Spring to these little cuties means we get to sit in the sun. It's our favorite thing to do, well that and barking at anyone that dares to walk on their side of the street or any bikes. Used some Washi Tape on this layout along with a kit from the Scraproom.

Our New Lettuce Garden
I look forward to Spring and planting our garden each year. We have a Veggie Garden and and Herb Garden and this year Dave built me this gutter garden to house various lettuce. I love how it turned out and will be adding more types of lettuces and leafy greens.
I've also added some romaine stems from lettuce purchased from the grocery store and was pleasantly surprised that they are growing along with all the others.
Time to go do some weeding hope everyone is having a great day. Thanks for taking a look.
Ugly Paper Lovely Day - Scrappy Saturday
Okay this week Dianne and I challenged ourselves to use some ugly papers we have in our stash. Here are the papers I chose from a paper pad. Super busy and not my favorite colors. I did have to go looking for a picture I could use on this layout. I found one of a tree from a neighborhood walk. I loved how beautiful and full of flowers this tree was.
To utilize these papers I added some white over the top of the geometric paper and then did some paper weaving with the floral butterfly paper to frame the photo and give me a landing spot for journaling and embellishments. The embellishments are just out of my color boxes for he most part. I framed my white paper with gold sticker strips and added gold dots to the center of all of the punched flowers I found in my stash box. It isn't the worst layout I have created. It's certainly not the best and the papers still make me cringe a little but I'm happy I tried some different techniques and challenged myself. It's great to use little challenges to deep dive into your stash and do something new.
As you can see we're getting a little bored here so doing more and more challenges. Thanks for stopping by sending out Hugs to everyone!
Before the Storm - Spring Showers
My crab apple tree is my favorite flowering tree in our yard. Every year I try to get pictures of it's beautiful lushness before one of the many rain storms comes along and removes all the petals.
This year I got out between waves of rain and got some pictures of the buds and blooms. I hope it stays around for a sunny day.
There are tons of buds and they are pretty strong so I'm holding out for a in full bloom photo in the next couple of weeks. But look at that storm coming our way and we are expecting frost????? EEEEK
Spring Craft Fair - Fremd
We had a great Spring Craft Fair at Fremd this past weekend. Our booth was Awesome and the customers were amazing. Thank you to everyone that stopped by to see us. We appreciate your support so much and couldn't do it without you cheering us on!
We will be attending a few shows in the Fall be sure to check our schedule posted here for details, dates and times.
Thank you so much for dropping in to see what we're up to.
Seed Starting - Garden
This year we are staring our garden early. I blame the ridiculous cold and snow here. Every weekend snow and ice then after driving in it on Monday the rest of the week is bitter cold negative degrees. UGHH seems to be never ending. Anyhoo this has motivated me to start planting the garden so we got a bunch of seeds and we're off.
Dave rigged up a grow light over our trays of plants so they get artificial sun throughout the growing process. I can't wait to see how it turns out. In the mean time it's nice to have green growing in the house.
We will be tearing out the old garden bed in back and putting in a new one since the wood on the old one is dying. Can't wait for planting season.
So glad you stopped by today to see what we're up to. Keep Warm.

Hello Blue Skies
I'm getting excited for Spring. We've had a lot of rain here as of late which is a bummer but everything is turning green and my tulips and other flowers are starting to come up so I am hopeful Spring is just around the corner.
In that respect I've been trying to create some happy Sunny cards. I found this wavy textured paper in my stash. It is probably over 15 years old and I've been saving it that long. I finally gave myself permission to use it. I love the texture it gives this card. I used some Memory Box Dies as well as Impression Obsession and a gold Hello sticker. All together this card made me Happy I hope it makes you Happy as well.
Thank you for stopping by to visit. I'm going to share how I organize my small embellishments like brads and buttons this weekend. Hope you can stop back by!
Hopping Down the Bunny Trail
Good Morning! Almost time for Easter. I'm getting ready a bit here and a bit there. We usually have the Easter Dinner here. I'm hoping this year we have no snow it's not looking good at the moment but we have two weeks so I am hopeful.
This card was created with Doodlebug Papers and a Lori Whitlock file from the Silhouette Store.
Have a Happy Day!
Spring is Coming Spring is Coming
Just a little proof that it will not be Winter FOREVER as it seems!
