Vintage Fall Themed Cards

Hello and Happy Fall.  So excited to share these cards I created using Vintage images cut out and layered over some Tim Holtz die cut skeleton leaves.  I cut the leaves from paper I created using oxide inks and the smooshing technique.

The little gold embellishments are Diamond Dots.  Love those little things they are perfect for everything.  The patterned paper is some old Fancy Pants paper from a 6x6 pad. Finally I added some black twine.
I think the set turned out perfect.
Thank you so much for stopping by!   Hope your enjoying the first few days of Fall.

Delightful Daisy Cards

Happy Weekend.  I've been trying to get back into my craft room every week creating something new.  This week I was inspired by the Lawn Fawnatics color challenge and a few Lawn Fawn dies and stamps to create these slimline cards  I used Delightful Daisy as my main focal point, and the Happy Birthday, Hello and Thank You Borders, cut from copper mirror card, for my greeting.  I also used the grasses from Gleeful Gardens on my background which was created using Distress Oxide inks in Speckled Egg, Bundled Sage, and some Peeled Paint.  The flowers were cut from paper I colored with Distress Oxide as well, Worn Lipstick and Seedless Preserves.    I then grunged them all up with Walnut Stain and some shimmery copper splatters.  I tried really hard at the end to ruin them with glue everywhere because, you know, it's not fun(exhilarating) unless you try to mess it up just as your almost finishing a project...

I could not decide on a greeting so I used 3 different ones.  The Hello is new just got that one while in Iowa at Scrapmania.  I love being able to use new product within a month of getting it, instead of putting it away and forgetting about it
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look.  Hope you have a Wonderful Weekend.

Scrappy Weekend Recap 3 Layouts

Catching up on some kits I made for Fall crops.  I always kit more than I need so I have a bunch of fall themed layouts to catch up on.   Which you'll see here in this recap.   I did put together this quick layout from  a pumpkin patch visit down in Leipers Fork while we were down in TN a few years ago.  Most of the pictures are of my Mom, isn't she cute!   I'm sure that last photo was her saying why are you still taking pictures.

This layout used a turkey I colored with my markers.  Bob and I look very excited while Emily works on her Thanksgiving Day craft project.  It's funny to go back and see old photos.  I remember that furniture and kids stuff in the background.

Last one for this weekend.  Here I used a base page I created awhile ago.  The paper is K&co from a pad I think.  The kids were enjoying lunch I made them some turkey dogs and they thought it was amazing they could eat them off of sticks.

I'm hoping  I can pick up the pace for 2021 to get going on my yearly goal.  Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a Wonderful Day.

Scrappy Sunday - Victoria Marie Online Crop It's Fall Y'all - Sunday Challenge 1 & 2

More layouts from the Victoria Marie Online Crop for September.  The above layout was a fall page with non traditional fall colors.  I had a page kit made up with older scraps like Junkitz and Scenic Route along with some bits of card stock that matched.  I am thrilled with how this turned out.  I cut the title out of white then distressed it to look like roasted marshmallows.
This challenge was the sketch challenge so self explanatory.   I know I'm still doing baby, toddler, grade school, and high school pictures for these 2 but they are almost completely grown.  It was fun to do really current pictures like from only a few weeks ago.  The paper is from Hobby Lobby but perfect for this event.

Thanks for taking a look I have one more set of layouts to share so tomorrow.

Scrappy Saturday - Victoria Marie Crop - Challenge 3 & 4

These challenges are from the Victoria Marie It's Fall Y'all Virtual Crop we had a great time doing them and I have more layouts to photograph and post.

This challenge was to do a Fall Bucket List.  I'm literal what can I say.  I had a good time creating this though.  I created the bucket and leaves with the Silhouette.  Now we just need to check back often and do all of these things.
This challenge was to scrap something challenging or difficult I guess.   I've never scrapped my Dad before.  He passed away right before my 21st Birthday it was sudden and very hard for everyone.  I have a bunch of photos of him so I think I may do more at least one about his love for Fishing.  Anyhoo these were all scraps of paper I had in my scrap bin which matched the fall leaves in this picture so well.

