Leaves (657119)
Sizzix Bigz Die - Owl #2 (657694)
Sizzix Originals Die - Circles #4 (657020)
cardstock: pink, white, orange
patterned papers
felt
twine
distress ink
sequins
two-sided tape, glue...
yarn
sewing machine

How to make:

1- Fold a piece of pink cardstock in half to create a square card base approx  10,5 cm.
2- Use the second square of Framelits die to cut a square from cloud paper. Distress ink the edges. Glue to the front of the card.
3- Cut out two little banners, then layer together.
4- Adhere a stripe of spotty green paper to the below side of the card. Distress ink the edges. Sew around with white yarn.
5- Cut out a big leaf from spotty pink paper. Remove the leaf-stalk. Cut out a little white circle, design the eye and glue in the body of bird.
6- Cut a little banner from orange paper and cut with a scissor to make a beak.
7- Cut out two little heart from felt, one to make a wing, one to make the tail.
8- Cut a piece of twine and tie the ends. Fold the twine and glue behind the body to make the legged bird.
9- Adhere the bird with a two-sided tape. Accent with sequin to finish.

Now you’ll have a sweet little birdie card all ready to send off to a friend!
Thanks for stopping by to my quick little post.
Happy Easter!

Flag_of_Italy Per le amiche italiane! :)

Ciao a tutti!

Vi spiego come fare...

Materiali:

Sizzix Big shot machine (655268)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Squares (657565)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 6PK w/Stamps – Banners (658289)
Sizzix Bigz Die - Leaves (657119)
Sizzix Bigz Die - Owl #2 (657694)
Sizzix Originals Die - Circles #4 (657020) cartoncino: rosa, bianco, arancione
carte fantasia: rosa, verde, celeste/nuvole
piccoli ritagli di feltro, colori in tono
spago
inchiostro distress
pennarello nero
paillettes
biadesivo spessorato, colla ...
opzionale: macchina da cucire, filo

Come fare:

Buona Pasqua!

Happy Easter

 By Loredana Bucaria

Hello everyone!
Happy Easter! We all from the Sizzix staff wish you a very wonderful day, a day spent with family or friends, outside, walking, smiling, wish you all a very happy Easter!

For today I wish you a Happy Easter with a special project:)
If you still have to create something to donate for Easter this is the project just for you! Very simple, very adorable and so funny to make!!

Materials you need:
  • eclips machine... you know I love it completely!
  • eclips cartridge holiday (item code 656167)
  • eclips cartridge albums, bags & boxes (item code 656856)
  • lilla, pink, white and grey card stocks
  • Bella Boulevard spring& easter things alpha+bits
  • Bella boulevard chipboards sophisticates cloud and borders
  • watercolor pencils
  • brush
  • water
  • some little strass
  • ribbons
  • glue or double side tape
  • sewing machine if you like
I love so much to use the eclips machine especially when I want to create something completely handmade! The cartridges I've mentioned above are amazing, really!

From the album , bags and boxes I have selected the basket, you can choose the size you prefer and the machine will create the bag for you :) Very simple, very quick, very funny!!!

I simply built it with glue and I have decorated it with some little details: ribbons, stickers, borders and a little rabbit, that is really cute!!!

The rabbit is from the second cartridge I mentioned above, for this you can choose the size and the shape, solid, shadow, pieces, this allows you to create your own design and play with a lot of different details, to color or to put together using different colors of card stock! A lot of fun!
I have cut two rabbits, one shadow and the other normal. I've used watercolor pencils to give to the rabbit a more cool touch :) I love the pink of the legs and  ears.

Simply adhere with glue or double side tape your favorite stickers and embellishments and add some ribbons.

Take a look :)

For the card I have made the same:) I used eclips machine for the rabbit... I love it, it's so cute! and for the greetings:) Shadow and normal shapes together for a very cool result! I added some borders and just do it!!!! use watercolor pencils to color your rabbit with soft touches:) You just need of a tiny brush:)

Happy Easter everyone! I wish you a wonderful day full of peace and serenity!
