this 1969 GTO Judge Ram Air V special order factory drag racer was found in a police impound in 2005... with only 54 miles on the odo. Because the internet and cell phones weren't around then, it sold for only $4600.00

After several talks with Pontiac experts, he found out the car was a dealer race car. The nephew of the Pontiac dealership’s owner had ordered the vehicle specifically for drag racing, then had it delivered to Leader Automotive in Troy, Michigan, for some fine-tuning wizardry, a speed shop owned by John DeLorean's brother

On top of the Ram Air IV motor, the Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 automatic, and the Safe-T-Track rear end with 4.33 gears, a ‘Special Equipment’ box was also checked out on the order form. That meant no radio, sound deadener, or seam sealer – all in the name of weight saving.
