"Sunset Glory Over Crater Lake"

Crater Lake, Oregon is one of Jim's favorite places to photograph...whether it be summer, fall, winter or spring. He captured this gorgeous sunset behind Wizard Island one August evening. It is sooo peaceful. I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as he did taking it!

"Good Night, Medford"

Now that my cat statue is finished, I want to share some of my favorite photos that my honey, Jim has taken. (I didn't forget about you, Jim!)

He loves taking photos of sunrises and sunsets, for the obvious reason: the gorgeous colors! This one is overlooking Medford, Oregon, at sunset, just after dark, where he captured the twinkling lights of the town.

If you'd like to see more of his photography, just click on Our Yessy Gallery, under Favorite Links in the right column. :-)

Enjoy,

These latest photos show some of the last misc components of the composition...I'm on the home stretch now! Just need to tweak a few things...add some color sparkle here and there, and I will post the whole cat soon.

WIP #6 Little Cat's 4 Season Fantasy

Been in Snow country this week...painting the Winter scene from Little Cat's fantasy. The white tiger looked strange before it's stripes were added! But now he's looking quite handsome, hanging out in front of his ice cave, surveying his domain. And of course, what snow scene would be complete without a white snow bunny. ;-)

Happy Painting,

WIP #5 Little Cat's 4 Season Fantasy

The Lion now has late-summer grasses and a pile of fall leaves to hide amongst...look out!

Here is the view as the scene shifts from fall into winter...which is what I am starting to work on now. The underpainting was already laid in, and now I am having fun developing the scene.

Happy Painting,
Loretta

Butterfly speaks!

A couple of weeks ago I talked about my inspiration for the cat statues I am painting...my kitty Butterfly. I posted photos of her as she looked then ...WELL! She was indignant, and wants me to update her photo. According to her, she is a BIG girl now. ;-)

Happy Painting,
