Being from Minnesota, I found your Maryland dialect tutorial very helpful and loads of fun since I have an online friend from Baltimore county. | My name is Lowell Grieves, my father who died in 1970 was George Grieves, and my grandfather who died in 1962 was Lowell Grieves- My great great grandfather John Grieves came from Selkirk Scotland in 1860 and started a woolen mill in Lacon ILL where several generations of my family were employed. We visited Selkirk several years ago and noticed many graves marked Grieve-- but no Grieves! | |||
