Favorite Person - Spellbinder's November Die D-Lites Release

Hello! I was recently given the opportunity to play with some new Spellbinder's dies - I'm popping in tonight with a card using one of the Spellbinder's Die D-Lites released in November that I received to play with! My package seemed to be a bit delayed, so I got them a little later than I planned - but couldn't wait to pull out and use this darling I {Heart} Puppies silhouette dies! SOOO cute!

I die cut all 3 of the cute pups from black cardstock, and the accesories from white cardstock. I used Copics to color each of the accessories very simply, then adhered them together.

I planned my layout on my white cardbase, then used pieces of Post it Tape to mask out where the dogs were going to stand, and blended just a touch of coordinating Distress Oxide inks behind where they would sit - this gives such a fun little pop of color, and allows the dogs to have a "ground" to stand on - LOVE how this idea worked!

I added some black splatters to the background with my Pinkfresh Licorice liquid watercolors, a couple of thin trimmed strips of black cardstock on the bottom of the cardbase, and a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's Playful Messages stamp set - stamped on a strip of white cardstock, trimmed apart, and mounted with foam adhesive.

Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means that if you use one of the links below, I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thanks so much for supporting my blog, and stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Joy to the World Trees - Take 2

Good morning! I'm back yet again to share another card featuring more of the new release from Simon Says Stamp. I just had to use the lovely Lined Trees Dies again!

Did some distress ink blending, then added some flicks of water and gold and black mist. I attached the trees with tiny dots of Ranger Multi-Medium, but only in the centers, leaving them free to move at the top and bottom for dimension. That large "Joy" was embossed with gold glitter powder to make it shine! Added a tiny bit of torn vellum along the bottom just to ground those trees.

All supplies used are linked below - thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!

Dimensional Flower Card with Video

Good morning! About a month ago, I made a set of cards using the Simon Says Stamp and Winnie and Walter STAMPtember exclusive stamp set - Big Bloom. I had a request on my Instagram page for a video showing how I did it. Took me a long time to get it done - but finally, here it is!

Here is the video (you can find my Youtube channel HERE):

Other than that, everything is pretty much the same for this card as the others! If you need any more info, you can refer to that post HERE!

Blog Birthday Giveaway #5 - Simon Says Stamp

Good evening!!! So - this little blog is celebrating FIVE years this month - on October 20th!!! I can hardly believe it has been that long, and yet in some ways I don't remember not doing this. I have been SOOOO incredibly blessed by all the amazing people I have met through this hobby - and so incredibly lucky to work with some AMAZING products and companies. To celebrate I have lined up TONS of giveaways from some of these amazing places. HUGE thanks to each of them for their generous donations of prizes - I'm super excited to be able to share them with you!

So, today's giveaway is a good one I'm telling you! Simon Says Stamp has super generously donated a $50 gift certificate to one lucky winner! YAY!!! I'm excited to begin working with them starting this month, and sharing lots of fun projects using some of their exclusive stamps, dies, inks, cardstock, and more! SSS has just finished celebrating STAMPtember - a month long celebration of stamping, marked by some amazing release and exclusive collaborations with lots of amazing companies! They also carry a large line of just about anything craft related that you could want or imagine. They have an active blog - full of fabulous inspiration, and two wonderful challenge blogs - the Monday Challenge Blog, and the Wednesday Challenge Blog, with weekly challenges and giveaways.

I used one of the adorable STAMPtember releases from SSS to make my card below:

I used the adorable new SSS Warm Christmas Wishes stamp set, stamped with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid ink, and colored with Copics on Copic X-press it Blending cardstock. I don't have the matching dies, so I just fussy cut them out. I layered them with my favorite foam adhesive together with some pattern paper from Basic Grey's 6x6 Juniper Berry paper pad, and the red gingham which is from My Mind's Eye Sleigh Bells Ring 6x6 paper pad (no longer in stock at SSS, but there are some items from that line that you can still find HERE). I rounded one corner using my nice and hefty We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper, and tied some black May Arts jute twine around, threading through a hole in the rounded corner before tying. Finished off with some enamel dots and a bit of Glossy Accents on the sunglasses and the lights on the trees!

You can enter the giveaway below using Rafflecopter - this is my first time using this method for a giveaway, but since I have so many to do this month I thought it might help make it easier! So - if there are any bumps along the way, please forgive me as I figure them out?

