Black and white with blue Chipboard Card

The polka dot velvet patterned paper is by the Doodlebug. The white, black, blue, layers are chipboard pieces layered on top of each other. The blue chipboard is by Colorbok and the others are by American Crafts. The sentiment is by Fiskars.

I’m going to try and explain this ribbon thing so that the future me will understand, maybe.

The ribbon is two sided; one side is black and the other is black with white polka dots. So what you’re seeing is both sides of the ribbon because the ribbon goes around the whole stack of chipboard you see the side with polka dots closest to the card base and when it comes out from behind the back you see the polka dots pattern. When it goes around the front, it passes through the belt buckle shaped chipboard and up to the top with the black facing front. Then I stapled them in place. It’s going to cost a little bit (a lot) of postage to mail it but it will be worth it.

 Thanks for looking.

Triple layered Pink Hello card

I rarely make a card without stamps on it. But there are no stamps on my card today.

The sentiment sticker is by Pebbles and is on a label sticker by Close to my Heart

The scalloped square die-cuts are by Spellbinders.
The round die-cut on top of them is by My Mind's Eye

The patterned paper is by Cosmo Cricket
The ribbon that I wrapped around the corners is by Offray

Red Crossing Ribbon with Eyelets Card

So what do you think...could I use this design to represent stitches from surgery and send as a get well card??
It would need something else to tie that together because right now it looks like a corset or maybe shoelaces.

Anyway,
The background stamp is by Stampin Up.
It was heat embossed with clear embossing powder and inked with red distress ink.

The eyelets are by Making Memories and the ribbon is from Michael's.

The paper underneath the ribbon was scrap paper that I sprayed with Glimmer Mist  by Tattered Angels.

I could not get these pieces to lay flat on the card. It drove me nuts but I had to move on.

These were the pieces I used to make this card.

Here is a  close up of the glimmer mist and the back side of the ribbon and eyelet piece of paper.

Easter basket cards

For today's three cards, I used the same basket stamp from a dollar basket at Michael’s (no pun intended). I colored it in with colored pencils and Copic markers. I inked the edges with yellow distress ink. And then adhered it to the card with a piece of foam in order to be the height of the chipboard corner pieces that are by Making Memories. The patterned paper is by Scrap Happy.

The second card, the die cut is by Sizzix with ribbon by Offray weaved thru the holes on the scallop edges of the oval scallop die-cut to create this image. Something different for me but kind of cute. The patterned paper is by Doodlebug.
For the third card, I used patterned paper by Imaginisice and a border sticker by Doodlebug. Besides the cardstock from my stash, that’s all for this card.
I included this picture of all three cards made with the same stamp. The comparison is interesting to see the different looks you can achieve with the same stamp.
Quick side note on card bases: I’m disappointed in the card stock used on the third's card base. The card will not stay standing up. It just slides open.
I hate to say it and pay for it but it’s time to invest in a heavier weight card stock for my horizontal card bases.

Green Ribbon with different wrap around the blue cardstock

I wrapped and adhered the green ribbon around the small square of cardstock. Then I continued the ribbon to wrap around just the bottom of the dark cardstock. The die-cut is from a K and Co Poppy Seeds. Simple. A different way to wrap a ribbon around your card.

Manly Monday Antique Globe

Post edited April 2021. See sidebar for explanation

Today my masculine card uses the Antique Globe stamp by Deep Red Stamp and you can find it at
and

I stamped the globe with Hero Arts black ink onto white cardstock by Recollections. I colored it in with colored pencils by Stampin Up. Then I die cut the image out with a Design Objectives die and inked the inside with distress ink. I die cut a scallop square by Spellbinders and adhered it behind the image. The brown paper that has been embossed by a Darice wood grain folder is by Making Memories and the brown cardstock used in the scallop square and the back background is from Joann's.
The sentiment is a stencil called Birthday Words by Dreamweaver Stencils that I applied white embossing paste to the ribbon. It adds another fun texture to the card. Ribbon and brads are unknown.

Welcome back to Manly Monday. I have a great selection of masculine cards to share with you today. As always, please click on the blog name above the photo clip to be directed to the blog post of the masculine card.

Mother's Day with Ribbon technique card

I made this Mother's Day card using patterned paper and aqua cardstock by Bazzill. The white cardstock is by Recollections with the die cut and border by Spellbinders. The flower is from Prima, stamp by Hero Arts, and ink by Stampin Up.

The ribbon is weaved into the white cardstock using a Sew Ribbon by We R Memory Keepers. I love this thing. I need to get a few other designs that they sell.

Thanks for looking.

Best wishes/Happy Birthday

I used the We R Memories Keepers ribbon thing to create the line in the center. Then I stamped on scraps of white paper the two Hero Arts sentiments Best Wishes and Happy Birthday. I'm not sure I love the diagonals but they are growing on me. The background is a Hero Arts stamp that I heat embossed using white embossing powder. Then I took my ink blending tool and distress inks to make it the tan in the center and darker towards the edges. I matted that piece onto some brown cardstock.
Thanks so much for looking.

Chalk Ah Lot challenge- Baby card with Laundry

Chalk-Ah-Lot challenge New with chalk continues.
Link up HERE (gone)
I chose to do a new baby card using this clothesline border stamp. I colored in the image using powder chalk and bubbles. It gives a great look. I also inked the edges with chalk ink. The background is also a Stamp N Plus stamp that I stamped multiple times turning it to create this fun whimsical look. The pink chalk by Stamp N Plus is called Cotton Candy.
The pink and purple ink I used is chalk ink by Colorbox. The black is by Hero Arts. The ribbon is by Offray. It's hard to tell but there is a piece of pink ribbon with purple on top of it. The buckle is by Making Memories. The patterned paper is by Daisy D's.

The sentiment would be fabulous for baby announcements. Below is a picture of all the sentiments that come with this one. They are not posted on the Stamp N Plus website but you can order them by calling Luann at 715-271-1873

These are the challenges that I linked up to in 2013:

When I do some random housecleaning on my posts, I keep the original the original post of there of the card. A timeline as to what design team I was on, what products was I using at that time, and the number of challenges I would link up to. It baffles me to think of the time spent doing all of that. So, with that being said...

Kids blowing bubbles on Easter Scrapbook Layout

I finally made a LO. These boys are my nephews at Easter 2009. The chipboard is by Making Memories. The frame around the title is ribbon that bunched up. I did sew on some seams and hand stamped some names. Thanks for looking.
