FUSION - Peach Birthday

I LOVE the inspiration photo this week; it's GORGEOUS, IMO. I'm not sure I love how this turned out, but I do think it's pretty. 😀

I used the Taylored Expressions Make a Rainbow; worked great. I then used Taylored Expressions Rough Draft Background and embossed with Liquid Platinum. I used this gorgeous die from Erin Lee, Oh Happy Day, I die cut it from the main panel and also from Kraft card stock 5 times and layered them up to create the dimension. I layered the main panel on Kraft card stock and Kraft designer paper, then adhered to a Pumpkin card base.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you are doing well!

Fusion Challenge Inspiration

I love the Fusion Challenge (photo below); goodness, those colors just make me swoon; wish I had a die cut to create my own little wooden basket of flowers. BUT...I don't, but I DID have some wood-grain paper that I thought would work great. AND...I tried my hand at water coloring again. I actually created two cards; I really like this one...the other one? Meh, not so much. LOL But...as everyone says, keep practicing!

Once I colored the image and added some shading with colored pencils, I fussy cut the image and layered over the wood-grain circle mounted with fun foam. The word 'happy' is a Heidi Swapp die and the smaller greeting comes from Right at Home (script greetings) which I embossed on a strip of vellum.

I used the Tim Holtz stencil (3rd one in the group) and sponged randomly using Spun Sugar. Even though it's a pretty simple card, sure took me days to complete!

CAS Fusion Hello Challenge

Hi friends! Hope you had a great weekend!

I'm back with an incredibly CAS (clean and simple) card using the Tim Holtz carzy birds stamp set (PS - the stamps and die combo are on sale right now, check it out!).

I stamped the image on Bristol paper in Hero Arts intense black ink and colored with Zig Clean Color brushes - but sadly, I ended up with some serious pilling of the paper. :( I set it aside to dry, came back and finished it off with colored pencils. I added a blue outline and faded it out then stamped the Hello from Right at Home Script Greetings repeatedly in PTI Dark Chocolate, MFT Natural and Kraft. It just looked a bit too plain when I was done, so I grabbed MFT's Sun Ray Stencil and added some rays using PTI Vintage Cream. I then layered the image on to some MFT designer paper, layered it all on to some Dark Chocolate card stock and voila, that's it. Easy peasy!

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a great week!

Hugs!

Fusion Challenge - Bright Butterfly

Hi friends! I was so drawn to the colors in the inspiration photo at the Fusion Card Challenge (see below) that I had to play along. LOVE smooshing some distress ink colors onto Tim Holtz water color paper - Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed. I used the elegant MFT Dienamics Rose with Overlay and cut the overlay piece from PTI's True Black card stock. The butterfly is from Heidi Swapp and was painted with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Paint and I finger painted on some black enamel accents. I added a layer of glossy accents to the butterfly, stamped the sentiment on a vellum flag and layered everything onto a piece of True Black card stock embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

Super simple, yet the colors really pop off the black. And look how elegant that flower is when you add a layer of Clear Wink of Stella - SWOON!

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a GREAT week. Take care now, ya hear?

Hugs,

Curtain Call + Fusion

Hi friends - how are you? Hope you've had a great weekend!

I wanted to create a card using the inspiration photo at Curtain Call (HERE) and combine it with the adorable inspiration at Fusion (HERE) (photos below also). GAH - could either be more adorable!!

I started out with the smoother side of some Tim Holtz water color paper and sponged on several distress inks (from top to bottom): Festive Berries, Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Faded Jeans. The rest is very simple; cut two hearts with MFT's Pierced Heart STAX dies, one in Pink Pirouette stamped with MFT's Damask background, the larger from MFT's Neutral and stamped with their Linen background. Each heart is mounted with a double layer of dimensional tape. I added some ribbon from my stash and the sentiment from Verve Visual's Love Notes in MFT's Hot Fudge ink.

Inside

Added a couple layers on the inside using Mama Elephant's Femme Frame dies, more ribbon and a wooden heart colored with Copics, added a layer of Clear Wink of Stella and glossy accents.

Thanks for popping in - hope you have a great week ahead of you!

Hugs,