All giveaways will stay open until the 20th (the official birthday date!) and I will announce all winners that day! If you already follow on Pinterest, Youtube, or Facebook - feel free to leave your name for each day of giveaways, no need to be a new follower only!

Have a wonderful day - and good luck!

Hello I Miss You - SSS Splash of Color Release

Good morning! I was going to post this yesterday, and the day just got away with me! I returned home from our last trip on Tuesday evening to a big pile of mail - and one of the things I found in that stack was a fun little package full of goodies from the brand new upcoming Simon Says Stamp release! I was pretty excited to break them out and play with them, combining them with a couple things from the last two releases that I hadn't had a chance to play with yet! Here is what I made:

I started off with the fun new Splashy Waves Wafer Dies - they layer so fun together! I then used Firework Bursts Wafer Dies to create a sunburst on a panel of white paper. I inked the sunshine with some of the brand new Apricot Ink (LOVE!), and the waves with Spring Rain ink from the last release. I added some "spray" from the waves using the tiny dots from Cone Building Stamp set. Sentiments came from Lila's Heart Stamp Set. There is some Crate Paper pattern paper layers, washi tape, wood veneer stars, some black ink splatters, jute twine, and a few sequins from the Simon Says Stamp Fall Festival pack to finish it all off.

This release is fabulous - I adore the new ink colors! There is also a huge blog hop today full of inspiration to check out!

Thanks for dropping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Crazy Birds

Good morning! Super excited to share a fun trio of cards I made with the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy stamp set - these crack me up every time, and I absolutely LOVE playing with them! Here is a quick peek at all 3 cards - and then I have close ups of each one below:

I also made this for a few challenges - first up, the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. This actually worked for two days - the birds were all done one day, and I added the coloring under them the next day!

Simon Says Monday Challenge - One Stamp, Many Ways (I one stamp SET for the images, and one for the sentiments):

Also linking up with the Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday Challenge - Spring (what is more spring than birds? Even when they look this silly!):

Now - here are close ups of each one! I paired them up with sentiments from Simon Says Stamp's Inside and Out Sentiments - although I used all the sentiments on the front.

I used Jennifer Mcguire's technique of coloring with pigment ink for these images. Love how it worked!

I used some Memento Luxe ink in a couple different color combos, and just dipped my finger in, and smeared it around.

I then covered them with clear embossing powder and heat embossed for the same shine she had on her projects.

I fussy cut them out, and then paper pieced them onto my card base to make sure the legs and finer details showed up.

I re-stamped on white cardstock, and fussy cut out the eyes, then paper pieced those on so they were nice and clear and white - then covered them with a nice heavy and thick coat of Glossy Accents (then waited FOREVER for it to dry!) :)

Finally, I stamped my sentiments, then added some grounding under them with some Copic Markers (I actually did this the next day after everything had dried. Here are some close up pictures of each bird showing the texture from the embossing powder:

So cute and fun! These are quickly becoming a new favorite!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

You are Amazing!

Hello! So, last night I had a bit of time and thought I would sit down and play along with a challenge I have been wanting to do for a while - the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge. This month they are teaming up with Lawn Fawn, so I REALLY wanted to join in. So...I sat down and made the first card, remembered to use both Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Exclusive stamps - and realized when I finished that I TOTALLY forgot the other important requirement: Get Crafty with Kraft! I added the jute twine bow, but it still seemed like not quite enough! So...I remade it to work in some more kraft color on a second card. I guess the bonus is that I end up with two cards, right?

Anyway - here is the first card:

I used the bunnies from the Lawn Fawn set called Snow Day, and the sweet little heart - and the sentiment from Simon Says Inside and Out Sayings for both cards, but colored them up in gray and used torn gray cardstock under the edge on the first one. The scallops were cut with a Mama Elephant die, and the pattern paper is from American Crafts.

And...here is the one officially for this challenge! :)

Flickr Co-Challenge by bdengler4 (Barb Summers Engler)

On this one, I colored the bunnies up with "kraft" colors, and used torn kraft cardstock behind the front panel. Used the larger heart (just to change things up a little!) and a slightly different pattern paper.

I also used my BRAND NEW MISTI on this - which was wonderful, because it allowed me to stamp the heart two times to get as rich and deep and dark a color as I wanted, and to be sure it would be in the exact same place.

Thanks for dropping by today! Hope you are having a wonderful day!!!