Flowerful
Today on the Bombshell Blog we are using Celebrating Flowers for Spring. I had fun with this and my watercolor paints. The flower is from the Bombshell Angel set and the phrase if from Banner Sayings set. After water coloring and waiting for it to dry.......(waiting is borning) I added some sparkle with Stickles in the center of the flowers and some Wink of Stella on the banner.
Why not celebrate the coming of Spring with some flowers! It's lots of fun! Have am Amazing Day!
I Love Spring! And my Last Class of the Month - Fabulous Folds
I'll be teaching this at Craft Fancy today. I was trying to use my photo cube thingy today can you tell I have no idea what I'm doing with the lighting. OMG I'll figure that out eventually. SORRY. They really look better in person, actual samples are in the store. There are a few kits available as well.
Spring Blooms with Memory Box
Good Morning Marnie today sharing a project over on the Memory Box Blog with the Aubrey Bloom Set 98830 along with on of my favorites Butterfly Delights. I love how the Aubrey Bloom Set cuts the layering pieces for you as your working with it, it even scores them so you can really have to build a beautiful bloom. I chalked them before folding them and adding only a line of glue to the fold line so they would stand up. The butterflies are only glued dow on one wing so they also stand up adding more texture to the card. I've added another favorite the greeting Spring Sings B1337.
This morning we watched a Hot Air Balloon fly over hopefully that is a sign that we are done with the sub zero temps and the snow will have a chance to melt! At least it's sunny and it didn't snow today! It's the little things.
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look! Have a great day.
Doing Some Napkin Art
For a long time I've done Napkin Art I just love the beautiful 3 ply napkins you can get at some of the Home Stores. Way to fancy to wipe my hands on so I like to turn them into altered art and cards and such. I have taught this a couple of times in my Terrific Techniques class @Craft Fancy in the past. Maybe it's time for another class using these wonderful little works of art. This one was created with a Floral Motif Napkin and a Rolled Flower Die from Spellbinders. For the Greeting I used one of my favorite greeting sets from Bombshell Stamps - Banner Sayings. It turned out to be a Fresh Spring card when it's not "fresh" or "spring" considering we are covered in snow and in the deep freeze. I have more I will share again later.
Thanks for stopping by!
Butterfly Drifting Milk Carton Set
Hello everyone! I've created a card for today, on the Memory Box Blog using a couple of the new Stencils "Butterfly Drifting - 88504" and "Butterfly Vine - 88524" they are very cool and work together perfectly. First I stenciled with the "Butterfly Drifting - 88504" and white embossing paste on turquoise cardstock and let it dry. Then I sponged over it with the "Butterfly Vine - 88524"
and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. The affect is very cool and the
techniques are endless with these stencils. I layered everything onto "Currant Distressed Dots" and a white cardstock with some green ribbon. I also used the "Joy Script - 98641" as the greeting on the card. When that was done I used a some leftover Turquoise cardstock to cut the "Buttermilk Carton - 98739"
from and did the embossing paste process on all four sides of the
carton before taping it together. I then added flowers with the "Sophia Bloom Set - 98840" along the bottom with a little glitter in the middle for sparkle. Again using Pink Cardstock and the "Currant Distressed Dots"
Hope
your enjoying all of the beautiful things created here on the MB Blog with
the new dies. Be sure to check everything out for this entire week!
It's Raining It's Pouring - Literally - Bombshell April Sketch
It has been a stormy week here. So this card is somewhat appropriate. Well It's way to cold for bathing suits but the umbrella is a must for going outside now. As long as you don't let the wind catch it!
This card was created for the April Bombshell Sketch above Kathi posted over at the Bombshell Blog. I used the Bombshell Angel Stamp Set and an Umbrella and Raindrop Die to embellish her. The Angel is colored and cut out and pieced together. I had to do her right hand twice and glue one on top of the other to maker her look like she is holding the umbrella. It's hard to see in the photo but the raindrops, umbrella handle, and flowers are all glazed and shiny.
Oh and I won some Bombshell Bucks from the Roving Prize Patrol(Alaine Thank You for your kind comments) for my Bombshell Angel Card in March. Very Very Exciting!
Happy Wednesday! Hope you all have a great day and stay dry! Thanks for stopping by to take a look.
