Lotus Garden - Muse Monday

Today I have a project on the Bombshell Blog for Muse Monday.  The stamp set this month is Lotus Garden.  I love the Koi in this set they are so much fun to use.  I've been working with Alcohol inks lately and I love the affect of water with just some blues and lavenders and just a smidgen of pearl.  I heat embossed the fish in silver on top of the background.  The greeting is an embossing folder.  I covered some cardstock with my silver tape and embossed it so fun.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Hope you have a great day.

Delivering Trucks of Love

MBdumptruckI'm back at the Memory Box Blog today with a fun boyish card.    You know how sometimes you have an idea but it's not quite cooked?  Well this was half cooked idea then I was sitting chatting with my kiddos and BAM crazy how fast the completed idea comes and I had to get up and do it right away before I forgot.  I dug through my drawers and found my furnace tape and my Alcohol Inks and colored up a piece of tape with a yellow/gold color.  I then cut out 3 of the Dump Trucks.  With a Black copic I carefully colored the outside of the wheels and set them aside.  Then came the background piece which was sponged with brown, green and blue Distress ink to create an outdoor scene.  Using the Happy Arrows Stencil I created a sign by stenciling Distress Ink over it outlining it in black ink and cutting it out.   The brown is just a couple of handcut strips of brown cardstock and the sign is stuck on top to create the sign posts.   At this point one truck get cut in half so that it can be dumping some of the hearts on the ground. Then the Dump Trucks are stuck down and a ton of hearts are cut with the Heart of Hearts Die and put into the back of the trucks.  Hope you like it I am totally excited by the metal trucks!   This would be a fun fun Boy Card you could put all kinds of things in the truck.

A Beautiful Day

It has totally been a beautiful day!  Started a bunch of work for the craft fair and some Etsy orders.  Got most of the house cleaned up.  Trying as always to stay on top of laundry. Making a wonderful Balsamic Roast for dinner and then later munchies so Dave and I can pretend its date night  after the kids go to bed with a movie and snacks in the Family Room.   We will just pretend we are out and about and all alone.   I still have that nice bottle of wine Dave got me for my birthday and we have a new movie that just came so it should be fun.

Big plans for this weekend to get all of my craft fair items done so I can package and price next week.  I also have one more set of class samples to finish up and I'm done with classes for this month!  COOL  And I want to try a new cinnamon roll recipe tomorrow.  Oooh Yummy!

The card above is from one of my distress classes over the summer.  We embossed metal and alcohol inked it.  This is one of the techniques we learned when we saw Tim in Michigan in the spring.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!  We will!

Cracking Up

Well not really but this cracked glass technique is pretty cool!  Another thing we are learning in the Techniques class tomorrow at Craft Fancy.  There are still a couple of spaces left.

So what are you doing?  I'm making cheesecake and cleaning house.  Or maybe I should say avoiding cleaning house.  It's so beautiful I just want to make a big glass of ice tea and sit out on the deck.  But then who will mop the floor and fold the laundry?  Wait I can get the kids to fold the laundry.  Hmmmmm.   I'm going to see how far along they are with their homework.  Have a great evening I'll be scrapping with my Schnockered friends tonight!  Woo Hoo!

Happy Monday

What a cool crisp Fall start to our day we had!  I love it Fall is my favorite time of year.  I can't wait for the leaves on the trees to start changing.  So we were all busy with work and school and regular Monday stuff.   I got to change the window displays at work today to Fall and Christmas.  That's always fun!   I was really motivated this morning and made a big pot of chilie in the crock pot for dinner! YUMMY!  Everyone here loves chilie there was cheering for dinner!  HA I think it's because Dave insists we eat it with Fritos.  What kid doesn't like Fritos?

So this week I'm teaching a couple of classes my favorite being Terrific Techniques.  The card above is one of the samples from that class.  The fall Memory Box stamps are so much fun.  We're using those this week.  Anyway check out the stores website for the calendar and blog with info.  Fun Fun Fun!  Hope you had a great day!
