Watercolour hello card

Hi Sizzix friends!!!

This week has started a new month, light changes, colours change too … So today I wanted to show you a cute card I’ve created inspired on September, that includes a step by step to create this watercolour background.

I’ve used the embossing folder botany decoration for the background and to achive the watercolour effect I’ve used my distress ink. I’ve also used the floral wreath, the layering frames and the hello word dies to create this cute card.

Here are the steps for the background:

Ink the embossing folder with distress ink.

Spray with water all the surface.

Make the sandwich using a watercolour paper.

This is the beautiful result of this process !!!

Now is time to die-cut all the pieces:

The magnetic platform is a good choice to use with the thinlits!!!

I’ve also used the brush to remove the die-cuts.

And here are more detailed images of the card:

These leaves are beautiful !!!

To create this card I’ve also used fabric in one of the layers and I've glued the different layers using the 3D adhsesive foam.

I have used the following Sizzix products:

Other products:
  • Cardstock
  • Chipboard
  • Fabric
  • Adhesive pearls
  • Distress ink

I hope this  watercolour effect  card has inspired you.  Thanks for your visit!

Have a creative and happy Friday!

  • Carturlina
  • Cartón gris prensado
  • Tela
  • Perlas adhesivas
  • Distress ink

¡Feliz y creativo viernes!

Handbag notebook

Hi Sizzix friends!!!

It’s Friday again, so I’ve prepared a notebook which is perfect to keep in my handbag to be able to take good inspirational notes on it!!! It’s not a big notebook I like to change frequently, so this 10x15cm size  is perfect for me!

I haven’t added a lot of details to prevent damage the cover on my handbag. The burlap had to appear on my notebook, I love this material!!! And of course some little piece of sparkly paper die-cut, and this candy hearts embossment.

Another material I like to use on my notebooks are the corrugated cardstock, in this case in black colour.

Some details of the notebook:

The layering frame  in sparkly yellow paper, and the inside in white cardstock where I’ve stamped “notes”

The candy hearts embossment with a black clip to match the corrugated
and the stamped of the notebook.

And another stamp detail.

As I’ve liked the result, I have prepared another one for my penpal.

I have used the following Sizzix products:

I hope you have enjoyed my new handbag notebook. Thanks for your visit!

Have a creative and happy Friday!

"Hello and Be Happy" Tags

Hey guys,
I hope you are doing well? :) Last week I met some friends and I wanted to make something for them. Of course it should be made from paper. ;) And next to cards I think that tags are a good idea to give away.

At first I die cutted my tags and the sentiment in one step out of my cardstock. I love how simple it is to make things like these with the Magnetic Platform - it is a must-have! ;)

With one of my favorite stamp set (hey, it includes a lot of ampersands! That´s totally awesome. ;) ) I made some marks on the cardstock with versamark. No embossing powder. Just my stamps and the versamarkt ink pad to get this watermark style.

Glue all things together and you are ready! ;)

Are you making tags? Do you just making them for gift wrapping, or to give away as home decor for the workspace wall? I´m curious, tell me. :)

Here is the list of supplies I used:
White and brown cardstock, twine, Versamark
Ampersand Stamp Set by October Afternoon

Have a nice weekend, xo Julia

Watercolor Birthday Card and a Pillow Box

Hey everybody,
for some reason I love matching birthday sets. A cute card with a matching box for a small gift are always a fun idea. Yesterday, I had the chance to give away this summer set.

Before I used the Intricate Tribal Florals Thinlits to create these pretty flowers, I prepared watercolor paper with some paint. Just a little tipp: use a lot of water and let the color drop into it! So the color can swim wherever it wants to.

And use the magnetic platform for die cutting! It´s just awesome that your thinlits stay were you put them on and don´t slide away. ;)

Do you like this set? Tell me what you think about it. :)

List of supplies I used:
Sizzix Big Shot Plus Starter Kit (White & Gray) #660515
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 5PK - Intricate Tribal Florals
Sizzix Accessory - Cutting Pads, Standard, 1 Pair (Mint)
Sizzix Accessory - Standard Magnetic Platform for Wafer-Thin Dies
Sizzix Pillow Boxes
Watercolor paper and paint, brushes
Light green cardstock and vellum
Heat tool and white embossing powder, versamark stamp pad

Have a nice weekend and a lot of sun in your life! :)

Colourful coasters for summer!

Hi Sizzix friends!!!

During the summer holiday it’s time to create something beautiful with our children. In this case we have decorated colourful coasters. We’ve passed a good time together trying colours and die-cutting.
Let us show you these fun coasters!

To create these coasters we have used standard cork coasters. Then we decided the colours to paint them and the dies to create girly coasters and boy coaters.

These are the materials we have used:

My Big Shot Plus, Layering daisy #2 dies, layering daisy die, splat die, die brush, cork coasters, different colours cardstock, acrylic paint, a paint brush and gel medium.

And here are the few steps to decorate them:

First we have paint in different colours one of the faces of the coasters.

Then we’ve die-cut in different colours cardstock the shapes we liked for each coasters. We’ve used the magnetic platform to die-cut with the thinlits.

We have die-cut big flowers to match the little ones.

Finally we’ve made our own combination and glued using the gel medium. We have also applied gel medium all over the top of the coasters to prevent from damaging the paper.

Here are more details images:

 This is my favourite combination!!!

And this is the favourite of  my younger son.

Now we are ready to receive our friends at home and invited them to a delicious juice using these fabulous coasters!

We have used the following Sizzix products:

I hope you have enjoyed these colourful and fun coasters. Thanks for your visit!

Have a creative and happy Friday!
