Running late.

Here, look at this! My suppressed, Glock 17, Tac Light, and 33 round mag.

I need another model

I am in search of another subject for a photo shoot.

This time I would like her to be an actual shooter. I want to avoid having to make someone who has never touched a gun look like an experienced shooter.

I am in Northern VA and you would get copies of all photos we take for your own use.

Send me a private email if you are interested.

--It's spring! We can shoot outside!

Photography

This year I will be stepping up the photography on my blog. To that end I took a class last night on studio techniques and working with professional models.

The main thing I learned is that I really need to get a quality light meter. I also learned that there is a huge difference between a professional model and an amateur.

The class also provided a tone of advice how to direct subjects that are not professionals. This will be the most likely scenario for me as I want to take photos of people that are actual shooters in stead of models.

The class also addressed various types of release contracts as well. All great information.

I got a college degree in photography in 1980 and I am amazed how much of the info I have retained.

I am also amazed how much people will pay for camera gear when they are just doing it for fun.

--I guess you can say the same about me with guns.

Photography

I am taking a photography class on Monday. It's all about studio lighting and working effectivly with models.

This year I want to begin doing a lot more original photography that highlights my favorite firearms. Like my Saiga 12 guage.

--She tells me that the thing weighs a ton!

Happy Friday!

DPMS HBAR
I have been doing more photography recently. I'm really enjoying it.

I think my next photo session will be outside on a nice day. Maybe as early as this weekend!

My new range allows photos in the lanes. I am hoping to get some of people actually shooting there.

I am also enjoying using Photoshop on the images to tune them up to the way I like.

--This image turned out OK but I may have manipulated it a bit too much!