Thanks for taking a look have a Great Day.

Scrappy Saturday - Victoria Marie Online Crop It's Fall Y'all - Saturday Challenge 1 & 2

These are a bit backwards.  Above is challenge 2 which was to use a quote.  The pictures are from Emily's  4yr old preschool trip apple picking.   I did loving using this base page I created awhile back from larger scraps.  And I'm loving this color scheme for a Fall Page which matches the kids shirts and the green of the trees.  I got to use a wonderful birthday present to create my quote mini tile letters from the Stamp Market.  Very exciting!   The apples are a Martha Stewart punch and the title are Thickers in Navy.
This is challenge1 and is about Fall changes and transitions.  I love the sticker that says Always Forward Never Back.  The pictures are from our trip to the Sunflower patch a couple of weeks ago.  I tried really hard to get good pictures of the Bee's at work.  They were not interested in me taking their photo though.  This paper is from our August Scraproom kit, it's by Photoplay.  I added clear gesso to the white card stock and did a little mixed media on the background.

Scrapbooking - Fall Life

This layout came out of one of my page kits.  I have a ton of these set up and ready to go for whenever the scrapbooking bug tickles me.  Each kit usually includes a couple of pieces of pattern paper.  Maybe a specific embellishment or two and some cardstock.  This one in particular had patterned paper cardstock and some scraps.  I got a new tool from WRMK the Alphabet Punch Board, so I was excited to use it as well as a new Heidi Swapp stencil.  I love how the cluster at the top turned out(embellishments not from the kit but from my embellishment box).  As well as the stenciled background.  I love getting back to doing techniques on my layouts.  The title cut from the WRMK Alphabet Punch Board is cut from a very old piece of I think Wild Asparagus paper.  EEEP that is old.   My stash goes back over 20 years some of these things I just can't part with I must use!

The Picture Story - This is how I decorate my porch for fall.  I wasn't expecting snow so early before Thanksgiving this year though.  But I love the dusting on top of my display!

Thank you once a gain for returning.  I'm enjoying working in my craft room again.

Final Day Fab 5 Fall Card - Day 5

Finally one last card for the Fab 5 Fall Card Series.  I used some techniques on this one.   First I made my own stencil with a Memory Box Die.  Then I created my own Copper colored paste with the Wendy Vecchi Gold paste and some Golden Burnt Sienna Fluid Acrylic.  I'm so happy how the paste turned out.  Once it was dry I used it as a resist to give the cardstock a green background.  It went perfect with my Memory Box patterned paper.  Finally I created my greeting using my favorite alphabet the Script Lowercase and embellished it with leaves that I were leftover from my stencil making.  I just inked them up.  The final touches were some Copper Mirror card, copper cording and green and orange rhinestones.

This turned out to be a card that grew into itself as I was creating it.  I even heard from Dave, he told me it was his favorite from the week long series.   He really likes the techniques...

We've had so much fun creating projects for this series and hope you've enjoyed it as well.  It's kind of sad it's over.  But I'm sure there will be another project to inspire......  Don't forget to stop by Dianne's blog I See A Pattern Forming and check out her ADORABLE creation for today!

Day 4 of the Fab 5 Fall Cards - Memory Box

And we're back with another Fab 5 Fall Card.  This one is from my post over on the Memory Box Blog this afternoon.  It's a happy fall card using Memory Box Stamps and dies.

The first die I chose to work with today is the Counrty Fence Oval Frame die which I filled with fall leaves from the Autumn Birdie stamp set.  I layered some color onto the Country Fence scene and added one of the Turkeys from the Classic Tom Turkeys die set.  The happy fall is also from the Autumn Birdie stamp set as well.  I've outlined it and the oval with a Metallic Gold pen from Prismacolor.  This is how it looks outside my window right now.  Well minus the Turkey.  But with the leaves falling in all colors!  I love Fall and the crisp air and beautiful colors and tried to convey all of that here.
We're so excited your joining us for the Fab 5 Fall cards!   Thank you so much for coming each day!  We have one more day so be sure to stop back by tomorrow!  Be sure to check out Dianne's AMAZING card today on her blog I See A Pattern Forming!

