Christmas Cards - Fun With Scraps

These cards were way fun to create.  I just wen thru my Christmas scraps and punched various size circles.   After stamping my greeting with a Gina K stamp I set the circles around it.   Some are flat and some are popped up with foam tape.  Lastly I added some enamel dots and layered it all onto a kraft card base.
I do love how they turned out and they have been super popular at craft fairs.  I have another one coming up on the 18th so that is exciting.

In the mean time we are packing for this weekends retreat!  So excited to get away with friends and play.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look,  hope you are enjoying your week.

Tea Cup Mother's Day Cards - Etsy Shop

Good Morning.  I added a new set of Mother's Day cards to the Etsy Shop.  I love how these came out.  I cut various pieces of Pink and Red patterned paper into tea cups added a punched lace border and some leaves and flowers.  These turned out better than I imagined after I figured out how to layer the cups.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.  We're back at it this week.  Creating and Crafting.

Sending You Love - Card

Welcome to the Month of Love.....   These were created with a MMH Kit(My Monthly Hero).  I love Hero Arts kits they create the most awesome cards.   The images were colored with Copics and popped up on blue shimmer cardstock.  The little hearts have stickles on them.

This wrap around cloud die is my current favorite there is so much you can do with it.   I did add stickles to the edge of the cloud for sparkle.
I created these a little different I cut a portrait card but pushed it over on it's side.  I thought that was cute for the plane it elongates the card somehow.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look.

There's Always A Rainbow At The End of Every Rain

Had fun creating these cute cards with a MMH (My Monthly Hero) Kit.  Love the wrap around cloud die and the cute sun peaking out.  I colored the 2 images with Copic markers and layered everything up on top of silver shimmer cardsotck distressing the cloud a little with some grey ink.

The sentiment is perfect and so very true.

Super happy about the way they turned out.  I'm always  a fan of Hero Arts stamps and dies, they always work perfectly.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a Wonderful Day.

Thank You You're The Best Cards

I created these cards for a Friend that wanted to give a Thank You to some parents that helped her pick out foreign language books for her classroom.  I stamped and embossed this Hero Arts background then water colored everything.  The greeting is by Queen & Co.  and cut out of foam then layered on black.

They turned out cute and I'm sure will be well received.

Such a beautiful weekend we are having.  Stay safe and healthy.  Hugs!

Easter Cards - Happy Easter

Good Morning.  Happy Easter.  Well tomorrow is Easter but I wanted to share my Easter Cards for this year and I'll be cooking tomorrow morning so we're a day early.  I worked on these at a crop in January they turned out pretty cute.  I was so excited one of my new frame dies from Crafters Companion looked like tulips all around the decorative edge.  It was perfect for these very spring cards.   The background papers are Doodlebug and the Chocolate Bunnies are Lawn Fawn that I colored with Copics and cut out.

We are off to work on Carrot Cake (Abbi's Baking) and Whoopi Pies (Emily & Saul are baking) for tomorrows dinner.  This year I am only dessert support.  Otherwise the meal is pretty much the same tomorrow except I've added corn casserole to the mix this year.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Easter.  Enjoy your families.

Valentine Card - Spellbinder Small Die of the Month January 2021

My Spellbinders kit comes late in the month.  Sometimes I hat this and sometimes I love that it gives me time to plan what I'm going to do.  I had some fun creating some Valentine Cards with this one.  I also added some old greeting dies I had in my stash to complete this.

Valentine Cards - Washi Tape Valentine

So I'm trying to get some Valentine cards done and use up some of my stash that was part of my 2021 Goals this year. (I have a post on this here) I have an entire container of Washi tape I want to use up so I pulled out reds, pinks and blacks and grabbed some more from my regular stash to create these backgrounds.
I then pulled out all my Love/Valentine dies and used these to create the greetings and to cut the larger hearts.  All of this is popped up with foam tape over the washi tape background.
It was fun using up stash and some dies I forget I have.

I love the washi tape backgrounds I think I'll try this for another set of cards at some point.  I will say this though, washi tape is hit or miss.  There was a lot of cussing when I would get to a roll that just would not peal up.  I think I tossed about 3 full rolls, my patience is lacking when things don't work as they should.  There was a lot of garbagey pieces for the ones that worked even.

I am going to revise my 2021 goals just a bit when I get to the quarter to include cards and other projects not just layouts.  Since I  do all kinds of paper crafts and as long as I'm using stash it should count?  No?

Fun With Scraps - Christmas Cards

I had a little crafting session with a friend last night.  I pulled out all my Christmas Scraps both paper and other types of scraps(die cuts, colored images etc.) then I grabbed my pre cut card bases and holiday embellishments.   This all filled up my dining room table and we just sat down and created cards with what was there.  It was a lot of fun and a little challenging some times.  These are the 7 cards I completed.  My friend created another 8.  Now we on our way to getting our Holidays in order.  I will definitely do this again.
Please note this red dot paper(if you know you know) it is treasured and I cannot believe I used it????
A bunch of Holiday copic colored images just sitting in my stash.  Why?   I just like coloring I guess?