Day 3 Fab 5 Fall Cards - Misted Leaves

Hello WEDNESDAY!  We re more than half way through the Fab 5 Fall Cards!  How fun!

Today my share has some misted leaves.  I actually misted an entire piece of watercolor paper with Distress Stains and Shimmer Mists then die cut them, with the LawnFawn stitched leaves, after the paper dried.  The thanks, also from LawnFawn,  was cut from copper mirror card and the for being so thoughtful comes from the LawnFawn set Many Thanks.  Everything is layered onto ivory cardstock and again on a piece of Basic Grey patterned paper.  The card base has a swiss dot embossed ivory piece on it.  Lastly I added some copper and lime green stickles for sparkle.

Fab 5 Fall Cards - Day 2 - Fall in the Neighborhood...

Hello Tuesday!  We experienced another amazing concert last night.  This time it was the 7th & 8th Grade Orchestra Concert.  They were WONDERFUL and it was a very pleasant evening of course we finished with ice cream at Daisy's so what could be bad about that?

So today is Day 2 of our Fab 5 Fall Cards!  I have a fun card to share I used some Fancy Pants paper to create my background and a Poppy Die for the houses.  The trees are cut with a Memory Box die.  I punched the moon from more Fancy Pants paper and put a brown grosgrain bow on it for some more textures.  The hills are cut free hand and inked.  I did use a stray piece of Doodlebug paper for the roofs of the houses.  I love this little neighborhood so sweet and ready for fall!
Hope you've enjoyed Tuesday's card.  We will return tomorrow with another fall card to add to the collection!  Be sure to check out Dianne's blog at I See A Pattern Forming for her inspiring card today!
Thank you so much for stopping by!  Enjoy your day.

Day 1 Fab 5 Fall Cards - Many Thanks

Happy Monday!  Hope everyone had an amazing crisp Fall weekend. We enjoyed ours and ended it with the Palatine Children's Chorus Fall concert.

So today we are starting our Fab 5 Fall Card series.  I love this series because I Love Fall and everything that goes along with it!   I'm starting my Fab 5 Fall cards with a, Copic Colored image on kraft, card using a focal point image from LawnFawn's Happy Harvest stamp set.  Adore this little scarecrow with his little crow friends.

For the corn I just masked off my scarecrow and birdies and stamped corn stalks over and over to create his backdrop of a field.  The dirt I colored in.  One of my little crows got cut out and put on the Many Thanks banner.  All of the patterned paper is from the LawnFawn Into the Woods 6x6 paper pack.  The kraft embossed piece used my Perfect Paisley embossing folder rubbed lightly with some fall color inks.   Finally I've added just a little bow in a dark brown twill.
Hope you've enjoyed today's card.  I will return tomorrow with another fall card to add to the collection!

Fall Thanks - Memory Box Card - Discovering Die Cuts Today

Good Morning, I'm over on the Memory Box Blog today.  With another Fall Thank You card, since Fall is officially here not only in date but also just with the weather.  It's time to begin staying in and crafting on gloomy, rainy, cold days.

For this card I used the Elliana Background 98956 which is cut out of Gold Mirror Card.  I pieced together a background fall colored strips of cardstock and popped up the Elliana Background with foam tape over the handmade background.    I layered some of the Marvelous Maple Leaves 98766 in the bottom right corner using the Fall Colored Cardstock found in the background then I cut the Thanks Cloud 98875 on top of the leaves to make the word pop.

The card is a standard A2 Card and measures 4.25" x 5.5".   The Elliana Background 98956 measures 4.25" x 5.5" as well  so it completely covers the card.  I love the idea of creating your own background with this die, not just piecing paper but also stamping or many die cuts as well as patterned paper, fabric, ribbon etc.  Use up your scraps.  Depending on what colors and textures you choose this die could go for any Season, Holiday or Event.

Memory Box Items used on this card -