Hope this inspires you to sit down and use up some scraps while getting ahead for the Holidays.   Thank you for stopping by and taking a look.  Have a great day.

Here For You Anytime - Etsy Shop

Added to the Etsy Shop this week is they adorable Cuckoo Clock Card - With everything going on in the world right now it is important to let those close to you know you are there for them and thinking of them.  Getting something this adorable in the mail would make anyone smile.
The little clock is hand colored and cut out  then raised up with foam tape.  The background paper is dry embossed with polka dots.  And there is a hand stitched line added to the border.
Glad you could stop by!  Hope all is well and your having a great start to the Summer.   If you have a moment stop by the Etsy Shop for more new items coming again.

Watercolor Wreath Cards - Etsy Shop

Newly added to the Etsy Shop.  These Watercolor Wreath Cards were fun to create and turned out beautiful.  They are really hard to show in a photo.  There is sparkle in the flowers and leaves that just don't translate online but in person they really SHINE.

I used various water based markers mostly Distress Ink markers and a spritzer bottle to create these cards.  This stamp really does all the hard work.

Each card turns out so different like a little unique masterpiece of it's own.  It was so fun to see how they would each look.
These stamps come from a new order from Spellbinders recently.  I got so many fun new stamps and dies I had to try them out.
Thank you for coming by to take a look and if you get a chance have a look in the Etsy Shop to see what new fun things are being added.

Sugar Skull - Part of the Process

A little peek at some of the pieces I've been working  on for an upcoming CARS swap.  Our challenge for May is Holiday Cards.  I've chosen to create these Sugar Skulls.  No stamping this time just a die cut skull.  I hand drew the flowers and other details then colored them in with my Prisma Color Pencils.  I just have to figure out how to display them now that they are complete.

Hope all is well with everyone and Thanks for stopping by I so appreciate it.

Every Little Kindess

I recently created a few of these for the Etsy Shop.  These are perfect for Thinking of You notes or a Thank You.  Even if it just a Thank You for the smallest kindess like calling to check on you during these intense times.  I know a lot of people I should mail these out to, I'm sure it will put a smile on everyone's faces.  People just love to display handmade cards that make them happy every day while stuck in the house.
I love how they turned out using Distress Oxides and  a bit of water.  Makes them very sun drenched looking.
Thank you so much for stopping by I hope everyone is Safe and Well!  Hugs to you all.

Mother's Day Card - Etsy Shop

New Mother's Day card up in the Etsy Shop today.

I really love this delicate cherry blossom with the little white centers.  I also love the brown it's a nice break from stark black. This would make a lovely card for anyone's Mom!
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look around.  Hope everyone is Safe and Well.

Mother's Day Cards - Etsy Shop

I've been creating some Mother's Day cards for my Etsy Shop this week.  I love how these turned out.  I used a 6x6 pad and some dies with shimmer and mirror cardstocks.
These can be found in My Etsy Shop Here.

This is set one
This is set two.
I love these soft blue and yellow colors.
Thank you for  stopping by hope you're having a great day!

Bucket of Hearts With Love - Valentine Card Series

YAY more cards from Scrap Die Cuts.  I was so on a roll with the last card that I had to continue with another.  More of the same hearts and I found this Awesome Bucket in my box of scrap die cuts.  I believe it is Memory Box or Poppy Stamps as well.  Who doesn't want buckets full of hearts for Valentines?  The greeting is Silver Sticker.  Hardest part of this card was filling the bucket with hearts.  I love making these quick adorable cards for Valentines!
Hope you are enjoying the Valentine Card Ideas.  Thank you for stopping by for a visit!

January Card Swap - Snowman

This is my card for the CARS club swap this Thursday, well we are expecting some weather so maybe postponed until February but either way this is the card it's just a paper pieced snowman.  I did end up using some circle punches for the eyes and mouth as well as the heart.  Otherwise it is all hand cut.  It was plain looking so I added the stitching with a white pen as well.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a warm week and be safe in the snow!

America The Beautiful - Stars and Stripes Card Series

It's that time the last card in this series but not least at all.  The girl is a free digital stamp by Whimsie Doodles Stamps.  I love these stamps illustrated by Melyssa Connolly they are so adorable!   I love this little girl.  She is waiting for the 4th of July Parade don't you think.  I loved coloring her with Copic Markers and got on a bit of a coloring kick with the previous card in this series.  The Copic colors used are in the photo below.

For this card I have die cut the patterned paper (Pebbles Let Freedom Ring series) with the Lifestyle Crafts Banner die set.  The girl I fussy cut and positioned onto the John Adams paper so that I can have her holding one of the sparklers which I have Stickled.  I've just drawn a line with my Copic Multiliner and  a ruler.  The America the Beautiful banner is cut from the Samuel Adams paper and popped up on the card.  I've also added a bit of twine at the top.  I almost forgot the red stars are from the USA in the last card.

So now we've reached the end of this series.  The next series of cards will be Tropical Summer cards Fun Fun Fun I can't wait for you to see what all of the fun cards and a special surprise!  Can't wait Can't wait Can't wait......  Ok enough for now hope your having a Wonderful Start to your week.  Hugs!
